People forgot V easily.

When he was born, his parents forgot to finish naming him. When he was a baby, they regularily forgot to feed him. He grew up to be small and scrawny. Fit underneath tables and underfoot. He tried to be out of sight as much as he could. He liked being forgotten. He liked being able to do what he wanted without oversight. He forgot his own parents soon afterward.

He wandered the world, forgetting most of what he saw, forgetting to age, forgetting where he was going. He didn't remember how he ended up on a caravan in a black land, and he didn't remember how he ended up in a storm ravaged war camp. He didn't remember how he arrived in this Tower.

He did remember Teejay, Penguin, and Var finding him. They would forget him, but then they would tap a metal bracelet they wore, and somehow remember him. Eventually, he stopped trying to make them forget him. They had big plans, plans that would provide him with a great home, a living tower, if he used his strange abilities to their advantage, they could make the Tower forget ever working for anyone but them. They could make the Tower their servant. They could give V a home where everyone would remember or forget him as he chose.

He didn't really see the point, to be honest, but they seemed to think it was important, and they were faster than him, so he decided to go along with it.

Except, now they were gone. Smushed or arrested. V was alone again.

Except, there were 4 people watching him. Alvron, Kalhavar, Elkath, and that Midius, who never seemed to forget him, no matter what. The others would, but then Midius would remind them. Kalhavar had taken to staring at him, writing notes on his own arms to remember, and digging tunnels to all his hiding places.

V didn't like the attention. Didn't like being remembered so thoroughly.

So V tried to forget them. He tried to make them forget him. He tried to make the tower forget itself. He tried lots of things, but he couldn't affect more than one person at a time. He couldn't do it fast enough. they kept reminding eachother.

So he tried a new tactic. People often said there was a god. Honor, or Passion, or Adonalsium, or the God Beyond, or Brandon Sanderson, or the One. That was only one person. If he made god forget him, would that make everyone forget him?

He focused,

He forgot,

And the universe forgot him.

All of Kasimir's votes have been forgotten!

Lord Spirit was Executed! He was the last Enemy!

The game is over, with 3 Citizen left standing! The Village has won!

For now, here is the Eliminator Document, and the Spectator Document.

I nearly counter-hammered TOW.

I had pre-written TUN and TOW votes ready to c/p. 😔

Thanks for GMing @A Jo in the Bush! It was fun, TUN and I finally got our Village bro arc breaking our brains over the PtV combinations.

How this became more complex than KKC, IDK.

There was a little bit there, before Worldhopper voted, where you were the last man standing.

Out of curiosity, what would have happened if it ended in a four way tie? Would we all lose?

Araris and I determined that, rules as written, and flavor-wise, that would have been a Village Victory. The villagers win once the Elims are all dead, and the Elims win once the Village can't win.

Congrats y’all! That was a really close game. There were several instances where I was sure we were screwed way earlier and several where I was sure we were destined to win. I’m really proud of my team here, even if we didn’t win. The fact we managed to get it down to just three villagers left without a night kill is impressive in its own right. Thanks to Jo for GMing my first game back! It was a lot of fun.

Shoutout to:

@|TJ| and @StrikerEZ for being 2/3 of the Triple Bros combination Polly wanted, sorry not sorry, and for apparently turning heel while I'm doing my babyface run 😔

@The Unknown Order for our long overdue Village bro arc and trying to compute the PtVs in E!TOW and E!Spirit worlds until we couldn't think anymore :P

@Lord Spirit I think we seem destined to be on opposite sides a lot, but watching your Elim game develop has been impressive and I think we'll both feel excited when the day comes when E!you just dogwalks V!me.

@BigBadBagsworth for being the one who kept the thread running :P

@IcedOutPenguin Good job for a first game!

@KelsierApologist 2 Elims in one shot in your first sentence wtf :P

@ThatOneWorldhopper Congrats on surviving, and thank you for making sure Spirit died with us!

@Aeternum Thank you I was mad sheeping your Triple B and TOW reads even when I wasn't trusting myself on them.

Thanks to Aster, Null, Tinwatcher, and everyone else for playing; sorry we D1ed you, KSauce! TJ would definitely have been a better vote though my Pollyvot was not much better :(

Edited to add:

Incidentally, I sent this to TJ in our PM at around C7 or so after he was dead.

I have struck a new record in the number of villagers sussed or outright killed, but thank you @A Jo in the Bush for Kalhavar being the chairshot guy, I'm making that my thing now just as Jo used to rock defenestration >:P

Oh thank goodness

I was at Jiu-jitsu practice and having evil dreams of a double village flip and Kas cackling maniacally in the background.

Good job elims, that massacre tie was a thing of beauty.

Thanks @A Jo in the Bush for making this hellish game. It inspired a high vote manip game idea that I'm looking forward to.

@ThatOneWorldhopper I am so glad you weren't elim because if you were, we would have lost and it would have been my fault.

@Kasimir Amazing bro arc, even if you did refuse to believe me when I correctly identified every elim ever.

Maybe I can be a competent villager...

Nah

I got Spirit for you, that's gotta count for something right? :P

Ngl I continued to worry you were Elim but accepted I'd more or less functionally committed to V!you regardless. But just in case, one of the reasons I asked if you could show your working...

Edited to add:

Dude why'd it have been your fault if we lost to E!TOW?

My initial calc to both vote Spirit. I never redid it but I think with the Striker vote splitting our votes might have been better.

Reading the elim doc, and only just now realized Striker was making accurate and detailed vcs for the elim doc and just happened to post them for us too.

Fair. Sorry, I'd've doublechecked but I was way too out of it that day.

Lmao. Penguin Night Massacre 😂

The best part is, we let them get a Round 2 because we both forgot that they could only Soothe or Mercy, not both.

WEEEEEE WON (said wth the most respect for the elims possible)

seriously, that was an awesome first game for me, with incredible plays on both sides.

What's the next one gonna be?

That's a question for @Araris Valerian

Fair warning, it's going to be a very different sort of game.

@A Jo in the Bush, I definitely think this game would have done better as an MR. 24 hour cycles were killing me.

One thing I am doing in this game, and honestly might even do in later, more Complicated games, is compiling the Eliminator PM’s. I’m only sending out one Eliminator PM, with all the Elims in it. That way, there’s only one place to check for Elim actions, and they can all be assured that someone has sent in the action for the cycle. I’ll also have to PM them separately if they die, but that’s easier to do than making a whole bunch of PM’s all at once on day 1.

Very cool idea. Not sure how great it would work with roles, but definitely good for low action games.

Didn’t SE stop using the word lynch, or am I misremembering something?

We did, but Lylo's catchy, and those darned MU players keep coming over with their youngin' slang, for real for real.

Have we had a Princess Bride game yet?

I think it would be fun to borrow the battle of wits as a duel mechanic. One player chooses the poison, the other player can investigate in all sorts of ways, but in the end it never strays far from a 50/50

Araris is running an RP-only LG with our most basic ruleset (which is not all vanilla, it has Mistings and Mistborn.) It should probably be up soon but if you want, we can ping you as soon as it goes up! @Araris Valerian

I reached out to TUO about it and kind of got stonewalled

Yeah, sorry. I don't like PMs. It was enough of a struggle keeping up with Kas. I probably would have talked to you more if we had started earlier, but I was Tunnel visioned at that point.

I am very sad I didn't get to role-playing this time, though. 😭
