  1. Whoops! Didn't notice I had uploaded the png version. Can you delete that version for me? I don't have the ability to delete files and it won't let me upload the svg version with a similar name (and I don't want to have to change it's name since it matches the other 0 symbols). Or, HERE is the file if you want to upload it yourself
  2. The fact that both Khas and Jim were reversed to vote for themselves is a nice touch to end the last day cycle on seeing as that was how the first person in the game was lynched.
  3. Like I said, you did a good job with a complicated game. Those by no means ruined the it for me. I still had a great time. Just things to think about for improving future games.
  4. Yeah, It took my slow brain a minute to place the Cool Runnings quote. Tried to recover with the edit but maybe I should have gone the extra mile and added a Sanka in there somewhere.
  5. Those are some mighty big fightin' words seeing as how they are coming from a giant letter 'B'.
  6. I will be after the next night cycle. By the way, I was just rereading the rules and apparently my prayers to the Nigh Watcher will always be answered. "We hear that the Nightwatcher makes decisions based on hilarity and awesomeness." Edit: or does that mean she compares each person's request to my own to determine worthiness? Edit 2: Sorry, the correct response was probably "Ya, mon. I dead tonight".
  7. Fine, if you're going to twist my arm, I'll try this quick fix thing out even though I should really take a break after Game 5. You can call me Mon (the more Jamaican you say it the better).
  8. Svg's have been uploaded for the Hero of Ages. I'm not sure how to change the links for "icons" on the summary pages so someone else will need to get that setup.
  9. My plate was hit with the shardblade and hammer. It's permanently destroyed.
  10. Oh no, my identity has been revealed!
  11. Here you go: Well.... I never actually officially swore the oath. It was mainly a temporary thing since I had achieved the level of Scadrian Waffle Cook.
  12. If you hadn't seen it Leftinch, Claincy has a running list of the reputation levels in the Fourth Post of the New Repution Levels thread.
  13. Based on this, I decided to do a photo manipulation of the available versions of the symbols rather than remake them from scratch. I just blew them up and applied a few filters to refine the edges. It resulted in a sharper, jagged version but I think it still approximates the symbols pretty well. If any of the Wiki Admins think these are good enough, let me know and I'll upload the svg's. The symbols are listed below in the same order they appear on the allomantic chart. Clicking on the image will download higher resolution png's.
  14. I’d also like to say thanks to Rubix, Meta, Wil’son, Gamma, and all the GM’s for providing us with a great way to interact with each other on the forum. Every GM so far has done an amazing job with what I would imagine is a very hectic responsibility. There were some details that came up in Game 5 though that I thought I should bring up to see if they could be improved on in future games. It’s likely the nobles would still have been able to rally and defeat us in the end but I feel two things significantly affected the GB’s ability to win the game and were not spelled-out from the start. 1.) Outlining what scenarios reveal information in the write ups. On Night 4 the GB knew I was likely to be attacked by the nobles so we came up with a plan to have the nobles waste two kill attempts. I was given shardplate and protection with a painrial. Since we knew from the order of actions that the painrial would protect first, we had thought that it would deflect the bow attack and the nobles would not know I had plate. They would then waste the vote trying to eliminate me the next day only to end up cracking my plate instead. That would have bought us another full day. As it turned out, just being targeted by an attack revealed that you had plate so the nobles discovered the next day in the write up that I had plate and ultimately voted to lynch one of the other GB (by mostly luck). There was nothing in the rules that stated that it would be announced in the writeups that someone had plate if they were simply targeted at night, not actually struck. I can see that if they had hit me with an attack the plate would have been revealed as a result but that wasn’t the case. The painrial prevented the hit. I don’t blame Maili for our loss by any means. We should have thought to get confirmation that the plate would not be revealed in that situation but it might be a good thing for GM’s to keep in mind since the writeups can have a huge impact on the rest of the game if they reveal certain information. In the future, GM’s should take special care to try and outline all scenarios that will result in critical information being revealed in the write ups. 2.) The Hidden Message Games. I understand there are a lot of people on this forum that like solving secret codes and I’m fine with having that kind of element in the games but I think we should have some kind of stipulations around them. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not great with codes and don’t particularly enjoy trying to solve them. Game 4, I largely ignored that aspect Fnord had added since it didn’t interest me and ultimately it didn’t make much difference in the game, just added an extra element of challenge for the people that wanted to try at it. In game 5 I felt like I HAD to try and solve the code or we had no hope of pulling off a win. Trying to solve it at that point didn’t improve my experience in the game (since as I said I don’t enjoy codes) but instead added an extra bit of frustration. When it was revealed what the prizes were, I felt they were way too powerful and way too game changing to be given out right at the most critical junction of the game, especially for something that was supposed to be just a fun little easter egg. We had spent the entire game meticulously mapping out who had what items and working out strategies around that. Suddenly having three shields thrown into the game and a KILL ITEM?!? completely busted any strategies we had at that point and made anything we did a complete shot in the dark. In future games I feel like there should be stipulations on how secret games like this are handled. The game needs to actually be optional if it is completely hidden. As I said, I don’t particularly enjoy that type of game and it’s not what I sign up for when I play elimination. If I don’t want to participate in the hidden message game I shouldn’t feel like I have to in order to survive. The prizes should be non game changing. Solving the riddle should be reward enough for those people who notice the hidden messages and want to make the attempt. If the prizes are going to be game altering additions, it needs to be announced during the signup phase that there might be hidden messages and codes that can potentially effect the outcome of the game. That way, people who don’t want to worry about that sort of thing can skip that round of elimination.
  15. Seeing as I don't have plate anymore, never onwned a hammer, and my character likely wouldn't consider Jim his friend, I'm pretty sure there is an 'Awes' that needs to be changed to 'Ace' in that RP Wurum and Khas will have to borrow someone else's plate. As for my death, I already gave Maili a request before the game started on how I'd like to die.
  16. Being evil in game 5 of Sanderson Elimination has been occupying a lot of my free time lately so haven't been doing much work on new icon sets. Now that the game is wrapping up, I'll take a look at some of the recent suggestions. Yes, the ink pattern makes replicating the MB3 icons accurately pretty difficult, especially with the size of the pictures it's pulling from. Someone recently emailed Isaac to see if he would provide some higher resolution versions but don't think we ever got a response on it. If an approximation rather than an exact copy is fine, I'll see about making an attempt the next time i need to clear my head with a side project. I've thought about doing the surges, but had troubles coming up with some kind of theme for each of the glyphs beyond the original pattern. It's kind of difficult to represent things like cohesion and they aren't associated with a specific color or gemstone. You have any suggestions for a general theme for them?
  17. Correction to what I said earlier Ace, we hadn't spied the bow out. We had just narrowed down the list to three people we felt likely had it. Wurum had previously voted for Humperdink so we decided if nothing else, eliminating him would remove one person likely to vote for one of our own.
  18. Alv spied out Jost with the soulcaster and Wurum with the bow two consecutive nights in a row. I knew you were likely to attack me because Jost had turned my use of the emotion bracelet with the soulcaster the previous night and the people with reversers had been narrowed to two. We knew I was by far the most likely of the four of us to get hit. The plan was for your attack to be diverted by the painrial so you didn't know I had plate as well. That way you would waste your vote on me the next day and we'd still have four people. We didn't expect that my having plate would be revealed even though the attack was diverted. Yes, if you'd have done that, I would be the only man standing right now.
  19. I wish you would have done that as well because then I still would have had plate and Khas would have been perfectly fine
  20. Good game everyone. Being on the evil side was as enjoyable as I'd hoped it would be. Not sure anyone will ever believe anything I say in these games again though. Thanks Maili for creating and hosting a very complicated and entertaining game! Though I think instead of extensions Maili, you should shorten the day so we can finish this up. Don't think it will take people long to vote today. It was a good choice in the end Jim. With the new shields and mace added into the game, the odds got stacked pretty heavily against us and we were already in a tough spot with losing Humperdink and it being pretty obvious from yesterday's vote who the other two were. It was worth trying to sway you though just for the debate me and Wurum got to have. Edit: forgot to add that I vote Jim Bob Dirt.
  21. Had a random thought that the santhid eye was very fitting for a symbol of the observer's guild. I've already made something for the Wafflesworn and Newcagoans so I thought, why not? Here is a modified version of the Santhid eye I had previously made for my icon page. And a smaller version if needed:
  22. Oh you are in for a treat A good portion of Brandon's published works all exist in the same universe known as the Cosmere. In most of them there are only small ester eggs that show the interconnectivity but later books will have plots that involve a lot of crossing over between worlds and characters from the previous books. For instance, if you pay attention in rereads of WoR and Warbreaker you might notice two characters (or even three) that are in both. They just don't necessarily go by the same name. For a better understanding of how the cosmere works, checkout the Cosmere 101 thread.
  23. "Jim, none of this is your fault. Mommy and daddy are just having a small argument. You're too young to understand but sometimes two people just don't love each other the same way and need some time apart (or to hang the other by the throat... or shove a shardblade through their spine). We both still love you and will do our best to still be a family for you. You'll have to choose, though, who you want to stay with most of the time (and who you want to see riddled with arrows)."
  24. Freedom and power are not always one in the same my noble adversary. Just because the ardentia would no longer be owned by the crown, does not mean they would hold any position of power. If the people feel safer with the Ardents kept in line, we could ensure that by other means. Besides, what does and doesn't happen with the Ardents is really a mute point. Its a clever attempt to divert focus but does not apply to Jim because soulcasters would no longer be restricted to the Ardentia so Jim could freely use his without having to become an Ardent. What is this word you speak of... senator? No position such as this has ever existed in Roshar. Are you even from these lands you call home? You will never convince jim if you continue to make arguments based on fables and fairy tales. Bah! Like all nobles you hear only what you wish to hear and put words in other's mouths. I never said Jim would have to remain a thief. How could you believe that was what I said when I had just been speaking about giving people the freedom to choose their own path. Unfortunately, in order to gain that freedom, he must first take it from your kind who have been predefining people's roles for generations. Edit: *Obviously you refer to Caligula who doesn't exist in the cosmere. Though I wouldn't mind watching an army attempt to fight the ocean.
  25. Welcome to the forum Shahrizai! Do you plan on reading any more of his published works in the near future? They aren't all quite as good as Stormlight since they are earlier works but still very good reads and you'll get a much better experience with the various aspects of this community once you are fully versed in the cosmere. By the way, you might not want to multipost like that in the future. The moderators usually give warnings for that to prevent people from padding their post count. There is a multiquote button next to the quote button that will allow you to respond to multiple people with one post.
