Brandon implied there are multiple ways to worldhop (I'm on my phone and to lazy to find it) Perhaps Cultivations is to the west somewhere not ventured to yet.. The pure lake seems too big for a shardpool in my opinion IIRC it stretches quite a ways..

Maybe if a radiant dies their spren also dies? Does Taravangian also know of the existence of Nale? Now that would be.......interesting

Im currently doing a reread of WOR and in the Taravangian Interlude something he said jumped out at me. When he learns that Szeth encountered a Surgbinder protecting Dalinar. He recalls being startled when they found out Shallan turned up on the Shattered Plains. *this might not be perfect, im using the audio* What do you all make of that?

There will probably be a prodigy come in like 5 mins and give you an awesome pic of it but that's the best un labeled pic I've also found. The coloured larger symbols mean the orders and the little ones are the surges. At the risk of sounding stupid you should check out copper mind it's awesome site for cosmere stuff.

Hahaha i used to think the same thing. Did she really choose him though? His son perhaps she seemed distraught when he was Whitespined but he was described as young and handsome, his one legged fat fugly father on the other hand.... On my reread i read carefully and you can slowly see the transformation, i've never really seen her happy she seems to withdraw from it all and became aloof, resigned. Yeah he's not the type to let go easily and i can't really blame him for that after all he's gone through. I'd be interested to see what became of Kals father he seemed broken after Kal as well as Tien left to join the army.

I think Jasnah Wit and Kal would be a great team. The three musketeers. Have an upvote I would love to read about the three of them, But I doubt it hopefull they will meet up and I don't think Kal will get over it straight away but I don't think he'll make the same mistake as in WOR And will deal with it better than he once would have I like to think after each oath the KR grow as individuals. It would be ridiculous if he didn't have some sort of letter, I'll be grinding my teeth if he's just mistaken for a deserter or a run away slave but let's not forget that this is a small town and Kal has a big blade haha : D I'm hoping for some closure with the whole Laral issue IIRC didn't Roshone lose his leg? Hopefully he lost something else and spared that poor girl more degradation, hopefully he comes to terms with who he is now loses the scars and gets the eyes. Kal's had a tough life and needs a little good in his life

It makes quite the puzzle Nalan said to Lift that she was dabbling in arts that could return the desolations when he captured her but he leads the supposed Skybreakers. I'm not sure if he's just being bias towards the other KR orders or maybe the rest of the Skybreakers arn't Surgbinders at all they just follow the ideals. I think he truly is doing what he thinks is right, if he really had gone haywire he wouldn't have backed off when Gawx ordered him to.

The best you'll probably get are vague answers until Brandon posts a conversion Ratio for Cosmere - US Dollar which i highly doubt he will. My personal guess would be $3000-$5000,

Most uses of "Storm" in one sentence.

Shallan's memory ability (it's not always beneficial)
AerionBFII replied to kari-no-sugata's topic in Stormlight Archive
@ArthurDent genius I was thinking that maybe Dalinars gift is the fact that he seems to be that he seems to hold everything together I get that whole force of nature vibe as well. Renarin seems to have a gift with numbers IIRC @ the OathGate truthseer via math. LOL In not sure about Lift.. I think you nailed the whole compassion thing, wasn't her oath I will remember those who are gone or something? I think leadership is one of Jezeian/windrunner traits I see that charisma in Kaladins as well as big D though. I'm really interested in finding out, the wait for SA3 seems to be getting harder :'( -
Shallan's memory ability (it's not always beneficial)
AerionBFII replied to kari-no-sugata's topic in Stormlight Archive
I hardly think it's a competition I was merely trying to point out that they have both suffered greatly Kaladins when people trying to beat the will to resist out of him and brutal physical labour and Shallan forced to kill her own mother and the emotional abuse at the hands of her own family. It's left them both broken and scarred. Haha I'll say it's definitely a curse but the whole blocking it out and staring at the wall was hard to read. I got a little annoyed with it to tell the truth. Besides the character who got it worst is Taln in my book LOL She's never been in my list of top SA characters and the whole reveal of who killed Helaran in the future I can see coming probably won't help. Though I lked her best when she was dealing with the ghostbloods. I wonder what defining attributes the other KR are going to possess. -
Hahaha he'll be playing depressing music on his flute in a dark room in SA3 now he knows nobody likes him

I decided to make this thread after reading a thread combing through the death rattles. I wanted to try and make sense of the snippets from the book from the start of each chapter and try to put them in order and see what we could learn about the Radiants. By Chapter: Rough order of WOR:

I always assumed it was in the Horneater mountain lake, the ones which lets them see their gods, Rock said it is involved with why they can see spren. Rock also told Kal, Moash, Sigzil and Lopen a story in a bar about where he met a White haired 'God' aka Wit/Hoid who mocked his beard and asked the date in the horneater calendar. (The description of the 'God' made Sigzil uncomfortable)

I've just reread WOK and i missed it as well.... don't suppose you fancy a reread??? Already half way through WOR don't fancy diving in again just yet..

Confirmation that Mraize is a Worldhopper!!!! QUESTION (PARAPHRASED) Is Mraize a worldhopper? BRANDON SANDERSON (PARAPHRASED) Yes, he's been to a few planets, highly supervised by his babsk. QUESTION (PARAPHRASED) So what planet is she [iyatil] from? BRANDON SANDERSON Well, that's kind of a hard thing to say. She has three planets she's "from". For example, she's living now on Roshar, but then she's from a different planet, but that's not the planet that her people are from. QUESTION (PARAPHRASED) So there was a mass exodus to that planet? BRANDON SANDERSON Not exactly. If you were to find a Japanese American, where would they say that they are from? Her people did not have a mass exodus. QUESTION (PARAPHRASED) Have we seen mass exoduses before? BRANDON SANDERSON Yes, there are some in the cosmere. There's a mass exodus that is mentioned in one of the interludes in The Words of Radiance

The visions are tests as well as messages.
AerionBFII replied to High prince of geeks's topic in Stormlight Archive
I used to think it had something to do with being a Bondsmith until i found out Gavilar had the Visions as well and i don't think he was the man everybody thought he was and so i refuse to think of him as a KR. -
Shallan's memory ability (it's not always beneficial)
AerionBFII replied to kari-no-sugata's topic in Stormlight Archive
They both suffered terribly but in different ways Kaladin physically Shallan mentally. Yeah Kaladin seems to get help with his fighting through his bond with Syl. Shallan gets her memory through the same way, I think it is because the Windrunners specilize in fighting while while im assuming the Lightweavers are scholars. She needs a strong mental image to form her Lightweaving and her drawings for the moment. (i think she has a temporary block, like Nynaeve's in WOT) as the series progresses im pretty sure she'll get over that. -

I always thought that Dalinar attracted the visions because he filled some 'requirement' similarly to the way Kaladins actions attracted Syl. I don't even think Honor new how he 'found his way there' -
Plot to Destroy Adonalsium - CONFIRMED BY BRANDON
AerionBFII replied to imriel452's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think what the Shard needs is a consciousness otherwise it would just run wild. I find it interesting however that overtime the Shard holder slowly becomes more like said shard, like Ati was once a decent man but after holding Ruin for so long......- 66 replies

Adolin isn't my fave character but he doesn't strike me as a moper. I think the thing that is going to come back and bite Adolin is talking to that fanatic ex soldier Ardent Kadash. The one who has glory spren when he talks about the almighty, you speak to one Ardent you speak to them all. I got a major vibe from that scene....

When did Venli and the scholars try out Stormform?
AerionBFII replied to Rybal's topic in Stormlight Archive
Venli gave me goosebumps from the get go. She was definitely up to something my Cosmere sense was tingling -
I thought it was different because they had a different type of relationship. Or are you telling me Kaladin had that same type of relationship with everybody in his old squad? Choose your next words carefully now, he's my favorite character

An honest mistake, I think
