  1. I guess it could go either way. We haven't really seen any hint of a controlling entity, but it could be there. Yeah the Dor is a mix of both Dominion and Devotion. If you were to compare a "cup" of the Dor in one country vs another, it'd be the same. But the Arelish are slanted more toward Devotion, than Dominion, I think is what Weltall was trying to say.
  2. Hey, theories are good. I'm just here to hopefully help keep them grounded in what we know
  3. I don't think they would need to fight for dominion over each other. Maybe *after* everyone else was under their dominion. Also, just like each type of spren is basically the same spren with a slightly different flavor, I feel like the skaize would just think of themselves as a single force, rather than fight for dominion amongst themselves. No, I don't think there's anything new about the voice. My guess is that since the pool is concentrated Devotion, it was conveying those emotions/essences and his mind interpreted them into words.
  4. I don't know about Renarin and Venli, but Taravangian, Dalinar, and Lift, totally.
  5. I don't think the number of Fused/Splinters of Odium's power on Braize is anywhere near enough to hold him there. Like, one or two of the Unmade, to me, have way more power than all of the Fused combined, and the Unmade are all on Roshar.
  6. Skaize are basically evil seons. They are definitely of Dominion, and seem to be driven to dominate. And they have a huge influence on Wyrn and Fjorden. Have you read the epilogue in Elantris 10A? You get a glimpse of them there and they're pretty freaky, and not nearly as mundane as the seons. https://brandonsanderson.com/annotation-elantris-62-1/ And
  7. It would have to be the lunar orbit. I think they mention that it circles exactly once a day?
  8. Mmmm no, not quite
  9. Taravangian's efforts regarding Dalinar have only aided him in Unifying people, so I don't think that's a coincidence. Renarin I think has two possibilities. One is that because he was supposed to die, so the fact that he lived is a huge deviation from what Odium saw/the Diagram predicted, corrupting everything from that point on. Or because he can see the future, he functions a little like what you said about two people burning atium negate each other. Also, Taravangian is still a plant by Cultivation.
  10. Wyrn is definitely being influenced by the Skaize. They're probably the ones feeding him mythos and posing as Jaddeth.
  11. The Oathpact only binds the Fused to Braize and doesn't directly affect Odium. Odium is bound by Honor and Cultivation. And having to renew the Oathpact would mean that the protagonists are desperate and losing and need a stop-gap measure, which I feel is a bad way to end Arc 1. I think the first series will deal with the events on Roshar--the Fused, the Listeners, the Radiants, Urithiru, etc. Series 2 will deal with Odium, the greater Roshar system, and a different set of challenges to the characters.
  12. I think he was more worried that the sphere would fall into the hands of Thaidakar or Restares, though I can see the Parshendi, too.
  13. ? Brandon does have plans to write about Hoid. He's just not sure when, exactly. Hoid's origin story is Liar of Partinell, then there's Dragonsteel, which will be the story of the Shattering, and finally Mistborn Era 4, the space opera, which will have Hoid as a main character.
  14. Yeah super kudos to him for going through with it. I'm not shy, but I couldn't do that. Dedicated!
  15. You can soulcast things into aluminum, so it has to exist in the CR and SR.
  16. Feel free to submit a suggestion/change
  17. The almost naked koloss guy :6 The older guy who cosplayed Ishar is amazing. My fave, definitely. Shallash is next most awesome.
  18. I think that's how Ivory talks. If you look at his other statements, they're phrased the same way.
  19. Oh, I misread. I thought you were wondering...well I didn't know what you were wondering so I was confused! lol
  20. I think the red mist is tied in to the metal that Bleeder uses. If so, then it's from a Shard that we've seen.
  21. Not sure what you mean? They're not Radiant spren, they're spren who are sapient, that aren't affiliated with the Knights. Yeah, I'm really glad this was asked!
  22. Technically, no spellcheck or grammar check would catch it, since it was a correctly phrased sentence. It was simply wrong
  23. Ahahahaha thanks, I fixed it.
  24. I think unpublished stuff never counts as canon because they can go through extreme changes during writing and revision. That said, yeah it's almost certainly Frost and Hoid.
