-_-I don't know. I have a slight elim gut from this post. I agree, a double lynch is not wanted, but do we really need to kill one of the most active players day 1, especially if you have no reasoning? Couldn't we choose someone else?

Someone else would be preferable, but I don't want to leave the possibility of a double lynch by an elim switching votes. I am open to other suggestions, though.

(also, it took me way too long to realize XP was referring to you, I thought it was just an example player like "If player X votes Y and player Y votes X, they both die")

Okay,

So, Hey guys. Remember when I said that:
"I want to see a lot of people die" ?
I take it back. I- I take it back now.
Lots of people dying won't be good. no.

Opinion flip 1. I'd be willing to let it go if you changed your mind once but..

No. I refuse. this is Elimmy. no.
I will make sure that this never happens.

Honestly, reading XP vil for this.

Why, if saying that this is elimmy are you reading XP villager?

15 hours ago, Illwei said:

Yes, Exactly. as I said before. the elims can vote on eachother, then take it back last minute (elim instant win, maybe one even moves to XP)

EDIT:

no, wait

wait...

Yes let's do it

lettuce do it

lettuce try

And you changed your mind again. I'd be willing to excuse you if you flipped once but I don't like how many times you changed your mind. Illwei

Meh. I don't have much, and I'll I've done is push for the kill all thing, so I understand. I do know that that probably won't work, and I'll try to be more helpful. Not quite sure if this is a poke. I don't think it is, but if it is consider me thoroughly poked.

No, it wasn't a poke. But I don't think it was from your push, either. At least not consciously.

Alright, so here are my thoughts so far:

Matrim: Not much either way. Was on the Illwei train but backed off when Illwei explained.

Condensation: Was the first to call out Illwei, but otherwise seems fine, and that callout was deserved, with no vote attached.

Somebody: Was the first one to vote for Illwei and was the most persistent at wanting Illwei to explain themselves (though, again, this is somewhat justified). Also this reads mild elim to me, not sure why:

Illwei: Had an unexplained vote at the start and took multiple posts to explain it. Also went back and forth on XP's "vote for everyone but me" idea in its various form. Mild Elim read.

Gears: Gut read mild Elim, but no real reasoning other than I mildly disagree with some of his analysis.

XP: Their idea for tie voting would not work out, but I don't think that makes them an elim. I'm actually reading them more toward village.

Turtle, King's_Way, Lotus, Alvron, and Reading: No opinion. Not enough to go on.

I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to post again this round, so I'm going to vote Somebody for now, and maybe change later if I have time.

Hmm, interesting. I agree his change to XP was sort of strange, and maybe has me worried a bit about the train. If XP ends up flipping village I might look more at Somebody even if he is a new player.

1 hour ago, JesterLavorre said:

Oh, OK. I might change my vote, then. Most of what I found sus could just be new-player syndrome.

Somebody

Ok. They honestly feel like a new village then. Don't know though. No I got nothing. Somebody (or anyone) want to PM me?

I don't have any substantial suspicions, so for me it's either Somebody or Experience, to prevent a double lynch D1. I will give in to the all powerful now-player pity

The fact that all three of you switched to Somebody and then switched off Somebody within like an hour almost gives me the feel that it was orchestrated, at least part way. Maybe that's just from it all happening while I was asleep, but it still seems too simultaneous. Even if he is a new player.

And this... I do agree the amount of flipping is strange, but I don't like this vote. I'd almost say changing your mind a lot is a village thing, because elims are more inclined to stick to one thing and go for it because a flipping and flopping choice pattern looks sort of suspicious so they want to avoid that.

The second point there about Illwei's read on XP is a good one, though.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Kings' most recent switch sets off some alarm bells too, in accordance with his involvement in the short Somebody train.

The amount of times Illwei flipped on and off the "let's kill everyone" idea was weird. (especially given how easily that proposal could have backfired.) It made me feel like there was something going on that I don't know about and also, though I have not played many games with him this seems really out of character. Also that read on XP just set off alarm bells.

Eh, I'd say it's probably more in character for Illwei than not, even... The flip-flopping I mean, not the XP read. I agree that is kinda a stark contradiction.

I'll second the request for a vote count, @Elkanah ;)

Shard ate my post...

Alvron

For claiming roles can be indicative of alignment. I absolutely disagree, because I’ve been mis-lynched by elims using this argument many times.

Illwei is the next best lynch option in my opinion. Due mainly to there suspicious flipping on their opinion of Experiences proposition.

EDIT: Also, @Alvron, pretty sure we’ve played a game together before.

Oh wow that's a lot more spread out than I thought... that's dangerous.

(Imagine if I switched off Experience right before rollover xD I wonder how many elims we'd hit)

(Yes I know it's not worth it. No I'm not gonna do that.)

I'll be active for probably twelve more minutes, vanish for another twelve, and be here for the end.

[OOC: More players need to have RP names. When I play through RP, using actual names is weird.]

The general populace is incredibly talkative. To aid determining people's sides, I shall analyse every statement ever spoken. Sidenote, it is truly surprising exactly how much discussion is fluff and nonsense. In addition, I would like to dispute the value of a poke vote [defined as putting a vote on someone who has not yet spoken and retracting it when they speak]. People say it incentivises discussion, but if someone is truly asleep, they won't speak no matter how many poke votes are laid against them. In addition, it is considered poor form to kill a sleeping person, so a poke vote will never lead to a lynch. All it does is fill up the minutes. X: I poke Y! Y: I exist! X: I retract Y! 3 statements that do nothing.

1 Dark: Skill analysis. I will admit, some of this analysis may be invalid, as I continually assume that everyone thinks as I do. This is a poor habit of mine that I shall attempt to rectify, should I survive this encounter.

2 Turtle: Pokes Kriti.

3 Illwei: Thought the meeting began later.

4 Rinala: Quite busy.

14 Connie: New. Exists

15 Illwei: Newbie poking done by newbie. Make vote easily visible. Confused by time.

16 Reading: Okay.

17 Turtle: It began early.

18 Daziron: Leave the newbies alone.

19 Illwei: Newness is in the eye of the beholder.

20 Glorious Leader: Time is confusing.

30 Turtle: Pokes Reading (Do they know how poke votes work?)

31 Somebody: How many Diagrammists are there? (For reference, a standard number is between 20-25%.)

94 Rinala: Siblings?

95 Illwei: Glorious Leader, if everyone dies, who wins?

96 Connie: Jokes.

97 Glorious Leader: Diagrammists would win.

98 Illwei: But why not the Ghostbloods?

99 Rinala: Family... What a concept.

100 Daziron: Illwei, explain yourself.

101 Illwei: Had family.

116 Connie: No.

117 Illwei: Lots of votes.

118 Daziron: Retracts Illwei for explaining.

119 Experience: If everyone dies but a known Ghostblood, they will win!

120 Connie: Didn't vote Illwei.

121 Illwei: Confusion.

122 Connie: Explains.

123 Experience: How to confirm village...

124 Illwei: Jokingly suggests things. Awful idea.

132 Illwei: No. Bad. Stop. Experience = vil for being so stupid.

133 Connie: No. Bad. Stop.

134 Illwei; No. Bad. Stop. Actually, sure. Go. KILL!

135 Experience: Would be amazing. KILL!

136 Connie: Getting help from spies.

137 Illwei: Connie, don't depend on them.

174 Reading: Seems strange.

175 Vilt: Votes Alvron for thinking roles == alignment.

176 Banana: Votes Illwei.

177 Reading: Mishears Vilt.

178 Vilt: Informs.

179 Reading: Acknowledges.

180 Glorious Leader: Vote count.

181 Daziron: Very spread out. Death? No.

Conclusion: I would hope Experience and Illwei would be better Diagrammists than this, but as of now, their bloodthirst and Illwei's constant hesitation ping alarm bells. The train on and subsequently off of Somebody is also alarming. I am tempted to vote Illwei just to kill both of them, but for now, I will vote Experience, because I suspect both of them are Ghostbloods.

Since I think they are both Ghostbloods, I choose to put Experience further in the lead to prevent a tie and thus deaths of many Ghostbloods. If an adequate suspicion reveals itself in the next few minutes, I would be more than happy to consider a transfer.

Hour 2 Accusations

Quick Fix 48

"A suicide pact? Really?" The ghostblood looked like he couldn't believe what he had just heard. "Get over here! What's your name kid?"

Experience thought about it for a second and said "Well, I was hoping to come up with a newer better name once I got into the ghostbloods."

"It was a clever idea to get yourself to be the sole survivor, but it seems you lacked the persuasiveness to make it happen. What do you all think? Ghostblood or Diagrammist?"

The assembled group didn't reply at first. Finally a few said "diagrammist." The ghostblood nodded, swiftly chopping the back of Experience's neck. He collapsed to the ground lifeless.

"The answer was neither."

Faleast felt a twinge of pain in his back. Then it twisted quickly doing what usually would have been irreparable damage.

"Ah right. I've been killed." he thought. He'd hoped to stick around for a bit and learn more from the ghostbloods, but he'd died before and he'd need to make this look good or they'd resort to methods that could actually hurt him.

Faleast fell to the ground allowing blood to drain from the wound. Hoping it wouldn't take too long for the ghostbloods to finish up or cart him away.

@Elkanah, can you put the vote count in the OP?

When that happens, I'm going to look at the later XP voters. And Somebody from Sel. Connie abstaining from voting could be a point in her favor, though it also could just be a way to dodge any reads from a vote.

Ashbringer is an interesting choice for a kill, I'd guess the elims probably just thought it would give us the least information. I probably will go through his posts too, though.

I went back through Ashbringer's posts as well after I saw he'd been killed; the only posts he had of substance were the one where he announced his presence and the one where he explained exactly why the suicide pact wouldn't work. Neither of those seem like reasons to make him a target (since other people had *already* pointed out flaws in the suicide pact), so I would guess that Matrim's Dice is right that the elims were just killing him to avoid giving away information. Unless he had PMs with anyone, and let slip that he knew something?

Edit: I phrased that poorly; I meant "let slip what his role was"
