Kelsier vs. Dalinar
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Mailliw73's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Though if it was a fight between a Dalinar, who has spoken all of his ideals, or Kelsier, then I'm afraid that Dalinar would completely destroy him. Because having access to a Weapon that can kill with one hit, Stormlight that heals and improves all of the Surgebinders physical attributes, plus Shardplate... There is very little in the cosmere ( not including those on Roshar ) that could take a full Surgebinder 1v1. Except a Mistborn/Furechemist or possibly the Godking. ( and Hoid, obviously ) -
When Szeth meets Zahel
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Fifth of Daybreak's topic in Stormlight Archive
No, because the Windunners have quite a solid idea of what is 'right'. For example one of their Ideals is “I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.” Which means that they can't just go and kill people, they have the philosophy of everyone deserves a second chance. Whereas the skybreakers are justice. Justice is comprised of two elements, Retribution and mercy. Taken without mercy, retribution demands that every criminal be punished, no matter the crime. Which is what i think Nalan/the new Skybreakers are doing. Except that Nalan has focused solely on Surgebinders, believing that they are responsible for the coming desolation so deserve to die for their 'crime'. -
Kelsier vs. Dalinar
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Mailliw73's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Kelsier wins with just Atium. Add Duralumin and Brass to remove his emotions so he just sits there then stab him in the eye-slit of his armour. -
Hasn't it been speculated that because Demoux got his power before Harmony reworked Allomancy, he can use Atium and all its alloys?

Interesting... then what would happen if you gave a group of people a Spike for all the different Shards magic systems (or as many as they can withstand having.) and forced them to procreate? How many different Systems would the children be able to access before it compromised their health? 4? 5? More?

Would the parents sDNA even be passed on to their offspring? Seeing as it isn't part of their true sDNA, it is only stapled on.

That was my thought as well but I always thought that a Divine Breath was the Nalthis equivalent of a Spren. Which would mean that having a Hemalurgicly attached Divine Breath would be similar to having a post-Recreance Blade, powerful but limited. Due to the Decay that comes with the Hemalurgy.

Somewhat unsavory applications of Kandra.
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Zerovirus's topic in Mistborn
What if you had taken them over using the Flaw? That is the easiest way i can think of it happening. -
The alloy of law because it was cool seeing my all time favorite character, Vin, being treated as a hero. Also Wax and Wayne's relationship was awesome to read.

Theory on the Bondsmiths' spren
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Mathologist's topic in Stormlight Archive
Why do people assume that Bondsmiths Bond with the Stormfather? I thought he only appeared after Honor died. Because if that's the case then he isn't as old as the Knights Radiant. Or am i missing something, is the Stormfather as old as the Knights?- 10 replies

Then did the people who shattered Adonalsium have any say in what intents the shards have? I'm assuming that people were involved because it seems a big coincidence that Adonalsium shattered and that people were conveniently there to pick it up.
-
Did whoever/whatever have any say in what intents the shards had when they were created? Or were they the only forms the power could have?
-
Understanding. The more that you understand, the more powerful you become. the more you know why things happen, what can be done to change it and make it as near to perfect as possible then the more you can begin to affect the things around you.

I'm pretty sure that it cycles back to the shard it came from.

Crazy theory on Interlude:Stick [possible spoilers]
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Funkylemon's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well stick now has a religion so he is effectively a god. That interlude is the best in the book and how dare Brandon say he is a minor character he is obviously the most important person in the Cosmere. OMG STICK IS ADONALSIUM!!!! It's the only logical answer. -
Crackpot Theories Possible Mistborn Trilogy 2-3 Plots
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Moash's topic in Mistborn
They may not not invade to conquer, but to colonize? Similar to the English? If this theory is correct they may just assume everyone without their level of technology are a bunch of barbarians and they may try to 'civilize' them. -
What Are You Listening To Now?

TOOL- 46 and 2 cover by Aaron o'Keefe's students. -
Sorry if this is a double post, but i'm at least 71% it's not. I haven't seen anyone ask this question and i think it could be somewhat important. What are the affects on him from him wielding the Honorblade? I ask this question because the Honorblade forced him to consume a greater quantity of Stormlight. So what were the affects of that on his SDNA? Did the extra Stormlight going through him cause him to get more 'cracked' thus allowing him to gain a bond easier or did the Honorblade consume it? If it was the Honorblade consuming the extra Stormlight then what was it using it for? Because that makes the Honorblade seem much weaker than a Spren bond and that doesn't make sense because we know that the Heralds were a lot more powerful than the Knights radiant. We know this because when the Knights were being made Ishar said they must have controls or he would destroy them one and all. This makes little sense for him to say seeing as Kaladin put a major beat down on Szeth and the fact that Szeth had difficulties with just a Shardbearer ( Gavilar ). So why was Ishar so confident in his abilities that he could, presumable, fight a large number of Surgebinders and beat them? Is this an inherent ability or was it because the Honorblades a were just that powerful? If anyone help me to makes sense of these discrepancies because i don't get it. Sorry if this post doesn't make sense but I'm so f**king tired and i haven't been able to sleep for the last several days. Stupid insomnia.

Blade giver (Spoilers)
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to theofficetroll's topic in Stormlight Archive
Assuming that Szeth is a lifeless, what would happen if you threw a divine Breath, or it's equivalent, into him to Awaken him? Would you be able to give the command, "be justice"? -

Would you take a Shard? (General Spoilers)
SmurfAquamarineBodies replied to Observer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I'm not taking the Shard for the power but so that I can create an army then watch that army go on an never ending rampage. Killing all in their path or being killed by those they fight. -
Well if healing is mainly cognitive and the person truly thought they were the opposite sex. Could you just cut out/off their genitals then give them a divine breath to heal them? Is healing mainly cognitive or is it a mixture of cognitive and spiritual?
