The ground in front of me bursts upward, blocking the coins from hitting me. I load Clone into a ridiculously oversized cannon and wave goodbye as they are launched into orbit.

Clone taps cadmium and gold to keep him alive. Trout and I burn duralumin-steel to join him. Trout, after moving some distance away from us, burns bendalloy-duralumin to reach his God Emperor of Dune form.

However, those bands were fakes, and I use Fragment’s FotOD to permanently bind the real bands of mourning to Fragment’s soul.

That never happened

I had the one copy from the beginning, which I gave to Clone when I named him, a long time after the time travel stuff. No one had sought them out earlier because the extra Honorblades and Nightbloods were more powerful, all of which have since been destroyed except the 19 Honorblades that I hold and 1 that Sandy holds.

From what I can understand, you are saying that it didn't happen because you gave your clone one of the copies? How would that stop me?

I compound nicrosil and pewter. I throw a coin away from the Fragment with immense force, because F = ma, and also conservation of momentum means I and now hurtling towards the fragment.

Using 4 Honorblades (2 Windrunner and 2 Skybreaker) and Investiture coming directly from the Spiritual Realm, I use the Surge of Gravitation to create a gravity well where the Fragment is. I collapse it into a singularity, creating a black hole that I throw some unsealed metalminds into to give it Investitiure. The event horizon transcends the 3 Realms and any other Realms beyond.

The Fragment is trapped in the Maw, and Bands of Mourning destroyed, all the Investiture in them now belongs to the black hole.

Finally, some good fun pushback :3

However, Fragment 1 perseveres, and the power of his KDF retains his consciousness. With immense power, he pushes back on the will of the black hole, and bringing the stories of the bands of mourning to the forfront. The black hole, complete with all the investiture and more of the bands of mourning, and story enhanced, transforms into a Modified Black Hole Story Enhanced Bands of Mourning, saving Fragment 1 and the bands, and Fragment runs off with it.
