  1. Hmm... I had considered switching my vote to someone else after the bandwagon formed, but I didn't want to leave the vote to chance, plus the sudden counter-bandwagon made me hesitant. I agreed with Paranoid King on one count though. We need to take a closer look at Yitzi. I was suspicious when he managed to post both cycle 1 and cycle 2 without placing a vote. However, he mentioned he had a new job, so I let the matter drop. Now that he worked to lynch PK, I'm a little more suspicious. Confirmed good does not equal confirmed right, but it's at least a place to start. @Yitzi2 who are your suspicions? I'm curious to know.
  2. Well, we won't get anywhere if we don't vote. My suspicion of Arinian has lessened since yesterday, especially with his previous post. However, I'm going to put a vote on Paranoid King. He voted on Stick on Day 1, yet switched his vote to Sami on Day 2. I'm probably reading too much into this, but he might have been trying to avoid the bandwagon to make himself look innocent. @Paranoid King I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
  3. I voted on Arinian for 3 reasons. Gut vote: Something in his posts rubbed me the wrong way. I needed to post to avoid the inactivity filter, and I wanted to vote to do my duty to the thread. Throwing suspicion: During cycle 2, he voiced suspicion of 5 different people in one post. Now, that's not terrible, but he didn't vote on a single one of them. I suspect that he was trying to get us to lynch one of the candidates without getting his hands dirty. The post is on page 14 if you want to look at it. His vote on stick: His reasoning in his post was "If you want it. Shrug" I'm not against adding a second vote to a player, but doing it that way rubbed me wrong the wrong way. It seemed too opportunist. I wasn't sure if Stick was village or not, but I was worried that we were lynching Stick because he talked a lot. I wanted to put my vote on someone who was quieter. We have a bad tendency to lynch vocal players, which kills discussion. I'm a bit worried about having two votes on me. I know I'm village, although you have no reason to believe me. If I was really an eliminator, don't you think I would have tried to defend Stick more? That way I would look better during the next cycle.
  4. I'm getting suspicious of Arinian. He seemed way too eager to lynch Stick, and he has been throwing a lot of suspicion around.
  5. "Heh. Heh. Heh." Sartil breathed heavily, exhausted from doing pushups. "Why. Did I. Do that?" he panted out. It had seemed like a good idea at the time. It was best to let someone else take over, and since Spiff had volunteered, he went along with the exercise. He wasn't prepared for this! Two people had been murdered, so he wasn't planning on sticking his neck out. It was better to listen to instructions, and follow the crowd. "Spiff, sir, what, should we do, about the bodies?" he gasped out. They should probably be buried, he supposed, but he wasn't willing to voice that opinion just yet.
  6. Sure, why not? Signing up as Ardent Sartal.
  7. I already cost you the game once. You really think I would go back on that? Joe, peace is the only outcome I'm after.
  8. Nope. I'm unaligned. Judging from the lack of kills, there may have been only 3 Ghostbloods, but that could also be a precursor to a Voidbringer attack. And if you think I'm still a Ghostblood, do you really think the GM would give the Ghostbloods 2 Ambassadors? That seems a touch overpowered, even for this game. Unlike the rest of you fakers, I'm actually trying to work towards peace. So, Cloudbringer, time to tip the scales back. In case you haven't noticed, we still have control of the lynch, with 3 freaking Ambassadors on our side. The Parshendi are at roughly equivalent lives with us, so all we need to do is kill one of their kill roles, and we can finally have peace.
  9. In the interest of peace, Brightness Radiant needs to die. It's going to be tricky with the vote manipulation that got thrown around last cycle, but we might be able to manage.
  10. I meant one of the Parshendi kills, either Voidbringer or Shardbearer. Both sides are in a form of the Prisoner's Dilemma. Both Alethi and Parshendi want Jondesu dead, but if one side doesn't attack Jondesu, they get an advantage over the other. What ends up happening is no one kills the Ghostblood, and we're stuck in a less than optimal, but logical, solution. So let's operate under the assumption that no one bothers to hit Jondesu. Would you be willing to enter into a pact with me? In exchange for me voting for Brightness this cycle, you must vote for Jondesu next cycle, presuming he is alive. That means you don't get to vote on an Alethi Ghostblood, or another Son of Honor, or even the Son of Honor Shardbearer. Would that be acceptable?
  11. Let's play the numbers game. We have 1 confirmed Ghostblood, Jondesu, with 2 probably still lurking in the Alethi camp. We have no Sons of Honor dead, so there's probably at least 3 of those alive. We have 2 Voidbringers dead, but there might be a third lurking about. That would leave us 4 unaligned Parshendi, and 6 unaligned Alethi. So, in conclusion, 3 Ghostbloods 3 Sons of Honor 1 Voidbringer 4 Parshendi 6 Alethi That could be a problem if Alethi continue to die. What I don't want to happen is the scenario where the Parshendi take out the Sons of Honor and Ghostbloods, and then get the easy win through killing the rest of the Alethi. It hopefully won't happen, but I'm cautious of it. In terms of today's voting, it's not looking good for either party. If we suppose the Parshendi voting block holds, then that's 5 votes on a Son of Honor. Obviously, the Sons of Honor want another target, and a revealed Ghostblood looks pretty nice. So that becomes 3 votes on Jondesu, 5 on Brightness. The remaining Ghostbloods don't want Jondesu to die, so they'll vote on the other target, in this case, Brightness. That makes 8 votes on Brightness, 3 on Jondesu. If all of the remaining Alethi voted on Jondesu, they could theoretically lynch him. However, if even 1 Alethi votes on Brightness, the Alethi won't be able to come back from that. Support for Jondesu's lynch will dry up, and the Sons of Honor might flip to Brightness in order to stay in the crowd. No one gains any information from the lynch, Jondesu survives another day, and the Sons of Honor lose a member. So... yeah. The Sons of Honor might have vote manipulation, which could make the Jondesu lynch slightly easier. It would require nearly unanimous support among the unaligned Alethi, but it could potentially be possible. Unfortunately, a couple of Alethi are mostly inactive, so getting enough support would be challenging, especially since it would be breaking the trust we have with the Parshendi. I'm not going to vote for either candidate. I'm not voting for Jondesu. Without vote manipulation, that means the votes would be tied, even if all of the Alethi ganged up. Even with vote manipulation, it would take a miracle to lynch Jondesu. I won't vote for Brightness either. The Sons of Honor kill helps keep the gaming from going lopsided towards the Parshendi, and I just don't like lynching an Alethi. I propose an alternative. We try to lynch an Alethi Ghostblood. Risky? Yes, but it's better than the other two options in front of me. Plus, it would help actually generate discussion. Even if the town decides to lynch Brightness, at least the voting could tell us a little bit about alignment. It could also allow Brightness to survive, which would mean another vote in Alethi hands. Worst case scenario, we lynch an innocent Alethi, which gives us a huge disadvantage for peace. Another scenario, we end up lynching a different Son of Honor, which gets the Parshendi what they wanted in the first place. Best case scenario, we lynch another Ghostblood, which neutralizes the threat they pose for a couple of turns. I'm curious to see how this plays out. Joe, I think you are an Alethi Ghostblood. You voted on Orlok, and then Brightness, but you never voted for Jondesu. Would you like to defend yourself?
  12. Congratulations! Don't worry, we'll murder you so you won't have to pay attention to this game.
  13. Are you seriously unwilling to lynch a Ghostblood? That is a huge problem, especially since you are going after Brightness Radiant. If the rest of the Parshendi follow you, that gives control of the lynch to the Ghostbloods. That assumes there are 3 Alethi Ghostbloods, but I think that is a reasonable assumption. The Ghostbloods will win if you continue to let them slip by. There's so much wrong here that I'll need to break it up. "There were six attacks." And there are going to be 4 this cycle. If the Parshendi voting block holds, a Son of Honor will be lynched. The Ghostbloods will kill a non-Ghostblood. The Alethi shardbearer will kill a Parshendi, and the Parshendi shardbearer will kill an Alethi. Drake is the only Parshendi who doesn't have an extra life. To further vote manipulation, the Ghostbloods will probably target an Alethi, and I assume that the Parshendi won't hit a Ghostblood, although that would be nice. That leaves us with 3 Alethi dead, and 1 Parshendi dead. This is a failed outcome. It would be 6 Alethi v. 4 Parshendi v. 4 Ghostbloods. The unaligned Alethi left would have to align with the Sons of Honour, while the Ghostbloods would have the most reliable kill. "Drake is our last scanner" Drake is not the last Scanner. Literally any Parshendi could spend a turn to go into Scholar form to become Scanners. "Jondesu will take two turns of lynching" Not unless every faction ignores him like last time. We need to learn from our mistakes. "One lynch for the possibility of lots of gain" The Parshendi have a Shardbearer, and Brightness has already lost an extra life. I see no reason to waste a lynch on her when the Parshendi are just going to kill her anyway. Look. Brightness is going to die this cycle even if we don't lynch her. Why not actually use the lynch to accomplish something that all factions want? Vote peace, vote Jondesu.
  14. Right then. Time to go through the people who voted for HH, a normal Alethi, instead of Jondesu, the person who an Artifabrian said was a Ghostblood. Drake Marshall: He's a Parshendi, so it's not that surprising he wants another target. He argues we should just shardblade Jondesu instead. From the results, it appears no one followed that advice. I would hope all factions attack Jondesu this cycle to end the threat, as everyone needs the Ghostbloods dead. Still, I worry that the Parshendi made a deal with the Ghostbloods to protect themselves. Hopefully not, but I wonder. He's also RP'ing that he went into Decayform, so I'm guessing he is the last Voidbringer. Cloudjumper: Another Parshendi. Nothing that interesting StrikerEZ: He's listed as voting for Jondesu, which means he could have gotten vote manipulated. You jumped onto the bandwagon extremely early, which makes me suspect Ghostblood. However, apparently you were in a PM with HH, which made you suspicious. Crimson Wolf: Again, another early Alethi vote. She even voted on Orlok before going to HH. Really suspicious. Joe in the Bush: Really? Another Alethi voting for Orlok then HH. Wants to protect the Ghostbloods so that peace can happen. Excuse me, but peace can only happen with all the Ghostbloods dead. Yitzi: He was in the PM, so at least it makes a little bit of sense. Still don't like Alethi voting against their self-interest. Megasif: A new player, so I understand why he would want peace. It's a bit bandwagon-y, but I'm not that suspicious of it. Alvron: Another Parshendi, another vote on the pile. Daniyah: Another Parshendi, another vote on the pile. Brightness Radiant: Apparently unaligned? I'm not sure I believe it, but she was attacked last night, so I'm not looking to kill her yet. Frozen Mint: Oh look, another Parshendi. I'm somehow missing Jondesu's vote, but it isn't that surprising a Ghostblood would vote to save themselves. I'm extremely suspicious of the Alethi who voted for Orlok then HH. That makes me distrust Joe and Crimson.
  15. This. Jondesu should have died yesterday, so I'm going to take a big look at the people who suggested otherwise as potential Ghostbloods. It sucks that he still has an extra life though.
  16. This... isn't good. I feel like it needed to play out, regardless of how unbalanced the game might turn out to be. Still, I understand your decision. Regardless, Jondesu. Every faction except the Ghostbloods needs the Ghostbloods dead.
  17. Wait a second. How do you know about order of actions? As far as I am aware, that hasn't been revealed to the thread yet. In that case, you must have gotten it from one of your docs. Would anyone from the Parshendi doc care to comment on this? If OoA hasn't been revealed there, I suspect Elenion got it from one of the eliminator docs.
  18. What I'm worried about is the Parshendi going, "X is a Ghostblood, we need to lynch him." and then it turns out X is not a ghostblood. You guys can start blaming yourselves, and we won't know who to trust. Even if we attack or lynch one of you, we could just as easily hit another Warform, and waste our kill. With my plan, if you betray us, we kill or lynch the false Scholar. Thus, you have incentive not to lie to us.
  19. Since now You don't have to do it, I just like the distinction between RP and discussion. I'm aware some Parshendi will switch to Scholarform. I want a Scholar that the Alethi know about, and can target if things go wrong. It's insurance. They will be protected by Warform. If a faction tries to attack them, they'll hit someone else instead. @Seonid Does Warform's redirect protect against the lynch? If the Scholar gives bad information, we can just lynch him This plan benefits both sides. The Parshendi get a trusted member of the village, who can detect Ghostbloods and Sons of Honor. The Alendi get insurance in case the Parshendi try to use their scanners to lynch a regular Alethi. It's a compromise that tries to benefit both sides.
  20. Sarit examined the Parshendi entourage. The good news was the Alethi delegation outnumbered them two to one. The bad news was each Parshendi appeared to be confident veterans of Warform. While there were some warriors among the Alethi, there was a significant number of diplomats among them. If fighting broke out, Sarit didn't like the Alethi odds. If only one of the Parshendi would turn into their rumored Scholar forms. That would make them much easier to talk to. He examined the warriors, and approached the most talkative one. "Kyner (Drake Marshall), I request that you turn into your Scholar form. To guarantee this, I will strip your armor away. Then you can be more observant, and be a leading force for peace. Does that sound agreeable?" Out of RP color is orange now. Here's my plan that should benefit both sides. We lynch a Parshendi today, preferably an active one. Due to Warform, they won't die, but they will be down an extra life. Therefore, Warform wouldn't be useful, so they can switch to Scholar form. @Seonid You don't die if you switch from Warform after losing your extra life, right? It would be suicidal for a faction to attack the Scholar, as the Parshendi can easily protect him through Warform. The Scholar can then report on roles and alignments of the Alethi. If they get it wrong, we can always lynch them, since they won't have an extra life to rely on. If they tell the truth, we then have a guaranteed cop in the Parshendi hands, who can start getting rid of the Ghostbloods and Sons of Honor. The loss of an extra life stops a betrayal. For this to work, we need an active Parshendi. Since @Drake Marshall has been active, I suggest him, but if the Parshendi have another candidate, that could be arranged. What do you guys think of this? Let me know.
  21. A game that needs players? Sounds like a job for me. Signing up as... um... it's hard to come up with a character that's either Parhsendi or Alethi. I'll wait until the game starts.
