Hell yeah! This looks fun! Sign me up!

Name: Dahran

Rp:

Dahran looked up from his work, which was whittling a small fork. Far above, he saw streaks of blue Stormlight streaking toward the air. He spat. Them, those cursed Radiants were the reason the singers were in such a predicament. Trying to avoid the regals was getting harder and harder. Eventually they would be turned. He sighed and went back to whittling.

Dahran is a once-parshman singer who hates the radiants, and odium as well. He just wants peace, and to live an uneventful life.

If I may ask, why do you always pinch hit but not play?

I don't play mafia anymore but still want to support SE :)

Lowkey really like playing QFs because of the fast pace, sign me up as Taxil!

All the best GMing!

I just noticed this. I don't think I've played a game with TJ since the first one I played where he was GMing.

He was cruel 😠

Now it's time to see if I want to discriminate against Penguin or TJ more.

Spoiler

Just kidding it has to be Penguin.

Alright I'm joining this QF because I like Twin and Hoid and the ruleset looks fun. I will warn everyone that the QF cycle will be harder for me as I'll be working the weekdays and will probably only be really active in the evenings, though I might PM in the mornings. With that caveat aside, happy to be here! I'll be Nienna, an artform singer.

I am here as Jojoja (or Tow if the GMs hate fun).

Jojala stared out over the city of Revolar from the highest tower of Paladar's manor. She had cleaned this room many a time under Highlord Paladar, and now she was cataloguing its contents for the Fused. She had volunteered for the position in order to reach this very tower. Every time she'd been in it before, she'd never looked out the window. She'd been a slave, a Parshman, a servant of Paladar. But she'd had cousins who had been free, who had lived far to the east, in the exile of Narak.

Paladar's tower wasn't high enough to see Narak. It could only see Revolar. She wondered how tall the tower spoken of by Venli was. She said it dominated Narak, and that one could see the entirety of the plains from it's peak. Jojala wanted to see it.

But instead, she was here, in Revolar, serving Singers who cared little for their cousins, and Fused who cared little for the Singers. And too make it even worse, she was stuck with that kunukam Jojoja. She couldn't quite put into words why she hated Jojoja, but ever since the first time meeting him, she'd had the feeling that he was mocking her. She dearly hoped that he would meet the 'honorable' fate of becoming a Vessel of the Fused. That would be very nice to see.

@ThatOneWorldhopper, I'm voting you Day 1, unless you manage to make Jojoja an interesting RP character. (There is no actual malice here, I'm very amused, but I am going to vote you.)

I’m super new here but this seems fun, can I join?

Welcome! New players are always welcome in Sanderson Elimination. Have you already read the new player thread? If not, I recommend doing so as it will answer most any question you have, and if it doesn't feel free to ask us.

If the GM's don't let you join for some reason, I'll fight them.

Yep, I have!

It was very helpful, I’m sure I can figure stuff out here quickly.

Challenge accepted.

_______________

Jojoja didn't want to become a Regal.

That sounded cowardly. Everyone else did. But Jojojoja... Jojoja didn't want to die. Why was he so weak? Why couldn't he be like the others, those that were willing to sacrifice their lives for an "honorable cause."

It was an honorable cause. It had to be! Was that the root of his problem? He didn't think the cause was worthy enough.

Seditious thoughts.

Weak thoughts.

Nienna missed Narak more than anything. Once she had been proud of her chosen Artform. She sang her people's songs, the song of listing, of remembrance, of spren. Once she sang for her people so that they remembered their heritage, that they were warmed by hope of what was and what could be. Songs of celebration, of survival even as the human oppressors waged war across the Plains.

Then everything had gone wrong. Eshonai's sister brought Stormform to Narak, and with them summoned the Storm of their forsaken God.

And after that a terrible, jumbled mess as listeners were renamed singers, as those from Venli's faction became Regals, dominating all other forms, and her friends were taken away to become terrible Fused - demented monsters who wore her loved one's corpses.

And now the forced march to a wretched human city, where now gathered singers waited for when a Regal would take one of their number away for the 'great honor' of sacrificing themselves for the cause, to offer up their body for an ancient ancestor who knew, much less cared, little about the singers in the present. Now she lived and worked among hundreds of former dullform singers and a handful of singers from Narak, waiting for a Regal to show up at her doorstep.

And still they - the singers from Narak, the former slaves of the humans - still they looked to her for art, for song, seemingly uncomprehending that there was no song for a situation such as this. In the slow, sharp Rhythm of the Lost, she would have to compose a new song for her people. A song of the death of the Singers - not at the hands of humans or even Gods, but at the hands of their own.

Uh, I would be interested in spectating, just to get a feel for how the game works. Will probably practice roleplay communication as a spectator for no other reason that to improve character writing.

edit: after noticing the above RP text block, the Inkspren I got stuck with started pestering me into writing a character, so I’m establishing myself as Rahakel, an Elsecaller imprisoned by some hostile spren in Shadesmar, watching the intrigue to pass the boredom. Hopefully this isn’t completely impossible or pointless as a spectator.

Very, very excited to discover Sanderson themed Werewolf.
