"Uh-huh . . ."

Lati didn't really see what the issue was.

“What I mean is… you were born knowing certain stuff. Most mortals aren’t. Almost as if you’re memory was wiped, and only ingrained knowledge remained.”

Either that, or you were programmed like me…

Ver couldn’t smile, but he felt a surge of happiness wash over him watching her. Almost like… pride. He turned back to Kelyx.

”May we see Jidah?”

"I do have memories!" she protested.

"I remember meeting you guys! And I remember stealing Owen's sword, and his apple, and . . . and the fox-guy, and other things!"

3 minutes ago, Hoid Slayer said:

“Yes… but you could speak before that. And I don’t think you are like me, despite our shared blank pasts.”

Kelyx listened interestedly before leading them to one of the huts, where he knocked politely.

A woman answered and gladly let them in. She directed them down the tiny hall to a closed door.

“Oh— power. Basically. Based on how the stars align.”

The Star accepted this explanation and returned Latent.

Latent didn't even seem to notice. She seemed as if she had just unpaused.

Lati stayed with Rèva as she walked.

"Oo . . ."

Lati watched them with interest.

"So many people . . ." she whispered.

"Jidah!?"

She smiled at her.

What were you doing?

Daryglade grinned, did a flip, and swam off in the air towards the village.

Kelyx tilted his head. “She’s acting weird. More… Daryglade than usual.”

“Sure was,” Kelyx said cheerfully.

He stood alone in a huge black room. The ground curved slightly under his feet, and stars were visible above. A woman stood nearby, glowing white and rippling.

You may join them by giving up your power for a time. We will keep it here until you elect to depart.

Wait, so is Sigismund the only one who didn't go to the pocket dimension?

No. All of the others already talked to the Star and made their bargains. They keep tight security over the pocket dimension. He's the only one not there right now, but that's it.

1 hour ago, Through The Living Glass said:

"Okay . . ."

She yawned.

"So . . . when are we going to find Jidah?"

@Bird Furious

The woman knocked on the door.

"Come in," Jidah called. The woman opened the door to reveal a simple guest room with simpler furniture. Jidah lay sprawled on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. She glanced their way, then did a double take and sat up.

"Wh- what the heck are you guys doing here?"

"JIDAH!"

She curled around Jidah's arm excitedly.

"JIDAH, LOOK! I CAN TOUCH THINGS NOW! SEE?"

Jidah still felt ashamed. She still felt angry.

But that made her feel a little light.

She smiled. "Lati, that's amazing."

"Hello," Oxy said, "Latent has something to tell you." He looks at Latent intensely.

Latent sighs, "I-I-... I am sorry. I am very sorry for any possible pain I could have caused you."
