He winced, testing his foot. "Anybody got a stick?"

Litika didn't have a stick, but she did wave to him from a short distance away.

"I think I found your bird!" she yelled.

She grimaced and looked at his leg.

"Oh- be careful!" she said, but pointed to a specific patch of snow she'd already started digging out with her hands.

Some sort of feathers stuck out of the snow, so she continued digging.

He looked down curiously. "Oi, Juno! You there?"

The feathers quivered.

“Right,” Dayla said. “What sort of world are you from?”

@Argenti

In the distance a large black dot appears, racing just above the snow towards them.

"Hei'Ma Fes'Tra Ve'Sra." The man says pointing towards the dot

Looks like the Transporter is almost here.

Litika hurried and dug the bird out, handing him to Seamus without much thought, and headed over to the man.

"Would you look at that!"

It keeps getting bigger, and as it approaches you can begin to make out some details. It's crescent of some sort, with a massive orb floating in the center, which apears to be glowing. The light from the sphere sparkles off the silvery metal.

"Well, that's cool-looking."

"I know your leg's hurt, but your arms are fine, so you might want to start digging," Litika said as she shoveled more snow out of the hole.

He shoveled snow, revealing a shivering bedraggled bird with gold and red plumage. "Juno!" he cried, sweeping out the squawking bird.

She saw this and went back over. “Do you want to wrap her in my coat?”

"Yeah. She's a phoenix, so she'll survive, maybe get reborn. But, right now..." he handed her Juno.

Dayla watched it curiously. “Huh,” she murmured. “It looks so…professional.” She glanced at the man, fiddling with an object on her collar until she was speaking in his language. “Are you a noble?”

Litika attempted to pat its head.

"You always manage to avoid it, don't you . . ." she said quietly.

Juno tried to escape the shirt, trying to flap its wings.

She stepped back and watched it curiously.

It flapped out, and gave a magnificent cry and burning up, ashes falling to the ground.

"Finally." Seamus muttered. "Took it long enough."

Litika crouched down and watched the ashes curiously.

The ashes began to quiver, and began to float towards each other, forming the shape of a magnificent hawk. Suddenly, the ash became skin and feather, and Juno flew away from there, magnificent in her plumage.

Litika watched with wide eyes.

"I've never seen anything like that before . . ."

"Beautiful, ain't it? She'll be gone for a bit though, adjusting." he said, as Juno flew into the snow, leaving a trail of flames in her wake.

Litika wondered how in the world she caught the snow on fire, but nodded.

Seamus looked around the storm, glad Juno had risen again. He would need her soon. "Well what's the plan then?"
