I don't know if I should upvote you for the skill required, or downvote you because you're really too fixated with this ... and I certainly have no ground on calling anyone nerd.

 

On the other hand, I'm doing a PhD in chemistry of nucleic acids, and until two weeks ago (when I started studying for an exam) I didn't even remember the structures of three of the four bases of DNA and was perfectly happy with it... while I suddenly felt a spike of alarm at realizing I didn't remember the name of the shardholder of cultivation, and went immediately to look it on the coppermind. Only to find out it is unknown yet.

(serious) Since Scadrial is an Earth-analgoue they would just use normal grain, same as on Earth.  Pretty much if Earth has it it's going to be on Scadrial as well (/serious)
