It has a rhythm all it's own. That's fascinating..." He walked over. "How much are you asking for it?" "We're not asking for money," the man began, then hesitated. "Well. Money would be nice. The Wandering Wizard he/him Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Annamus wanders back towards his campsite and groans. I really should switch armor, I've been a turtle for what?...Three weeks now? Yeah that's about right. Perhaps something like a cat this time. Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea, but where to find a dead cat? You could always kill a human's cat. NO, I will not. Annamus casts back his memory to the last time he had entered the village. The enroaching forest border on the edge of the town would work. Just need to avoid being seen, don't want to be running for a week again. Annamus curls up and retracts into his armor shell to rest for a few hours.

Terakor shot a glance back as the three rode off, letting out a sigh of relief. "That was close," he replied. "That was a disaster is what it was," growled Anikel. Terakor blinked, shocked by the man's ferocity. "Why? Nobody got hurt." "We need that metal," Anikel replied. "We don't have time to deal with a spark-cursed forest guardian." He sighed. This isn't working, he thought to himself, rubbing his aching legs. He needed to try something different. Cautiously, he pushed off the ground, rising into the air, then dropped. As he landed, he projected his shield, landing without making a sound- and without crashing. Feeling more confident, he practiced again from a higher altitude, then again a couple more times to reassure himself. Then he launched himself up over the top of the trees.

As they crouched behind the cargo boxes she sorted out facts while the other two talked. The older woman was Whist. Whist was nice, she had helped bandage Fiadh's leg and had given her food. Whist also had given her a hug. And then she had defended the other girl. The other girl seemed nice too, but Fiadh wasn't entirely sure about her. And then Whist had knocked out the lady who was definitely not nice. And now they were in an alleyway crouched behind boxes. Fiadh sighed and then sat on the ground. Crouching kind of hurt. She looked at Whist, waiting to see what happened. Maybe it would help things make sense. While Whist waited for the girl to answer, she couldn't help but notice Fiadh's confusion. At his point that was reasonable though. The killing blow had dwarfed the short man's first attack; while the first attack had been the strike of a sword this was the force of an army. So Quest didn't fell too bad when he crumpled to the ground, blown backwards from the shockwave. He wasn't too happy about the bunny blood that landed on him though. Quest slowly got to his feet, amazed at the damage that had just happened. The forest around them was absolutely destroyed, ravaged by the battle. "This is the power I need, this is where I will get too." Quest thought. He had made that promise long ago but it burned inside him know, reminding him of his quest.
