  1. A bunch of them would have been tweeted at Brandon for the steelhunt for firefight, wouldn't they?
  2. That looks really interesting! Stink had referred to the Merit system in conversation by now seeing it incorporated into a game and explained in context, I'm all the more interested to see it in action. Oh, and do you mean 'duel' as opposed to 'dual'?
  3. Also putting it out there that Elbereth did a ton more work on this than I. She did most of the action tracking once we started helping out, and although I wrote half of the first write up after we took over and helped brainstorm the second, she did most of the writing. It was Elbereth running the show and me helping out her! So hats off to Elbereth!
  4. Oh, Alphas! I wasn't sure, with the definite article in front. I thought it was pretty cool, though having watched things like Fringe and 4400 before hand, it felt quite samey. But I enjoyed it, never the less.
  5. I'm not sure what's meant by matrices of nth grade, but you couldn't pick A=X^T, B=X^-1 ?
  6. A query. Did you mean 'aweful' (as in 'full of awe') or 'awful' (as in 'disgusting')? 'Cause both could work...
  7. Do mean when you quote a bunch of different quotes at the same time? Because that's the multiquote button beneath posts.
  8. *Belated hugs* Disclaimer: Words/encourgement isn't my strongest suit. Because you're humble enough to admit that you might not have answers right now, and are able to reach out to ask for help. Because you're trying, and that is the most important thing. You'll only ever truly fail if you stop trying. To quote Alfred Pennyworth, 'Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.' Life is going to have its ups and downs. Sometimes things might work out. Other times it might not. The thing is to keep trying, especially when things are looking down.
  9. Big Shannara Spoilers:
  10. Oh, and if anyone's interested, I made a 17th Shard Spartan Company.
  11. Cycle 5: Kill the Messenger The room had grown quiet. Everyone ate their food in silence. Discussion was only half-hearted at best, as everyone ate Meallin’s pies. Walking back into the kitchen to grab an extra plate of cranberries, Meallin’s musings were interrupted by the sight of Stink with a piece of charcoal in his hand, ducking out the other door. The wall was marked by a streak of black. Meallin roared. “Get back here, you kayana property-defacing idiot!” He dragged Stink out of the pantry. “What do you have to say for yourself?” Stink grinned at him. “Do you want to build a snowman?” Meallin raised his eyebrows. “Right then. You get to spend an hour in the snow, thanks to that. Don’t come back until you’ve regained some semblance of sanity.” He dragged Stink through the common room and threw him out of the front door. “Build your own snowmen!” An hour later, Meallin sighed and went outside to get Stink. Once he got outside, however, he stopped short. Stink was lying in the snow, a ritual dagger protruding from his back, a stick of charcoal still in his hand. Meallin sighed, but didn’t feel too bad at the loss. At least he won’t be defacing my property anymore. As he turned to walk back inside for another burial detail, Ratel and Kaloo walked out. “Don’t mind us, Meal,” he said affably, as Meallin winced at the informal use of his name. “We’re just going to settle our differences.” Meallin nodded, and walked back inside. He noticed that the dining hall was a lot less full than it had been an hour ago. “Where’s everyone gone?” he asked to the room at large. “Several people have gone back to their rooms,” said Merad. “They should be back soon.” Meallin nodded, though he was still slightly concerned. “And what’s with Ratel and Kaloo?” “They had some kind of disagreement. I’m not quite sure what it was. I was busy eating.” At that moment, Ratel walked in the door calmly. “Kaloo’s all dealt with,” he said. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to my dinner.” Meallin sat down to eat himself, enjoying his pie. After a few minutes, however, a commotion broke out at the door, and Kaloo stumbled in, battered and bloody. Ratel surged to his feet. “How are you alive?” he demanded. “He saved me,” Kaloo said incoherently. “Who?” Meallin inquired, curious. “Cloaked man… Jindo?” Kaloo said, before he fainted. “Well, it seems fate has decreed that Kaloo would not die today. Merad, can you care for him? Make sure Ratel doesn’t try to attack him again. Not until he’s well again, anyway.” Stink was killed. He was a Rulo! Kaloo(Lopen) was lynched, but didn’t die! Votes: Kaloo(Lopen) (1): Ratel(Alvron) Player List: Bort, Phatt, Shallan, Jain, and Elkanah have not shown up this cycle, and have one more cycle before they die! 12. Cycle 4: Constewed Innocent Ratel paused in the door of the kitchen with Claan. “Claan and I and some others are going to go searching for the people who went missing,” he said. Meallin nodded absently. “Just be back before we eat all of the pie!” Ratel grinned and headed out. Just as he began to put the pies in, there was a commotion at the door. “What now?” he sighed. It seemed that the missing people had come back. Citona Vinid, Alexanderand, and Aim were right inside the door, with a few of their rescuers. “And where have you been for the last hour?” he said. “We got lost, sorry,” said Aim. “But we found a body outside!” “We think it’s Claan’s, but we’re not sure,” added Citona. “We spread out to search,” said someone else, “and when we came back together we couldn’t find Ratel, and Claan was like that.” At that precise moment, Ratel burst through the door, puffing. "I'm here guys!" He took a few breathes. "Just. Got lost. Is all." Meallin rolled his eyes and pushed past them to walk out the door. Claan’s body was lying outside, mutilated almost beyond recognition. Meallin shook his head sadly. He was concussed! Why did they picked someone already partly incapacitated? Not that the Jeskeri cultists were known for their logic, of course. He turned to go back inside and organize a burial detail, shaking his head, but stopped short at the sight of a message scrawled in charcoal across the door. No-one wanted to be SAVED. How irritating I find this is comparable to the feeling of another Ookla ignoring you. We must look at numbers 14 to 17 now to find an eliminator. Those who post many times may be hiding something, or trying to punish those who don't post as much. A SE YDSV QGM UGMDV VWUGVW LZAK META MIGHT BE MALICIOUS “Someone messing with my outpost? Again? I will find you, kayana, and I will lock you up in an insane asylum." He walked back inside, organized a burial detail, along with someone to clean of the message, and returned to his pies. As he moved to the kitchen, the smell of pie wafted out and it was glorious. Catching sight of a little white bit in one of the pies, he frowned. Was that a piece of paper? At the kolo, kolo kayana The coldest spot north of the dula At the kolo, kolo kayana Cultists and lynching, and lots of drinking At the kolooooooooo, kayanaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! He shook his head. Someone had tried to sneak their propaganda into the pies. This was getting out of hand. “When’s the stew coming?” Someone called out from the group seated at the large dinner tables. “You’re going to have to wait for the pies to be done. Inor ate all the stew.” And then chaos erupted. Everyone jumped up and started yelling, and screaming, taking hold of Inor and dragging him to the door, booting him out and barring the door after him. “And don’t come back!” yelled the group with one voice. A faint reply came back. "So long and thanks for all the stew!" Inor Haze(Creccio) was lynched. He was a Regular Trader! Claan(Clanky) was killed. He was a Regular Trader!
