Seamus looked around the storm, glad Juno had risen again. He would need her soon. "Well what's the plan then?"

She gabbed her thumb in the direction of the local.

"Transport's coming, we're gonna go with him if you can to come."

Dayla watched it curiously. “Huh,” she murmured. “It looks so…professional.” She glanced at the man, fiddling with an object on her collar until she was speaking in his language. “Are you a noble?”

"What? No! Gugs doesn't have nobles."

The phoenix squawked indignantly.

She tried to hold her in to warm her, but then she flopped out.

The ashes began to quiver, and began to float towards each other, forming the shape of a magnificent hawk. Suddenly, the ash became skin and feather, and Juno flew away from there, magnificent in her plumage.

She watched and put the coat back on.

She seemed to be appreciative of that.

He nodded. "She'll follow if I go. And I bloody intend to."

Dayla started. "No...is everyone very poor, then?"

"In a society with nobles, more are poor than those that aren't. They abuse commerce."

"Oh." Dayla frowned, looking deeply troubled.

For context she doesn't look rich at all, she looks kind of like the steampunk stereotype.

Just now, Ancient Elantrian said:

"What started this?"

"Uh." Dayla swallowed. "I guess you could say I'm running away," she mumbled.

She blinked, shocked. "You... are?"

"You said you were running," she said. "Might I ask from what?"

Dayla swallowed, feeling It awaken in her mind, holding her tongue and trying to keep her from speaking. Somewhere behind it, though, she felt steel. She was not going to give in. "Family."

She nodded. "Then that's something we have in common."

She noted her discomfort. "I won't ask you to talk about it if you're not comfortable. But if you ever need someone to talk to, you can come to me."

Dayla smiled, but her eyes stayed sad. "I always wanted an older sister," she said, more to herself than Aventine.

She wasn't sure whether it was to her or not, so she waited for Dayla to do or say anything indicating who she was talking to.

But it brought back that memory...-

No. She didn't need to go back to that headspace now.

"Of course not. We just care for each other."

With that, a wall of rushing of wind hits them, the man staggering a step back. The transport comes to an abrupt stop, hovering around 20 feet above their head. At closer inspection, the orb also apears to be full of lighting, crackling in the same way as the transponder the man used earlier.

She looked up, in awe of the technology.
