I actually agree with you, Kipper. I included them because they were among the concrete facts I had managed to deduce from the lynch, not because I anticipated they would be useful. Really, the most critical thing to take away from that post is the list of King/Queen suspects.

Winter, I'd say that that's absolutely possible. After all, Hrathen had the poison and a Seon.

--------------------

These Arelenes were crazy! Len had shown up at this speech because he thought it might be interesting; even without Forgery, it had been a simple enough matter to fake an invitation. Well, it had turned out a little too interesting -- Two people were dead, and from the looks on everyone's faces, this was only the beginning.

Len winced as he recalled his own part in one of those deaths. Everyone had been yelling at everyone else; he'd just panicked! How was he supposed to know that they would all suddenly stop and listen to him?

He walked casually by the exits, covertly taking note of the armed and alert guard at each. How long do they intend to keep us in here? Until the killers, these cultists, were caught, he supposed.

He sighed. I may as well get to work. He found a seat with a good view of the other guests, pulled out his book and charcoal, and started writing.

I'm sure there are people with roles who have items. I think the Gyorn probably has a Seon, maybe poison as well. He isn't likely to have the korathi pendant, however. :P

Clankii was supposed to be here. No, fated to be here. Unlike some here who seemed like they had just crawled out of a pile of rotten fish not been invited to the most important event of the year! Yes Clankii the most revered and respected fortune teller in all of Arelon deserved to be here. This should have only been a place for the greatest men and women in Kae but it was now filled with all sorts of despicable people.

But now things were different. Instead of being given an extremely important role by the Patriarch to help prevent the spread of the Jeskeri Mysteries Cult (which is obviously why he was invited in the first place ) he was right at the front lines of the war. With the Patriarch murdered and the guards keeping everyone locked in the palace Clankii had an even more important job then the one the Patriarch surely would have given Clankii if he were still alive.

Clankii would help all the people here in the palace see into the murky depths of the future to help them catch the cultists! For a small price that is.

-----------

If anyone would like me to read their future I would be happy to and I promise that it will entirely 100% correct*. Just tell me in the thread and I will see what I can do.

*100% correct is a trademarked name of Clankii Fortune Telling Industries, it does not guarantee the validity of any statements made by The Great Clankii himself.

Well, I just got my first downvote. Someone downvoted one of my posts in the Day.

The one about terminology. I realize that it was probably a misclick, but if it wasn't, I apologize for any offensiveness.

"Yes of course I will tell you what lies in your future!"

Of course everyone here must have heard of The Great Clankii and would be lining to learn of their future. Clankii focused on the one called Kae and looked into the future.

"I see, hmmm, your future is cloudy there are many paths you can still take."

This one was tough it was like the future changed every time he said something, still some things were constant.

"I see one who was once an enemy then a friend and then no longer a friend. No matter what choices you make eventually you will meet again."

Then a strange look, almost a look of fear crossed Clankiis face. He began speaking quickly. "And you will live a long and happy life. Goodbye"

Clankii walked quickly away from the one called Kae. Of course that last part was made up. What he had really seen was death and pain in Kaes future. It was a dark future unlike any he had ever seen before. He had long ago learned that nobody wants to hear that their future would be terrible and would always end his tellings with a happy note. However this one troubled him. He looked back at Kae one more time and tried  to forget what he had seen.

Winter, if I took too many liberties with Kae tell me and I can change this.

I always just assume that Kae and Cleo will survive and meet again somehow. Even if they do die.  :P

Another thing he hadn't done, thought Kaian. The first day had been...chaotic, it was the word he kept coming back to, and not for the first time, he felt both afraid and excited. It was something other than the stultifying order of the monastery. That was the point. And that was the problem. A constant babble of some voices, silence everywhere else, and that silent, silent one--MenE, he remembered, snatching the memory like a fish--watching. Never saying anything, just watching with those eyes.

What harm could it do?

He walked forward, approaching the fortune teller. "Please," he said. "Tell me my future."

The ferret chattered in his pocket.

Kipper is the gyorn! Lynch him on the morrow! (Just kidding, look at his rep)

Don't discount the possibility of it being true.  Tulirs rep had him as a Pahn Kahl in LG4 and it was right. :o  So maybe we should kill Kipper just in case. :P

By the way, I was wondering where all those people got those cool pictures in their signatures based off their Sanderson Elimination playing. Kasimirs' say Kas: Kingkiller. King's Wit. Good guy., the Wyrm Inquisition: the truth is written in blood, and House Urbain: The Few. The Proud. The Urbain.

Did you see Wyrm's and Wilson's? I think there's a renegade graphic artist here. :P

Yeah, I saw those ones. You mean Renegade is a graphic artist or there is a graphic artist?

EDIT: I want one too.

What do you think I meant?

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!!!! :D

You don't say.

Quick OOC clarification because I realised my RP could be read wrongly: Kaian just finds MenE disquieting; it's a character thing. I just wanted to dash off some quick characterisation since I've been neglecting RP in recent games and to take up Clanky's offer, really ;)

Edit: I realised the worst thing is that Ren can't say anything about this since he's stuck in Elantris :P

Already there were more lining up for a chance to have their future read by The Great Clankii! Come one, Come all to see his wondrous powers!

Clankii was still slightly upset by what he had seen in Kaes future. What he needed now was an easy happy telling to set his mind right. The next one to volunteer was Kaian.

Yes this one should work well thought Clankii, he looks at everything with a wide-eyed look of awe as though he had been hidden away his whole life till now. He is probably a nobles son finally let out of his parents keep to explore the world for the first time. I suppose he got more than he bargained for when he entered this palace.

"Ok Kaian I need you to clear your mind so the great Clankii can look beyond time into your fuuuuuture!"

Although Clankii did have real power to see the future his more important skill was reading people and telling what they wanted to hear.

"You have just begun a long and wonderful journey, you will see many marvellous things, things you didn't know existed! You will never be alone as you will always be together with your companion the.... Ferret?" Who carries a ferret around in their pocket?

Then suddenly Clankiis voice changed to a deep eerie tone  "That is if you live long enoughWhy did I say that, I wanted to make this a happy reading!

"All are in grave danger for as long as they stay in this palace! You are all marked for death! Death lives in this place and it shall soon be joined by its companion, the Shaod." What is happening to me? I can't control it. "There is no hope. There is no escape."

Suddenly Clankii stopped talking. Everyone around him was staring.

"That will be all the readings I will be doing today! Now everyone begone I must rest!" Clankii rushed those words out faster than he ever had before. He then fled to an open corner of the room. He didn't stop shaking until hours later when sleep finally took him.

Comic sans is the perfect choice for scary text right?

Also I probably don't have time to do any more RP tonight but I can probably do some more Fortune telling next cycle if anyone else wants.

Just as a reminder, a little over 2 hours until rollover time.

Also, while I'm at it, I have a few rule clarifications I've been meaning to post. However, the main thread has been locked so I haven't been able to edit the rules clarifications post.

Seon gifts

A player may have multiple seons (or any item for that matter), if he inherits them or they are given to him. Their effects are cumulative, meaning that the player could open up more than one PM with other players during each phase.

If a Seon is given to a player who is already an Elantrian, the Seon immediately becomes corrupted and does not work.

Order of night activities

As a general rule of thumb, here are the orders of night activities:

1. Night votes (the Elantris exploration vote)

2. Night actions (Korathi Priest, Jindo Warrior, Elantrian Veteran, Gyorn/Odiv, poison vials, etc)

3. Cultist kill, along with other deaths it may trigger (lovers, pirate, etc).

4. Gifting/inheriting of items

5. The Shaod.

Hey guys finally off work and can spend the time needed to post.

So here are my thoughts, I think yesterday went great except of the GM error (completely understandable and I think handled very well).  Without the error we would of gained a lot of very good information, but regardless I still believe that we gained some good information.  You can look at Wonko's great analysis to see some of the information, but I think the best information lies in the players reactions.  On average we learn little from the Day one lynch, but I don't think that is the case here.

That being said some people said my actions were suspicious so I will just outline it now.  I will be going after inactives and will take whatever chance I can to kill them.  If you don't want me voting for you then play the game.  If you are looking as to why I did what I did yesterday well that is the reason.

That being said Clanky can you read my fortune?

FYI everybody, I will not be active until tomorrow around 4 P.M. EST. Feel free not to lynch me for being inactive/being the gyorn.

Just think of how quicker that game would have gone if all of you followed Meta's accusation of me being a Pahn Kahl.  Now, Hero and I wouldn't do something like that when it has already happened, would we?   Of course we wouldn't, right?  Well, maybe...
