  1. Is there a reason for that? Just to throw a wrench into things I’ll mention that I have 2 charges of Cultivation (you actually already knew that if you read my PM with Kas).
  2. I’m kinda confused why anyone thinks Hoid would have converted me after I advertised that I’d be very inactive for the first portion of the game. Unless Drake decides to murder everyone though it seems like the game is functionally over, so I suppose I won’t mind too terribly much if I get exed.
  3. I think the vote analysis shows that I was extremely checked out of the first 4 cycles of this game.
  4. I kinda think TJ is the last Hoidite, so I can vote him in good conscience.
  5. Well, TBB has been pretty adamant about being village, so we could exe him. But I’m pretty sure the game is going to end before anyone further can intent convert, so there’s not really a huge issue with shards going somewhere we don’t know. A third option would be to just not exe anyone. On a side note, Drake is giving off serious e!Aman vibes this game.
  6. It shouldn't be, there are 5 villagers running around (9 players minus Hoid, a convert, Drake, and JNV). JNV has no reason to align himself against the village here, and I don't think the Hoidites have a good reason to reveal themselves to protect Drake. In fact, as long as Drake is alive the Hoidites essentially cannot win, since they have no kill and would never be able to achieve their outnumber condition while Drake is in the game. So really the votes should come out to 7-3 or whatever if everyone shows up. Maybe 7-4 if JNV has weird reasons to get us to try and kill him as well.
  7. You know that Drake is capable of killing you, right? And that while he’s alive he might hit a Hoidite with his kill, which would bring the game closer to ending. So I’m pretty sure it’s in your best interest to vote Drake here.
  8. My win condition involves killing Drake. And at the point it’s probably just easiest to kill the 2 Hoidites rather than to recontain the shards.
  9. I guess I’d lean Hoidite here, if only because he’s in a limited pool of people that Archer interacted with. Like you say though, as things stand he’s dying, so that could be a boon for us.
  10. Well then. TBB. Drake. I’ll try to be in the neighborhood if it’s necessary to consolidate around EOD.
  11. Yes, my assumption is that I’m really out of the loop and don’t want to do something too stupid. I figured there is a reason I’m just missing, since nobody else was voting there.
  12. You're right in that I'm somewhat checked out of the thread, but I'm at least present enough to make sure a hammer doesn't get through. Is there a reason to not exe Drake? Hoid is still running around, so there doesn't seem to be any way for the game to imminently end, and Autonomy is a decent threat. I'm going to sheep Kas on TBB for now. Probably not a huge chance this vote moves. Looking at Archer and Fadran starting in D2, things I've noticed: Archer pointed out the meta thing about Szeth (which could be seen as a defense of TBB) Found this post: Archer went after Walin D3 Szeth looks pretty village from EOD on D3. I'm feeling a bit out of the loop, anyone have a feel for if Archer would have known a bunch of votes would pile on him at the start of D4? Seems like if he knew that then the TBB vote looks more like distancing. So yeah, I think TBB works, and maybe Turtle as a second option?
  13. Good points, and thanks for bringing them up, since I missed most of that stuff. Given all that the charitable reading seems to be a lot more plausible, and I agree with that interpretation,
  14. Why? Inactives don’t help you win. They kinda help you pretend that you haven’t lost, but folks not sending in actions or placing votes are functionally already dead. Honestly this reads like an elim getting worried about a shrinking POE. In my own defense, I’m not sure anyone would have converted me, given that I publicly declared I’d be busy for a lot of the game. But I’ll probably need a lot more than that to dig myself out of this hole.
  15. I’m still traveling, but will have some time tomorrow to try and think about the game. I’ll park a temporary vote on Elandera for now.
  16. Sorry everyone, was at a wedding/bachelor party the last couple of days and traveling in-between. I'll be getting home by (super late) Monday and should be able to start playing the game for real if I'm still alive then. Looks like I should have read past Archer's D1 when deciding on him.
  17. Out of curiosity, is anyone opposed to exeing Szeth (aside from having a different exe that they'd prefer)? Edit: Just saw Mat's post. @Matrim's Dice, can you point me to where you say why you think he's village?
  18. I'm pretty sure it's in character for me to grouch in a PM with Kas . And sure, I'll stick my vote on Szeth for now. Nothing new since last cycle though. I'm very fine with being exed btw. I don't feel my presence is vital enough to my team this game to make it worth fighting. Though it seems likely that the game will go on for a while, so maybe I'll live long enough to rock the boat a bit.
  19. *winces* Yeah, unfortunately my activity is about to get worse, so I can't really object too much to getting exed. I've got a couple of Prudence charges (missed my D2 action) and am planning to set up some PMs, which will hopefully help me get re-engaged in the game. Will work on a vote, since apparently there wasn't an appetite for Szeth.
  20. Apologies for my lack of participation so far. I kinda liked the point Archer made about Szeth bringing up meta things a few times. I agree that sort of discussion can be an easy outlet as an elim. I also strongly agree with the notion that someone should be exed today. I'll be back before EOD so I should be able to move my vote elsewhere if necessary to kill someone.
  21. I’m going to vote on STINK. I’m thinking a conversion role would want to encourage wariness toward releasing shards. I’m currently trying to think through how to actually play this game given all the alignment changing that’s likely to happen. It does appear to be more of a faction game, though exeing Hoid/Khriss right away would change that. My gut is that the bulk of this game is going to take place through actions/docs/PMs rather than in the thread, especially once things kick off a bit more.
  22. Well, my academics have to do with quivers, so I suppose that arrows will be my preferred method of execution.
