Chaos. The fistfights had broken between Singers, and now two were dead. Narash had been surrounded, and beaten to death. O, one of the Singers, had broken out of the crowd, and taken off, sprinting. Two hours later, his body had been found in an alleyway. Eyes burned out, and a spren swirling around him.

Deltri inspected the corpses, both placed in the center of the square. Narash had been thought to be a Warform, but upon glancing at his body, was covered in spikes. A Direform. A form of the enemy.

Deltri glanced at the Singers packed into the small square. He smiled. "They're dead. We did it." As much as Deltri hated death, he felt a twinkling of hope, as that same Rhythm flitted in his words.

"But . . . there's more. I'm sure of it. And . . . O, he was killed by a Shardbearer."

The crowd stirred, many gasping. The Listeners among them remembered the Shattered Plains, when those accursed Blades has claimed so many of their kin.

"This is not over." Songs, he hated how pathetic his voice sounded. He was not meant to be a leader.

---

Bitel felt the storm in his blood, the wind flowing around his carapace, relishing in the chaos of the dusk breeze. It was his favorite time of day; oh, how he had missed this. Somehow, all the years of suffering made the bliss even sweeter.

It was the time of day when decisions were made. And tonight’s decision was a particularly important one. Down in the streets of Revolar - streets that looked like ant trails from Bitel’s elevated position - his Regals infiltrated the ranks of the resistors, slowly hacking away at them. The plan was set, and he had trust in those he had chosen. And so Bitel took the chance to float in the heavens, and feel the wind flowing.

His musings were cut short by screams. He looked down. The Singers were gathering. Tonight, they would kill one of their own. Yes, he decided, beginning to descend. He trusted those he had chosen - but this he would like to watch.

Narash had always wanted to be able to fly. Of course, he thought as the crowd backed him to the roof’s edge, this was never how he had expected to do it. Yet as the panic set in, his thoughts were still on the past. How had this happened? It was all going so well. The plan had been crafted to perfection, and even as the day waned, it flowed. Khenari had been supposed to die, not him. But now the crowd came close, and his feet tasted the bitter emptiness. He tried to plead with them.

“Odium has radiants too,” he said. “Just look at…” the name almost left his mouth, but he held himself back. He would not betray his own. “We’re all on the same side here.”

But they didn’t care. How could they? Sweat raced down his face. Carefully, he balled his fists. He was Direform. This was what he was built for. And yet, as Narash went down, he felt nothing but spite for the Fused who had promised him a new world.

He was beaten to death on the roof, and never did taste the sky.

O’s defining feature was his fear of a letter, but that was replaced by a far greater one when he saw his teammate dead before him. Everything was falling apart so soon, so quickly. Bitel had promised a life of glory; it seemed they would suffer death in shame.

Narash would, at least. O could still get away. And it was as he tried to get away, head still spinning with visions of a fallen friend, that he bumped into another Singer. Instinctively, he turned to apologize - he may have accepted the new world order, but he wasn’t a monster. Merely an opportunist. But the face that greeted him showed no such kindness - only a grim smile. It took a second for o to recognize the figure, and another for him to open his mouth to scream - yet both were too late as the gleaming blade tore through his soul, and the Regal radiant fell.

Yakat’s crime ring was doing well. At least he would like to think so. It was hard pretending to be a Singer, and it seemed the things he had learned from Herdaz weren’t as common here. Thankfully, no one seemed to be paying him any attention. No, all of that went to Narash. Yakat felt an ick as Narash was killed, but nothing too bad. Nothing mattered other than keeping o alive - and speaking of the budding radiant, where was he?

Yakat began to sift through the crowd, concern growing until finally seeing o - and then seeing his radiant’s eyes scorched out. Yakat released a scream - and fell into damnation.

When Bitel landed, the crowd had dispersed. Three were dead, but only two bodies were found. Two bodies, and the stench of failure. He had handpicked them, and yet they had fallen so quickly. Pathetic. And yet… Bitel thought, looking back where the crowd had gone.

Failure may reign, but not all hope was gone.

@Doc12

Any response since I can see you're online?

I mean, sure. That does discount you slightly, you were just one I was most inclined to vote on in that train.

I also want to look at Wahr, who removed themselves from voting after archer poked them and did not vote after that. Now that it's a new cycle I'm also willing to vote for them again.

there's a secret vote on Wahr

I think that may have been Drake, they were trying to convince me they were my spren in PMs and said they would put a secret vote oh Wahr. So that’s likely what that is.

Archer claimed Heroic to me in PMs (which was clearly false), so something was definitely up but we obviously will never know what since they are now gone. Did they claim anything to anyone else?
We would be told if a kill was blocked, right? The only thing I can think of with that is that the elims didn't know Drake was one of their spren and went after them, but they didn’t die from that, instead disappearing bc their radiant died?

Or they just decided not to kill this round for whatever reason.

Elims can either kill or convert, not do both. Since we have not had any evidence of a protected kill, we can just assume that a convert either went off or was attempted.

Given that Mistfallen was under danger, it'd make sense for them to get a convert in as well.

@Akimikoisthecutest, whom did you target to prevent their conversion?

Similarly, Mippo and TOW voted on Archer at the end of the day.

I disagree regarding mippo, I think their vote on Archer reads as quite abrupt and distance-y.

Lmao ok archer was doing p well looks like the shardbearer clocked it tho

the rules don’t say anything about restrictions on consecutively targeting the same person, so @Akimikoisthecutest can u share who u targeted last cycle so we know they couldn’t have been converted yesterday

I did not Vote again because of time zones rollover is about 3am for me, and After rescinding my vote on Stick, I was going to bed and After the things that happened that Cycle I didnt want to cast another vote.

So seeing that two of the Regals piled on Akimo, I would think that she is not a Regal, Archer who was a Regal, wanted the People to get away from Coco, so that could be an attempt at protecting a teammate, also with two of the Elims on one train, I am unsure if the other Elims were on the same train as Archer and Mistfallen, on the one Hand with two of the elims already out, it would put them in quite a predicament, but they wouldnt have know that two of them would die in C1, and I guess they could have tried to get another Singer killed.

Also the two Votes on Archer could contain a Regal, trying to stay out of the trains and with the Vote counts being relatively Sure they dont harm a fellow Regal.

The ones I trust the most in the moment are Akimiko (based on at least two Regals piling on her) and Jo (based on PM and him being the First to defend me)

For now I will go with TUM as well, very open to changing it later

Marne was reliefed, two of those meddeling Regals were Dead, one of them was o, he didnt like o for accusing him the other day, so Marne wasnt sad about that, what was worrying were his burned eyes, as far as he knew, those were a result of being killed by a shardplate, he didnt like that a shardbearer war running around and killing People, for now he got a Regal but what if there next victim was a Singer? He was concerned about a Potential third Party in this mess. He was Sure that there were Still more Regals around, so he would cast his vote on one of the Singers he didnt knew the Name of, this one just felt wrong to him, he couldnt say why, it was just his Gut feeling.

Good morning! I have to go to school, so I won't be as active today. Good we got two Regals! Sorry Akimiko for the overt suspicion.

I think Penguin is being too quiet. He hasn't contributed much, and I think he's trying to hide.

Okay, let me see. Akimo is looking pretty good here, because I don't think the elims would let that vote count get so high. I'm gonna leave my joke vote on Penguin, but I'll be back to change it when we get more information.

I followed Jo's advice and protected Archer. I realize that was a bad idea....

Wait, so you didn't make someone's vote +1 on Mistfallen's train?

No. I didn't. I thought that Doc was going to help me, and I was going to move my vote in the end. If doc didn't help me, then I would have added the extra vote to the train.

If Akimiko didn't use their secret vote, then who was the secret vote on Mistfallen?

Additionally, I received a role claim of another spren, which:

1. I feel unlikely because two spren seems like a lot of spren, esp in a game where if a radiant dies it takes out 2 players, as seen with drake.

2. If true, it does explain the third secret vote

3. Except I was wrong about the secret vote count because Akimiko just claimed they didn't use their secret vote, meaning if Akimiko is inspiring and didn't use their vote, there's a fourth secret voter.

So now, even with drake dead, we are still looking at either 3 people with secret votes, or akimiko might be lying about their role.

What do you all think about the likelihood of another spren ?

I want to say unlikely, but I've only played two SE games and both were with weird distros so idk

Did they claim any of the vote additions?

If I were elim, who would I pick to convert n1? the claimed inspiring singer is the “correct” choice, mechanically speaking. however the elims clearly tried to get akimo exe’d, so they are likely not converted

@Akimikoisthecutest i would advise u to self target today - maybe flip a coin between urself and one of ur top villa reads, but don’t announce ur target in the thread to keep the elims guessing🤗

regarding the extra votes: Drake obviously boosted archer’s vote, a Spren seems to have added a vote to the Mistfallen wagon (and if the player claiming spren to me in PMs is genuine then that’s probably them). Idk about that random Wahr vote but I guess that’s probably a third spren

and spren is not a villa-only role, it could easily be an elim that randed spren. If there’s three then one is elim for sure (from rand, not conversion)

I just received an interesting claim, we'll see where that goes.

There's a difference between Spren and Inspiring vote manip. Spren targets a player and votes on them anonymously (essentially adding +1 to their train), whereas Inspiring's action makes their target's vote double.

As such, the vote on Wage can only be from a Spren. Now, the question is - was it from Drake or from some other Spren?
