Power shmower. Don’t make me call Of or Spirit over here.

The Star tilted her head at him. She looked almost amused.

Ver began to object, then hesitated and thought. These people seemed like the good guys. Maybe they were worth working with.

“Good luck accessing them. I didn’t even know I HAD modes until recently. O assume they are written into my code… perhaps they can be temporarily blocked somehow, but I would be afraid of how that could interfere with some of my other functions.”

Ver made a conscious choice to ignore that for now.

Wrath!

You need not apologize for your friend. You will see no penalties for his behavior.

"Oh! We are... Here now." Oxy says.

"Yeah yeah yeah. Whatever." Latent says

"LATENT! Now IS NOT the time to be sasy" Oxy replies

"FIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE." Latent says.

"I hold no ill will against you. I can promise on my power I will not do anything to harm this world, or use any extreme incarnation of my abilities here. And I can promise that Latent can do the same" Oxy says, looking at Latent. They have more power than us here. They could strip our powers. That is THE LAST THING you want. I trust you remember... Lawful?

YES OF COURSE I REMEMBER LAWFUL! who... wouldn't remember that. it was when we were weak. WE CAN TAKE THEM! Latent tranmitted

NO WE CAN'T! THIS IS THEIR WORLD! While in the future they might loose their grip on it, for now... they have ALL the power here.

FIIIIIIIIINE. Latent said, "I promise on my power I will not do anything to harm this world, or use any extreme incarnation of my abilities here." with a sarcastic tone. The other people feel a small wave of power wash off of the Primals. This is a promise tied with power aincient.

That won’t be enough, I’m afraid. I’ll have to take your power and store it elsewhere— though if you like, I can leave a line back up here, where you could retrieve your powers and depart upon a whim. she hesitated. I have a request as well. Based on the nature of our demands, I will understand your denial, but we would appreciate a tiny sliver of your power in order to keep up the Pocket.

Oxy looks taken aback. "I thought... Oh. I guess you didn't. While our power is deeply unstable, I am afraid to say, we are made out of our power. We need to constantly use our power (keep it moving in us) to stay alive. Otherwise... Lets just say, its not pretty. There have been a few space time warpings that have come as a result. The best we can do is make and Invested Promise that we will take no extreme actions while here. In fact we have already done that. And my friend here" He points to Latent "Does not like doing this often, and while I know you can overpower her, she does not believe that. And I dearly wish for her safety."

The Star paused and drifted closer. Ah… I see your point. But with a little time, I’m sure we could find a donor willing to stabilize you during your visit, after we strip most of your power.

You need not fear for her safety. We would not fight her, should she resist— merely expel her from the Pocket back to wherever she came from. I’m sure you’ve felt the muting effect of this room— she would be unable to return without a guide with native power.

Now that the Star mentioned it, they could feel a muting effect. As if the air waited to swallow any energy expelled.

Wrath grinned. Penalty is a strong word.

He pushed his presence into her mind, observing for weakness as he fed off of her emotion.

He pulled strength and power from the environment around him, fueling further intrusion.

He didn’t, though, because the environment had no give. Her mind was also impenetrable.

Try that again, and you’ll face immediate expulsion.

Mmmmmm… WORTH.

He actually pulled strength from emotion, heat, cold, and wind.

He latched himself to her mind, pulling on it and forcing immense nausea against it.

Unfortunately, her emotions didnt seem to be manifesting. The room he no wind, nor strange temperatures, and she repelled his attack easily.

With a sudden jolt, he was no longer in the room. He’d returned to the Rift, and would be unable to return to Custom without a native guide.

Ver jumped at the display of power, then jumped again. Wow. It seemed that in a controlled environment, such as this, these people were even more powerful than he had expected. It made sense now why the Cloud liked to keep other highly advanced civilizations a secret. It didn’t want its agents knowing it had competition.

"You do not understand. Our coincuosness and body are so deeply intrenched with the power, because it is what is keeping us alive. The power to destroy the universe is what we used to save ourselves from that same destruction. Without it, we will be pushed back to our original time, and be vaporized by the power we used to have. So unless you can travel the time stream, which I can guarantee you cant, we either keep our power, or die. You can trust an Invested Promise. No gods can escape their bounds. We give up our power if we break it. And we do not want that."

Can they not be able to time travel? I like that being a Primal exclusive.

Primal and Sigismund, but Sigismund can only travel forward in time.

Well, I was talking specifically about backwards. Thats the only way to stabilize them without their powers. Even then... Things just get REALLY tricky. Once, a Primal died. Most people call that the Big Big Bang

Apologies. I didn’t mean to startle you. Have we a deal? Preferably with a donation attached?

She considered this a long time. I’m afraid we cannot let you enter within those limits, strong as they may be. A strict balance is necessary to-

Another Star appeared, as if boiling into reality. He held his hands clasped behind his back. We may stand to reap benefits from their visit.

They both went quiet for a few seconds, communing privately. Then the second Star vanished and the first spoke again. I will allow you through on two conditions additional to your promises. One, you will make a donation of energy to our domain. Any size will do— though of course we would prefer it to be sizeable. Two, you will help to retrieve Judah’s divinity and bring it back to us after you leave the Pocket.

Oh and yeah no time travel. That just complicates stuff in my opinion so I prefer not to use it outright in roleplays.

Remind me, what exactly is our deal?

Your external supernatural abilities will be suspended and kept here until you return, she reminded him. They will be available upon demand when you return here on your way out of the Pocket. We promise you no harm and no deprivement of your abilities— though we would appreciate a donation.

As soon as he disappeared, Of took his place.

Of held his power, in the form of a crown, out to Star. “I’ll expect it back. Understand there is more to my power that is more… difficult… to relinquish. It will not be causing chaos, though. I can promise you.”

What do you mean by difficult to relinquish? She asked, making no move to take the crown. We can separate it from your physical being, stabilizing you if necessary.

This is acceptable. I will warn you, however. The Slumber is not… it is not like the rest of the power SoW bestows upon his aspects. I am not even sure it is of him. Just make sure that you are not tainted by it’s touch.

Yes.

She pulled out a ghostly looking box with a lift-off lid. She reached out and pulled something from his chest--- a colored thread that turned white in her hand. She coiled this into a neat little tangle of glowing energy and placed it into the box. The lid sealed on with a clack and the Star gently set it into the air. The shelf it was on was visible for only a moment, and three other boxes were on it, all much smaller than his.

Excellent. You're cleared to go down, once your friends are ready.

The thread was not colored, and it did not turn white. It was a shadow, a void.

In fact, it did not even glow.

Spoiler

So, this power is kinda the opposite of power - it’s essentially ultra-Nullite.
