  1. Except that the pressure of pushing a spaceshio would kill you Unless you were a full feruchemist and mistborn compounding pewter, iron, and steel, while burning steel and pewter allomantically.
  2. Maybe it's a cooler name he made up for black diamond?
  3. Not if she creates psychic projections, which are interpreted by everyone in the area rather than directed at one person.
  4. I like the idea of him battling Sadeas to a standstill, then seeming to strike a final blow - but flipping it at the last moment so the blunt end knocks him out instead of the pointy bit skewering his skull. And setting his eyes on fire.
  5. I feel like Hoid's character is very Pratchetty - witty, hidden depths, and you never know absolutely everything about him.
  6. I don't think he believes that he has a choice, however - to not carry out his orders is the same as death for him, and, though that might make him a coward, it does not make him evil. His world is one of Kill or Die. He chooses to kill, because to choose death is something not a lot of people can do.
  7. Maybe not - but if the shaft is unbreakable, it could also be a badass nonlethal weapon. You could actually knock people out with it rather than slice their souls in half, even though the sharp bit would be deadly when used with malicious intent. A weapon fitting for a warrior in an age where chaos is as much of an issue as the enemy itself.
  8. Except Honor is a Shard. Being able to see into the future is part and parcel of the god business - and he isn't even that good at it.
  9. Yes. This all the way. Only Brandon is worse.
  10. It's been 300 since 330 or so! Go check!
  11. Why don't you like Szeth, then?
  12. Um, hey, Peter, if you read this, does the steelhunt update immediately or is there a delay? It's been half an hour or so... sorry to bother you.
  13. It glows inside things, but also seems to manifest as wisps of glowing smoke.
  14. Maybe she was waiting to use that, so the sudden tension in the water launched he upwards like a cork from a champagne bottle.
  15. First, upvote for the pun when I get to a computer.Second, he mentions that his abilities are poorly suited for assassination because they make him glow.
  16. Oh I see.
  17. Welcome to the 17th Shard. Step carefully around Kurk. He's scary, I tell you.
  18. Can someone upvote flowers for me? It's not letting me from my phone for some reason
  19. Unless youve got the spheres in a simple lever and pulley system, which you operate yourself. I think they can manage that.
  20. Shardplate provides the force. Friction eliminates the pesky hydrodynamics. Result? Walk right on through water.
  21. This is probably how Transportation works.
  22. Yeah, he was trying to frame Dalinar, being worried that he was plotting to take over the kingdom. Which prompted Dal to go in and beat the living daylights out of El while wearing Shardplate. Great move to inspire confidence there, Dal my boy. Well done indeed.
  23. More like a U.S. marine naming their gun. Knights were pretty special - not rare, but the majority of people emphatically were NOT of the KR. Besides, I call my car Bessie.
