    I've wondered the same thing about Adolin as the original post. I don't see that we really have evidence that he will, but I think the things we've seen would fit into supporting evidence if Brandon decides to go that way. I wonder if he would be willing to go that direction though. I think a whole lot of people would hate it and be left with a lot of negative feelings toward the series in general, and that makes me think Brandon would also hate going that direction (not because of other people's concerns but because he himself wouldn't like that story). It also sounds gimmicky (although my faith in Brandon is that he would make it believable).

    Back to Szeth... My personal concern with Szeth is the post-traumatic stress of murdering hundreds of people. His mind has obviously snapped somewhat as shown, for example, by his blaming people for their own deaths before killing them, and my question is if he can and will be able to overcome the mental stresses that he has gone through. It's less a question of whether he is worthy of some sort of redemption and more if he can overcome the mental trauma and the habits of hating people in general. And it's not like he will have therapy sessions. On that note, who would you like to see join the Murderers Anonymous group that Szeth would attend?

    I'm going to disagree that Calamity bears shard-like power. Shards have the power to control pretty much everything unless opposed by a separate shard. So unless there is an earth guardian that is opposing Calamity, I think we can assume she has much less power or she would be doing things on a grander scale (scary thought).

    I'm going to disagree with this theory just because you used the "sounds somewhat like" argument. =) Or better yet, I think I'll come up with an alternative theory based on that same argument. How about, chasmfiend sounds a little like Kaladin. We expect him to grow/obtain plate armor sometime soon, so is it really a stretch to see him transforming into something huge that also has plate armor? Radiants are really just chasmfiends in embryo, but they only mature to greatshells if they break their oaths. The Alethi have been systematically slaughtering former radiants, something that when it comes to light will cause upheaval in the church.

    I wonder if "gifter classification" is actually a false idea in that all epics actually have the power to gift, but most do not exercise it due to their disdain of common man.

    Not to be nit-picky, but how many immortal dragons have you met?

    Sleep does wonders for me. I usually only deal with depression in conjunction with feeling really overwhelmed with too much to do which stimulates procrastination and staying up late to keep up. The only way I've successfully dealt with that is to let go of a responsibility instead of trying to do everything.

    I am wondering if the reason behind the Recreance has more to do with Honor. Maybe the Radiants were convinced that they could give Honor an edge on Odium if they returned power to him, so they sacrificed their nahel bond. Or maybe the "wicked thing of eminence" has to do with the splintering of Honor. Were their actions responsible for the splintering or in response to a plot to splinter Honor? I think I'm correct in saying that Honor was splintered post-Recreance (because he set up the vision showing the Recreance) but correct me if I'm wrong.

    Wow. I agree this is harsh to Honor, and suggests that people really don't like the idea of having to live up to the promises they make. Of course there are negative consequences for breaking oaths, and the consequences are proportional to the power granted from or inherent to the oaths made. This applies to all oaths, and I would submit that oaths broken without pain are oaths that had very little commitment to begin with. Marriage is the easiest example to validate this idea.

    I have a somewhat related question. With painted plate (as most is) do you have to re-paint it every time you get in a fight? Does the paint seep into your soul and get infused into the plate? =)

    Jasnah's been gone for quite a while now. Is it likely that she would still have infused spheres? I guess we could claim a difference in time in different realms, but otherwise her spheres should all be dun. Also, she's all burned, so maybe she went to one of the other planets in the vicinity of Roshar. Are the moons the other planets?

    Another thought: if someone collects/is given all the honorblades, does that make them the equivalent of mistborn? Stormborn? (with poor stormlight retention)

    Question: Is Dalinar currently holding an honorblade? I thought he got it from Taln, which would imply that it is one, but WoB is that you don't have to bond an honorblade, and Dalinar took a week pretending to be sick to bond it. Any clarifications?
