Phineas took a drink, staring at Red's lifeless body. "Uh... did he just die?" he slurred drunkenly. Silence answered him. "Well then... I'm just gonna leave." He tried forcing open the door, but it wouldn't budge. He tried grabbing a chair. Devon grabbed him before he could. "No one's leaving here. Devon Halberdeen, United Intelligence Bureau." He flipped open a badge. "This area is under my jurisdiction. I expect statements..." It happened in an instant, Suddenly, mind blades shot out, ripping him to shreds. Phineas stared at the bloody corpse, and then at the gaping wound in his chest. "Oh... I died too." He quickly succumbed to his wounds, evidently being killed in the crossfire. And once again, the crowd began turning into a frenzy. It wouldn't be long until another death occured. Cloudjumper has died. He was a Human Soldier Bridge Boy has died. He was a Human UIB Agent The day ends 24 hours from now. Good luck. Player List:

Night One: Everyone started shouting all at once. Accusations started getting hurled left and right. A voice broke through the crowd, "We need to blow up the facility! It's the only way to stop the aliens." Red Fess acted quickly, putting his body between the console and the mob. "Don't come any closer!" he threatened darkly. "You're all aliens, aren't you? That's why you're trying to use the console, you're trying to kill us! I won't let that happen. Even if I have to kill every last one of..." Raven intervened, tackling the madman to the ground. The mob quickly descended. Unfortunately, Red Fess bled red. Arinian was killed. He was a Human Firebrand. Once again, no PMs are allowed. It rolls over from the previous night, if that makes sense. You guard against someone in the night, so when they try to lynch you the next day, you take action. Character deaths all look the same. The Alien kill, Phone Company Kill, and Cytonic kills are all through the power of your mind. It's hard to tell who is throwing what. PAFO Also, didn't get a good quote on this one, but UIB Agent is an alignment scanner. Aliens can have any role in the game, barring Phone Company Operator.

Day 1: It was an unusual day for Jupiter Platform 19. A group of politicians were going to be touring the facilities, so everyone had to look their top shape. They were just starting to examine the missile launch systems when klaxons rang out. Everyone looked up, startled at the turn of events. "Attention all platform residents." came a voice from the loudspeakers. "Aliens are attacking the facility. They aim to launch the missiles stationed here at earth. We believe several of them to be impersonating humans. Whatever you do, do not let them fire the..." The voice cut out, and muffled shouting and screaming could be heard from outside. Per operating procedures, the base entered lockdown mode. No one got in, no one got out. The visitors were trapped in the missile room. If one of the aliens got control, who knew what would happen. And so the seventeen survivors began to squabble. And one of them would not make it out alive. Welcome to QF24. I'm a little late, so this day will be lengthened slightly. It will end on Friday at 7 PM Eastern, 6 PM Central Time. Player List:

I'm mostly caught up. As for role-claims, I'm a Tineye. Unfortunately, the people I've scanned didn't do actions, and have also died, so it's not exactly useful information. I scanned Cloud Night 1, and Yitzi Night 3. I decided not to do an action night 2, trying to save my last vial until I had decided on a suspect. Unfortunately, the suspect was detained, so I didn't get any useful information out of it. I'm out of metal now, but if anyone has a spare vial, I wouldn't mind having it.

Sometime next week. I just got done with my internship, so I will have a lot more free time. I'm thinking Wednesday, the 21st. Everyone can use Cytonics. You can use Cytonics as many times as you want. Aliens can have any role in the game. It has to be the person sending in the action. Cytonics only works if the player is targeting you with an action, in this case, the eliminator kill. Day and night cycles are 24 hours long. PMs are not allowed, because everyone is paranoid and trapped in a tight space. The defender will not be revealed. Standard win conditions: Aliens want to outnumber the Humans, and the Humans need to kill all the Aliens

Eliminating Elysium First off, there are massive spoilers for Defending Elysium, a short story Brandon wrote, in this game. Thankfully, the story is free to read on Brandon's website. Here's a link to it. Now then, on to the game itself. Chaos has erupted in the Outer Platforms after it has been revealed that rogue aliens have been impersonating humans in an attempt to gain superior weaponry. Unfortunately for the visitors to Jupiter Platform 19, their missile station has just been infiltrated. The bunker has been cut off from the outside. If the aliens gain control of the missiles, who knows what chaos they might cause. Cytonics: The ability to sense other minds is present in all intelligent lifeforms. During the night cycle, a player can protect himself from the actions of another player. If that player tries to use an action on the protected party, it will not happen, and the other player will be immediately killed. Cytonics does not count as an action, so Cytonics cannot block other Cytonics. For example, Tom, a normal human, sends in his night action to protect himself from Steve. Steve tries to investigate Tom during the night. It will backfire hilariously, and Tom will kill Steve instead. Oops. Or Tom could protect against Bob, an alien. If Bob tries to attack Tom, Bob dies instead. Yay. Roles: Firebrand: You can rile up the crowd, and make people look worse than they actually are. Each night, instead of using Cytonics, you can place a secret vote on a target player. Soldier: You won't go down without a fight. Well, as long as the aliens don't kill you with their mind. If you are lynched, and the person you guarded against voted for you, then you will automatically kill that player as you die. Politician: You know how to judge a crowd, and can figure out who is suspicious of you. Each night, instead of using Cytonics, you can detect who guarded against you. Cyto Adept: You're a quick learner, and have figured out how to guard against multiple people. You can target two players with your Cytonic powers. UIB Agent: You suspected that the Phone Company had infiltrated the base. You didn't expect to find aliens here too. Instead of using Cytonics, you can target one player during the night to learn that player's role. Phone Company Operator: You realized that this was a prime target for the aliens, and teleported here as fast as possible. You can target two players with your Cytonic powers. Furthermore, instead of using Cytonics, you can kill a target player. Alien: You swapped minds with a human, and now look just like one of them. You have a Google Doc to conspire in, and you have a group kill. Quick Links:

Vote count: Cluny (1): Elenion Elenion (0): Jondesu Ecthelion (0): Jondesu Orlok (2): Yitzi, Sart I hate it when threads go inactive, because it's usually my fault for not posting. I tried looking back at Brightness's posts. She often claimed that Orlok was probably a villager. With her being revealed as an Eliminator, combined with the information we gain from lynching him, that's where my vote is going to go. I feel bad lynching someone when they're busy, but we need to act, otherwise the day will be wasted.

Vote Count: Orlok (2): Flash, Stick, Cluny, Sart Stick (2): Araris, Ecth III Flash (1): Jondesu, Cluny Generally speaking, I tend to trust those who reveal their role to the thread. During Day 1, I trusted Orlok after he revealed, it didn't make sense to me why he would do that as an eliminator. However, this day's events have made me more suspicious. In addition to the roleblock on Flash, look at the voting patterns. Both Araris and Ecth vote on Stick after Orlok garners 3 votes. Araris I can understand, but Ecth's vote seems especially flimsy. I suspect she was trying to shift the vote off of Orlok, trying to save a teammate. Add this to the shenanigans of Day 1, and there becomes overwhelming evidence that Orlok is evil. I'm not 100% sold, but I think a lynch on Orlok will give us a significant amount of information.

I.. that doesn't make any sense. You don't have any Bronze. The only people who have Bronze are Seekers. If Ornstein was our only Metallurgist, we won't get any more Bronze. Even if you get some Bronze, no one will be burning metal if our supply has dried up. And we have no way of knowing if you're telling the truth if you are actually following through on that bargain. I think you were trying to get out of a lynch by lying. Cluny I think you're a thief or a spy. Not the greatest logic. An eliminator will probably not go after a trusted player if they suspect he is protected. After not having a kill the first cycle, they probably went after a lurker to try to guarantee a death.

Spaceflight Of Doom (QF): In the end, the spaceship was sinking like the Titanic. That much was obvious. The question was: who got to escape? Several escape pods were damaged, so not everyone would be making it out alive. The survivors huddled in a group, not knowing where the others were. In the end, a simple plan was decided on. Whomever got the most votes got to leave. They would keep doing that until the ship exploded, or all the escape pods were used up. Unfortunately, not everyone was going to play fair. And there was still the issue of the saboteur. Who would dare challenge the might of the Empire? Setting: Firstborn (a short story by Brandon Sanderson) The Gimmick: In this game, getting voted on is a good thing. The player who has the most votes at the end of a cycle leaves the ship. After a certain number of cycles (determined by number of players) the ship will explode, and anyone left on the ship will die. If there is a tie, no one leaves the ship. Win conditions: Loyal soldiers: Have as many loyal soldiers as possible leave the ship. A straight victory is having half or more of the people who leave be Loyal Soldiers. Saboteur: Leave the ship. When you do, you blow up all the remaining passengers. Down with the Empire! Coward: Leave the ship. It may be the coward's way out, but that's good enough for you.

Argyle stopped to ponder the guard's extraordinary luck. Not only had no one been murdered, they had successfully apprehended a Venture agent. At least, they suspected as such. They had to be sure though. Argyle considered Booken's confession. That was even better news! They had apprehended a Venture Seeker. That would be a very powerful blow to the spies. Argyle couldn't believe their incredible luck. He stopped. Incredible luck? Incredible Luck!? That had to be a mistake. There was no way Argyle could be this lucky. Well, he supposed that statistically, there was always a chance, but he doubted it. It was best to assume the worse. It would be optimistic to think that Venture had sent a Seeker after Conrad. He doubted the house was that much of a threat. If that was the case, then Booker would be a loyal Seeker, which meant that they would have wasted an entire day killing him. That made him immediately suspicious of whomever apprehended Booker. Argyle fixed his eyes on Locke. Should Booker turn out to be innocent, the suspicion would turn on whomever apprehended him. However, Argyle also doubted that Locke was guilty. If he was a Venture spy, why confess to locking Booker up? He would have lurked in the shadows to buy time. It would also be dangerous for a Venture to go around detaining people. Someone might question their authority, and then they would be in big trouble. So Argyle didn't suspect Locke either. But that just brought him back to square one. If neither Booker nor Locke were spies, then why was there no kill? Was it miscommunication caused by the move? Could it have been a plot to make them suspect whomever was detained? Were there even any spies among them? Argyle didn't have the answers, but he knew what he needed to do. He needed to stop Booker from getting lynched. Then...who would he vote for? Someone lurking in the shadows, perhaps. Someone who was trying to egg on lynching one of the suspects. Someone like... Lance (Ecthelion III)! He was the one who started the suspicion on the captain. It wasn't much to go on, but Argyle didn't have much else in terms of evidence. Plus, he wanted the man to speak up. @Ecthelion III "What do you have to say for yourself!" he accused, pointing his finger at the man. It was time to get some answers.

Argyle hated the outhouse for several reasons. First, you would have to leave the keep, and go outside into the mists. Knowing his luck, he would probably get eaten by mistwraiths. Thus, he had to run to the outhouse. Unfortunately, that sometimes meant running into the outhouse, tripping, somersaulting forwards, and landing face down in the latrine. Second, you would have to open the outhouse door. There would always be a gust of wind that would send the door careening onto his back, knocking him forward. That had of course knocked him face-first into the latrine on multiple occasions. Third, you had to sit down on the latrine. Sometimes, the seat would somehow be up when it should be down, which meant falling into the latrine once again. Still, nothing bad had happened this time. Maybe things were finally looking up for once. He put back on his pants, and got up to leave the outhouse. He opened the door, and went outside. He stopped to consider his luck, when a stray gust of wind sent the outhouse door flying open, knocking him straight into the muddy ground below. Well, at least it was easier to clean than manure.

Argyle tripped over a chair. "Aaah!" He fell onto the stone floor, in a clatter. He felt bruised, but he didn't think he had broken any bones. He got up, and quickly looked around. At least no one saw him fall. "Who put that chair here? It wasn't there when I left..." He scratched his head. It didn't matter. There was supposed to be a meeting of the guard's soon, and he needed his weapon. A club wasn't an elegant weapon, but it was wood, and it got the job done. Where had it gotten off to? He finally spotted it on the other side of the room, and rushed to get it. He was going to be late if he didn't hurry. He tried to rush out of the room, but before he exited, he tripped over the chair again. He swore, and quickly exited the room. He really hoped no one had seen that...Then again, it wasn't like he wasn't clumsy most of the time. He sighed. There wasn't much he could do about it. He got up once again. Made sure not to walk in to the chair, and exited the room. He hoped no more accidents would happen.

Whoops. I got the math wrong. I am staying at the Mews so I have a 10% chance of going insane. I'm not studying the arcane fields. I suppose I could have studied Sympathy, but Orlok dedicated himself to that, and I hadn't thought about it. Alchemy and Artificery require you to continuously stay at the university, which I couldn't afford since I'm Edema Ruh. Naming was undoubtedly going to be popular, and I didn't trust my luck enough to go into it. My points would quickly be outclassed, and even if I did get in, the danger to my sanity was too great. Thus, I am not in an Arcane field.

Titud strode up to Locke, scowling. "How dare you vote for me behind my back? The least you could have done is notify me!" (Seriously, at people that you're voting against) "I voted on you because I thought you were jumping between disciplines. It's in our best interests to stick to one field, in order to quickly attaining mastery status, while not clogging up other fields with points scattered everywhere." "However, you revealed yourself as a master of sympathy. That was my true motive. I wanted a trust group to form around you, so that you could deflect a kill. I knew you were powerful, so I merely directed the Skindancer's gaze at you, in the hopes that you would be protected. Considering the lack of sabotage, I believe I have succeeded" He stopped to collect his thoughts. "In addition, you are studying Sympathy. I do not believe that a Skin-dancer would do such a thing. Malfeasance is only good once it's upgraded, Malignant Sympathy Protection is situational, and Mommet-Making only helps the village. Therefore, I have every reason to suspect that you are a villager, and a powerful one at that." He noted that Locke was now an El'the. "Although I cannot with certainty say you are not a Skindancer, I suspect you are not. Thus, I have created a cop for the village to rely on. Why would a Skindancer do something like that? It makes no sense for them to pull a gambit like that. In addition, I have not tried to worm my way into your trust. Wouldn't a Skindancer, after revealing such a powerful threat, try to ally themselves with you, in order to cloud your judgement? I have done no such thing." Titud privately added that he had just voted for Locke. There wasn't much chance of joining the trust circle after doing that. "Therefore, I strongly advise you to take your vote off of me. I am only an Edema Ruh. I have been elevated once, and I have only 4 points invested in my chosen field. I am not a threat. I am skipping the university this cycle because I do not have enough money to afford it. Being put on the horns would ruin me, and make me practically useless for this game. I already have a 10% (Not 20, darn it math) chance of going insane due to my lodgings, so I strongly ask that you retract your votes." With that, Titud turned around, and stalked off. He was done talking to Locke. He needed to find the Skindancers, not worry all day about staying off the Horns.
