  1. Well...if you guys don't mind a GM who is literally doing it for the first time then sure, I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl.
  2. Ya know, I never did get around to making a Pony!Sentry... :ninja:
  3. I'd probably leave choices like that up to whoever is DMing...unless you're assuming I'd be DMing. Which, frankly, I wouldn't be opposed to. It seems interesting; I just don:'t have any experience with it, and a very limited Pathfinder experience in general. (As in, two games, both of which are still in early stages). Then again, doing so on a site like this -where I'm generally a known person- is probably better than jumping in feet first as a stranger on another site. If it was me, I'd probably just allow anything from the PRD and SRD, since I don't know the system well enough to know what's broken or not. But...this is mostly a fact finding thread, to see who would be up for a game. I could start putting details together if enough people are up for it.
  4. Well, I hadn't thought of running a Sanderson specific game; Mistfinder was mostly me just joking because...uh... I'm odd, I guess. Still, I'm a fan of superheroes, and I've heard of M&M before, so I'll add it to my list of gaming systems! (Current list, if anyone is curious, is Pathfinder, FATE and Adeptus Evangelion 3rd edition).
  5. Vampire.
  6. Arrow spoilers Bonus points:
  7. Archer, Kirk, Picard, Leia. I can't tell if Starfleets standards are getting worse or better in every way
  8. I'm not sure if you mean "as a werewolf" or "as a man", but I doubt either way would make much of a difference to how the situation ends.
  9. Jeez. Just when I thought Fenrir couldn't get any worse.
  10. Actually, ya ever have one of those memoents where you read something, and you aren't sure if it's supposed to stabdvin for something, or if you're just reading too much into it? Cause I have with Fenrir. He's already creepy and villainous, considering he specifically targets children causing them to grow up isolated by the wizarding world... ...but he targets children. Isolating them from their friends and families. And Lupin day's he was trying to rally werewolves to Voldemort cause. Basically, I have never been sure if my impression of Fenrir as a child-groomer was intentional on Rowling's part.
  11. On Soviet Shard, metal spikes you? Wait, metal does spike people. I dunno. My comparison is fundamentally flawed.
  12. ...The Crescent Outlaws would be an awesome name for a gang of werewolf cowboys.
  13. You get a bad motivator, and a new R2 unit. Insert a penny on a string.
  14. Thanks for the responses everyone! And apologies for such an odd question to begin with. I admit, I have a bit of a fear that -unless I build everything from scratch, and I don't get an idea from anything else- my ideas don't "count" as real. So... uh... yes. The fact that I looked at some art work people did and started wondering about stories based around those character sort of... bothered me a little bit. Thanks for validating my work method!
  15. damnation. I have nothing of substance to add, but I want to say that that is a really good drawing.
  16. I was working until 3 this morning to finish off my 48 hour work week. Not only do I still have a job there -a minor miracle in itself given my track record- I have been informed I am no longer on a probation period with the company, I got a minor pay raise, and I'm now eligible for the monthly bonuses they give their employees. This sums up my thoughts pretty well.
  17. I was going to Sanderson-ize the title and call it Stormfinder or Mistfinder or something, but it seem's like too much trouble. So, yeah. I've been trying to learn the rules for some tabletop roleplaying games lately. I'm still trying to piece together the rules for FATE, but I think I understand the basics, at least, of Pathfinder... And since we already have a fairly thriving RPG section here, I figured it was worth asking: would anyone be interested in doing a Pathfinder play-by-post game?
  18. Specifically, I'm confused as to whether or not it's a real thing, or if it's just a cultural precept. My interpretation of the Thrill in Way of Kings was that it was kind of like adrenaline or a battle lust; a mundane thing which Alethi cultural precepts have made Super Important, which is why it had a capitalized name rather than just being called "adrenaline", or "the thrill of battle" or something. But... the default assumption on this board seem's to be that it originates from something magical in origin (likely Odium). I was just wondering, is "the Thrill is magical" confirmed anywhere? I wouldn't be surprised if it were; but at the moment, I'm still a little confused about it. All the major moments I can think of involving the Thrill seem vague enough that I'm unsure if it is a magical influence or just the Alethi customs coloring characters reactions.
  19. And from Red to Brick

      Nice profile pic.

  20. This accurately describes every SE game I have ever played. Also, the level with Kobold King as the boss has to filled with Kobolds as random encounters. I mean... that's just common sense, right?
  21. Well, I'm being snarky rather than having a genuinely bad day. And.. I have, for the first time ever, reached my upvote quota. I SEE THINGS, BUT I CAN'T UPVOTE THEM. WHAT IS THIS NEW FORM OF MADNESS.
  22. Does anyone know a good support group? I was trying to see if the local toy store sold Pathfinder (nope), happened to see a Transformers toy* and though 'huh, that looks cool'. Then I spent ten minutes looking around the shop for enough deluxe figures to form Superion. I'm pretty sure the only reason I'm not fiddling with toy bits at the moment is because I didn't have enough money to pick them up, but still. The last time I picked up a Transformers toy as "Just this one, it's cool looking", I ended up dumping a lot of money into a bunch of display pieces. Help. *A Combiner Wars Voyager-class Silverbolt, if you're curious.
  23. Would you mind PMing me?I must admit a rather morbid curiousity. And...having read it, I agree. This seem's too elaborate -and too much time- for simple trolling. I'd say they don't quite understand how things "work", so to speak.
  24. A term that comes from TV Tropes (don't click that), but for those of you who are unfamiliar with that time sink... Fridge Brilliance refers to something which, when you think about it, suddenly strikes you as... well, brilliant on the part of the writer. Corrolary tropes include fridge logic (where stuff suddenly makes sense) or fridge horror (where thinking about somethign makes you realize something horrifying about the work which isn't explicitly stated.) As an example, here is one of the TV Trope "Fridge brilliance moments" for Mistborn (with spoilers for the original trilogy). Have you guy's ever had any moments like this- things which suddenly make so much sense or change how you view a work? I've had one recently. Men in Black Granted, that last part might just be me reading too much into it because of recent history... but still. You guy's ever had "Eureka" moment's like these?
