  1. Yeah, I think it is referring to the moment when Kaladin stretches forth his hand and Syl becomes a Shardblade for the first time.
  2. Brandon's consistently RAFO'd what happens with copper compounding, but it's for sure going to have some weird effects, I'll bet.
  3. This is SO cool!
  4. Honestly, if I went to Randland, I would end up smacking all of the characters upside the head for the first 9 books...
  5. There's a WoB that it was very very rare before the Recreance. So presumably, it did happen a time or two. I'm trying to find it but failing, today... Edit: I think this is the one I was thinking of
  6. I think that would count as FTL, at least in the uninhabited parts of the CR, where you cross light years in a few steps. You would beat a beam of light while worldhopping from Nalthis to Roshar, for example.
  7. Yeah I don't think we know enough about how they work to say for sure if they could connect in a practical manner. But theoretically, it should be possible?
  8. ...it's 2019. That was from two years ago.
  9. Really want to look at the dates on these before necroing
  10. This post was from two years ago...
  11. I'm sure a similar mechanic can be achieved on most worlds, though probably not an "Oathgate" specifically. Examples would be what allowed Raoden to teleport to Teos in seconds.
  12. And Hemalurgy still damages your soul.
  13. Inert Shardplate can't be Lashed by anyone. Adolin had to leave his Shardplate behind when they flew to Kholinar (though I think they could have pulled it along in a basket or something). And as Argent mentioned, a Windrunner can't affect someone else's Shardplate either. But they can Lash themselves in their own Radiant Plate. Presumably, this involves Identity and affecting Invested objects with someone else's Investiture. When/if Szeth manages to manifest Radiant Shardplate of his own, he should be able to Lash himself in it just fine.
  14. I believe @Jofwu said that it still doesn't work? I've suggested it working like a telescoping rod before.
  15. A bit of a correction: Metal is not invested. It glows to Shardic sight because of the power trying to come through it. It's the key to accessing the investiture, rather than the investiture itself (except for god-metals). Also, I'm thinking the "spears" are the horseshoes being Pushed down as he jumps with them?
  16. Can open, worms everywhere.
  17. I think they could, but that it'd be a very difficult and risky process. There's two Shards mixed together in the Dor, so trying to control that is going to be pretty hard. And trying to would likely leave them open to a strike from any enemies that they have. And it'd likely take quite a while, making it even more risky for the Shard in question. So theoretically possible, practically, very difficult and unlikely.
  18. This is probably the best explanation we have so far.
  19. Jezrien and Ash are confirmed. Nale and Kalak are highly likely. I think anyone else being there is just best guesses, still.
  20. The Mistsnapped are at the lowest level it's possible to be and still be an Allomancer. Technically they were below the threshold and the mists added just enough so that they could be Allomancers. They might keep the power from diluting quite so much, but it's still far more dilute in Era 2 than in Era 1. Citation needed. Also, none of this disputes my point that there would be 39 generations between Wax and the original Mistborn, compared to Vin's 28.
  21. You're calculating it as if Wax was descended from a lerasium Mistborn, which he wasn't. He was descended from Breeze and Allriane, who were already reduced power Mistings. So Wax, if your numbers are correct, would actually be 39 generations removed from the original Mistborn.
