Yeah, I only get text options and nothing to attach a file, is there a command I can bracket the photo with to try it that way?

If you put your cursor (the little blinking thing you type from) in the spoiler box like you're going to type there then click the little plus in the bottom left corner of the image, it'll insert itself where the cursor is.
