Lord Gregorio he/him Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 (edited) Howdy y'all. Not a bass player. I play the violin. (Don't everyone groan at once.) Nah. I quit orchestra in eighth grade and I've kinda taught myself how to play the piano. I don't really play the guitar but I have an electric guitar and I'm trying to learn. I have a harmonica too. I love nearly every kind of music and my spotify genres are a mess. I listen to pretty much everything but hard rock and metal and stuff. Edited January 21, 2023 by Gregorio

That1Cellist he/him Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 (edited) Yeah, here's something I have to play for cello. Like seriously, come on Mr. Composer guy. Spoiler The clefs. I mean. Really? Also, apologies, that isn't a physical copy. It looks weird because I brought the image over from the internet. Edited January 31, 2023 by That1Cellist
InfiniteInsanity she/her Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Spoiler What about this? From current music I am playing.

The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 We have a piece that kind of does that between 5/8 2/4 then 9/8 I think? But the pattern isn't completely constant so each measure is a different time signature.

It seems more efficient to write it in 5/4 and have a note at the beginning notating the subdivisions lol But that is really interesting 7/8 and 11/8 are really fun to play in
Telrao she/her Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 *sees this conversation* *pure terror ensues* I thought that 6/8 was a little confusing. Gee wow 0w0
Cash67 Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Anything that is not 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 3/8, 6/8 scares the living daylights out of me… 1
Lord Gregorio he/him Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Oh gosh. I'm not too good at anything but 2/4 4/4 or 3/4. Honestly, all that I can think of are the ones Cash67 put. 1

Wittles he/him Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 I can do pretty much any time as long as its a multiple of 2. other than like 3/4

I've tried playing The Dancing and the Dreaming from How To Train Your Dragon 2 on my piccolo. It's pretty fun (tho I was playing it by ear and not sheet music so it was flbldygook)
Lego Mistborn he/him Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Guys, you realize it's not hard to play with weird time sigs. The biggest issue is counting rests. Otherwise you just count the notes on the page and it's easy. Tubist out.
