“I’m Ver. These,” he gestured to Réva and Elan (and Lati, although she wasn’t quite visible), “are my friends. We’re looking for help; powerful help. Maybe we can work together, Ctholis.”

Oxy was indeed among Ver’s friends; he was just standing a little further away.

He shrugged. “An outdated one. I can herd the Plague. Cure it, inflict it, all that.”

The one Of had said had “no limits”? The one that posed a threat to OMNIPOTENT immune systems? The one Of had associated with a LITERAL GOD OF DEATH? THAT Plague?
