  1. Something about both accusations being wrong, but the Investigators continuing to search. And them being a bit more enthused than when some random person that wasn't the Ja died. Cycle 2 has begun, and will end at 5PM Eastern Time on Thursday the 23rd! Link to Spreadsheet Oracle Clues: Also the spreadsheet since Aman keeps pasting it: Player List:
  2. Cycle 2 will go up in about 45 minutes, and everyone has posted already!
  3. A new contingent of the SPF, the "Accusers", had been formed in response to the death of the Ja. From their new contact, the Aracle, they knew the killer and several of their accomplices had infiltrated the Accusers, and that the murder had been accomplished with some of the massive stockpile of deadly animals, poisons, and other nasty trinkets the SPF kept on hand. After roughly a day's wait, the Aracle's second communication was received and the Investigators began working to decipher the clues. Round 2 has fully begun! My clues are listed below, and you can also see them in the spreadsheet. Begin discussion, and anyone is now allowed to make an Accusation. Also make sure to post once each cycle! Cycle 2 will be posted 5PM Eastern time on Wednesday. Link to Spreadsheet Oracle Clues: Player List:
  4. Okay, next cycle will be posted shortly!
  5. Thanks and fixed. This is what I get for copy-pasting from a spreadsheet that I copy-pasted from QF 33.
  6. The Ja was dead. Of course, his followers on Scadrial had believed him dead for many centuries by now, but this time he had truly been slain. The SPF rallied forth to solve the mystery of his death, aided by a mystical being known as the Aracle. Cycle 0 has begun, and will end at 5PM EST on Tuesday the 20th! PMs are closed (and will never be open in this game). I'll also note that I added an extra Co-conspirator this game, since all previous iterations of the game have resulted in village wins. Don't think that should sway the balance too much. Right now the player list has been set and everyone has been randomly assigned their Methods and Evidences. The starting tiles have not been chosen yet, so you can disregard those for now. You can view all of this in the game's spreadsheet, or click on the spoiler tag below: Feel free to chat and RP as you like while the Assassin makes their selections! All roles are present in the game, and everyone should have received a PM from me with your alignment and role. Player List:
  7. Okay, signups are closed! PMs and C0 will go out in a bit.
  8. I think it's similar to other games; the filter existing or not doesn't break the game, but it helps mitigate the loss of power for a team when one of their players disappears.
  9. Yeah, unfortunately I'm not sure that there is a great way to deal with this situation. If you have an idea, I'm all ears. Edit: Actually, I just won't say which Accusation went where. That way at most this could clear one person for one person.
  10. Hmm, should members of the SPF be called (sun)Screeners?
  11. This made me think I'd be playing as Rayse this time around .
  12. Player List: Rule Clarifications:
  13. Welcome to round 2 of QF65! The complete rules can be found in doc form here, or in the spoilers below (note the inactivity filter!): And here is a schedule of events (the listed day is when that cycle starts): Signups will close at 5:00PM EST on Monday the 20th, and the game will start shortly afterwards. If you don't think you have the bandwidth to play as the Witness/Assassin/Co-conspirator, let me know in a PM or through Discord and I'll take that into consideration when building the distribution (no promises though). @Devotary of Spontaneity will be the IM for this game. Here is a link to the spreadsheet I will be using to run the game. Round 1 Player List (you need to sign up again, this is just to ping everyone): Quick Links: Pinch Hitters:
  14. As soon as the accusation had been voiced, Jatrim made himself scarce. It was clear that someone had witnessed his murder, and now his only hope lay in killing that person to cover his tracks. After some quick deliberation, Jatrim began stalking Jello, waiting for an opportune moment to strike. Just as he was slitting the Investigator's throat, a voice called out from the shadows, and the SPF rushed in, disarming Jatrim and healing Jello. As Jatrim was bound and led away, he saw the piercing gaze of Jounger Gerri following him, and knew that he'd missed the witness. The game is over, and congratulations to the Investigators for winning! My thoughts on my choices: I'm still very shocked that TKN got things correct, and was somewhat concerned that Mat would pick him out as the Witness. Hopefully everyone enjoyed this round, and let me know if you have any feedback that you think should impact how the second round is run. The next round will start at rollover time on Monday, and I'll put up signups in a bit. Elim Doc Spec Doc Player List:
  15. That is incorrect. I'll post an aftermath and signups for the next round sometime tomorrow.
  16. Yeah, just @ me and use bold red text. You are killing the person after all.
  17. Yes. Cycle 2.5 Jounger Gerry's accusation rang throughout the hall, and it immediately resonated with the other Investigators. Several SPF members were dispatched to Roshar, and after a short while one of them returned, having found the deceased ravaged by a Highstorm, their discarded weapon blown to the ground beside them. The Investigators noticed that Jatrim had fled, but he would not be able to escape their justice for long. Congrats to @The Known Novel for correctly solving the crime! However, the Assassin and his Co-conspirators have one final chance to escape justice. In the next 24 hours they must correctly guess the identity of the Witness. @Matrim's Dice, your timer has begun, and will end at 9 PM Eastern Time tomorrow. Player List:
  18. After poking around their strange collection of objects for most of a day, J'aman voiced his own suspicion that Jariel was the killer, citing the fellow's partly empty flask of acid as a potential murder weapon along with a Korathi pendant tucked into Jariel's back pocket. An immediate impression filled J'aman and the other SPFers' minds that the accusation was incorrect, and the other folks refused to make their own voices heard. Whether this was due to an unwillingness to press forward so early into the investigation, or for more... nefarious reasons, remained to be seen. The Ja, sensing his communication had been successful, refocused his will in an attempt to give an extra clue to the Investigators. The effort exhausted him, but perhaps someone had received the message. xino, Cinnamon, Wiz, Bookwyrm, and Shining all failed to post in C1, and have been removed from the game. Xino has been replaced by @Whysper, so welcome her to the game! I'm waiting to hear from Stick and any other pinch hitters, but after a bit I'll announce any other pinch-hitters and where Accusation attempts have been redistributed to. Remember that removed players can still be Accused (and removed as the Witness). Spreadsheet The cycle will end at 5PM Eastern Time on Sunday the 19th! Oracle Clues: Player List:
