  1. I think you mean allomancy in that last sentence, but yeah. Makes it so much more useful because it has the potential for being twinborn, plus it's a great thing to store. Until you need it, you spend all your time storing as much as you need.
  2. Okay, so some belated quick links: Quicklinks Player List: Now, for info: The role distribution for AG1, which had 28 players was as follows: So far, there's been some similarity to this game. We know the spiked had a Lurcher, and I strongly suspect they have a smoker, with a fair chance of one of the Soothers we've encountered being a Spiked. Probably my picks for eliminators would be mainly Mail and Hero. If they were both spiked, I expect there'd only be one more player on their team.
  3. As Alv pointed out, it seems we might have a Spiked Soother - They certainly paid no attention to my suggestion of scanning for the Spiked Smoker. I don't suppose anyone has any clues as to who the other Soother is? Edit: Hero didn't post last cycle, did he? But he's been on the Shard. Currently of the opinion that he's one of our Spiked. So Coinshot/Mistborn, Hero would be my suggestion for a kill as well. I'll try and collate info and post some final thoughts before end of cycle, incase the Spiked have had a Mistborn who has finally rolled Steel.
  4. The more active players to not be scanned are Hero, Mark, Elbereth, Mail. Sart, sorta. They would be the main ones I can think of. Mark, my goal has been to stay alive. I didn't want to get killed by the Spiked because they thought I was dangerous. If I started going after the wrong people in thread, that could get me killed. I'll also say that I consulted the people I had scanned when choosing targets. Ada was chosen because I thought Alv was likely to get smoked after the discussion around him offering to be scanned. I believe Alv was then Ada's suggestion (I'll check and edit this after). Kipper was suggested by the group. I ignored the group when I scanned Wyrm, but I wanted to put my mind at rest. Orlok was the groups decision, and Mail was Kippers suggestion, as you all saw. So as far as the targets were concerned, I haven't been choosing my own targets entirely. Now, a question: Does anyone know if any Soothers/rioters have run into any active Smokers? Actually, that's something. The Spiked Smoker has their cloud up this turn. If Mail isn't the smoker himself, then if you Soothers can catch someone else who has been Smoked, we'll have found ourselves a Spiked. Mail can't be Soothed this turn, and if you are willing to trust me for this turn, then it's a waste to Sooth Alv, Orlok, myself, and the other scanned player. I would ask people to vote. To catch the Smoker, they need to vote, but if no one else votes, they can hide. Of course the more votes placed makes it less likely to target the Smoker, but a lower chance is better than no chance. I shall follow Alv with a vote on Hero, for the time being.
  5. Something to take into consideration is that the Spiked believed Ada and Kipper were scanned by a Seeker, and killed them. If you don't lynch me, there is a fair chance I will be the one to die. My suggestion is this. Give me a chance, and trust my scans. Take them into consideration and lynch another suspicion. Then, tonight, either I will die to the Spiked kill, or I will survive, with another scan, maybe even a Spiked. I will then willing submit to being lynched, if that is still your wish. My scsns, in order, have been: 1. ??? 2. Ada 3. Alv 4. Kipper 5. Wyrm 6. Orlok 7. Mail I will leave it up to my first scan to come forward if they wish. And I can confirm that Mail has known I was a Seeker since cycle 2/3.
  6. Sigh, well I guess that's out of the bag. Hi everyone. I'm 'Jake', village seeker. I did scan Mail last night, but he was smoked, so no read. I know of one village smoker still alive, but I don't think they would have Smoked Mail. So we have confirmation of an active Spiked Smoker. Yes, I've made 7 scans now, and no Spiked, but in a game with 27 players so maybe 4-5 spiked? Sure, it's unlucky to have not scanned a Spiked yet, but it's hardly surprising. Last time I was a Seeker (QF7), I managed to find all the roleless (or Koloss-blooded, who looked the same to a scan). So I've hardly been known to have much luck. Anyhow, what about this other 'supposed' Seeker. I do find it highly improbable that they could have scanned 7 players not in my group but still have no Spiked. So I would very much like to hear who this proxy is. As for who I've scanned, I've just told you Mail was scanned (not verified, mind you). Kipper and Ada were both my scans, and I had scanned Wyrm. What I'm not sure of is if I should reveal the names of the others. I'll let the 2 who know I scanned them decide for themselves. The third living player who is verified, but doesn't know it yet, is Orlok (He was my scan the night Wyrm died, so I wasn't able to PM him). So, if Meta deigned to give us a Lurcher, I would ask that you protect me, going forwards.
  7. Sorry for not being around. Re: Jake scans, I'd agree with Mail or Hero. And I have no problem with Alv's suggestions for the other Seeker. Re: Info dumps - I'm not sure...
  8. To be clear, I was referring specifically to the lights off mode (I believe Rich Text editor is the name for it). And it's a bad thing because the WYSIWYG mode is usually unreliable for complex posts, and the RTE is the best way of making sure it works.
  9. The ability to undo downvotes is one thing. The ability to do callouts (using @Haelbarde would leave me a notification without needing quote one of my posts or PMing me). The forum will no longer have a mobile version, rather it will be adaptive, meaning the site will automatically rescale to the size of the browser, meaning the mobile version will be fully featured. We'll be losing the rich text/code view editor, which is a bit of a pain. That's about the extent of what I've heard is in the update.
  10. I was waiting to you guys decided on a target from your discussions, but seeing as you haven't, I'll also put my vote on Jain
  11. Quicklinks Player List: Well, seems Meta didn't opt for making both tineye's Spiked, like I wondered if he might. Also seems Hellscythe was wrong about Wyrm too. So what now? We have a large number of (semi) inactives. Do we start lynching them? Or are there existing suspicions. Wyrm was suspicious of Hero, wasn't he?
  12. Quicklinks Player List: Okay, so vote shenanigans: Hellscythe(3): Elbereth, Luckat, Hael Jain(2): Hellscythe, Mail Hero(1): Wyrm Mail(1): Mark IV Elbereth and Hellscythe's votes are both absent. The Soothers strike again. And that's the third soother down.
  13. Curious, with the Rep, does the precise number of rep that you have, across all your posts (i.e. the number in the (usually) green box next to your posts) truly matter to you?
  14. Vote Tally Hellscythe(3): Elbereth, Luckat, Hael Jain(2): Hellscythe, Mail Hero(1): Wyrm Mail(1): Mark IV Tally (with history): Any mistakes? Also, as far as I can tell, these are the less active players: I did start compiling this the other day, so it might be slightly out of date. Bort and Creccio look to be the only two truly inactives, with the others on this list having at least be on the shard, in some cases still posting. Not decided if Sart should be on the list of inactives (he's not in it currently), but it is a list of (semi) inactives. I'd be willing to lynch someone on that list, like HS suggested, or maybe I'd put a vote on Hero, but I'm loathe to have another tied lynch, so I'm going to put my vote on Hellscythe. I know I've been quite suspicious of Wyrm in the past, and maybe that paranoia hasn't left entirely, but it's not at a place where I'd confidently lynch him. Not just yet anyway. And I think that the loss of PM's completely would hurt the village more than it would the eliminators, so I'm also unwilling to lynch what seems to be our only remaining tineye on the off chance he's Spiked. I would do so if we'd already taken down 3-4 Spiked, but we've only had one so far. Now, while I disagree with you, and find you slightly suspicious, I'm not so dead set that I'm not willing to shift my vote. I could be convinced to shift it to an inactive, if enough votes were placed on them. Edit: Sigh, ninja'd twice... And while you've gone and put two votes on Jain, tbh, I think I'll still keep my vote on you HS, unless doing so causes a tie.
  15. What I like about Rep is the funny little titles you get. Do I care about the number? Not really. The 'total posts' number is of more use to me. And even then, it's not all that important. Like some of the others here, when I firsted joined the community, my focus was the theory crafting, and I remember Kurk as being particularly notable as an important contributor to that. Getting a vote or two for an theory meant a lot. I guess I like the idea of removing the repuation number, but keeping the ability to upvote, and increasing the upvote quota to a fair number. Theory crafters won't approach the quota, and the RPers and Community goers get more upvotes. I don't know what I'd want to be done with the Rep title. Do they still work if you don't publically reveal the number? How do the awards work, by the way? Because it would be cool for there to be awards/trophies or something that could appear under a users name on their posts that showed they were an important contributer in a particular area of the forum.
  16. Been busy the last day or so, but should be fine for the next few. Quick links and thoughts coming when I get to my PC. Edit: Quicklinks Player List:
  17. Have you changed the Wifi Password? Does your router report the device names connected to it?
