  1. I am twenty years younger! And still, I feel almost too old to see the cosmere in its full glory. The universe is so grandiose! On the other hand, Mr. Sanderson has an incredible pace of work. Constantly commiting books “accidentally” and planning to finish TSA #3 in a year and a quarter while working on tens of other projects. I must honestly say I admire the man.
  2. I just wonder: In the future, is any of the in-cosmere societies able to reach a power-level exceeding that one of the Shard that created them? Are they able to create (or at least gain access to) something at least equal to Adonalsium (as the people of Yolen did, I presume)? Or are they in some way limited?
  3. Kal's hatred towards lighteyes and Kell's hatred towards noblemen?
  4. What about Hoid having already held the whole of Adonalsium? (Then let go of it, found nobody to hold it in his place, divided it into equally powered fragments and… we know the rest. Yes, I know how crazy this hypothesis is.)
  5. Maybe Vasher secretly feeds the horses with Stormlight? After all, we know nothing about how long Vasher is over there.
  6. You get it, but it works for you like Colin's card from Fugitives of Chaos. I.e. your memory shuts down every time you look at the manual, making you remember nothing afterwards, as if the moment has never happened. I wish I could release anybody I want from their bane.
  7. Shame I can't put myself in a bubble and wait 'til these are released.
  8. And why is he using such a large font size? And monotype face? It's surely a teaser.
  9. Ok. After all, these are nothing more but conjectures.
  10. You can be right. But aren't the Unmade serving Odium?
  11. I find it too much optimistic, though. It could be, for example: The Way of Kings — 2010 Words of Radiance — 2014 Stones Unhallowed — 2017 volume 4, part I — 2020 (split for publication after failing to invent a new bookbinding method) volume 4, part II — 2022 volume 4, part III — 2024 Highprince of War, part I — 2027 Highprince of War, part II — 2029 Highprince of War, part III — 2032 ( )
  12. When I was reading TSA, it seemed to me like everyone hated everybody for no reason. If it's not Odium's influence, I don't know what it is. The Thrill might have been another example. Well, not everybody is keen on intervening and killing Odium — see the WOR epigraphs.
  13. Interesting. It reminds me, there's been a Polish fantasy novel called „Lód” (“Ice”), featuring a black counterpart of light, „ćmiatło” (“shlight”).
  14. I just wonder, has the Shin way of thinking about “savage” Easterners changed much between Prime and TWoK? If so, it is possible that they do know much more about Surgebinding and Shardblades than we see it, right?
  15. You mean, creating a skeleton from Hemalurgically-charged metal pieces?
  16. Well, somebody was killed with that needle anyway. Nobody said Hemalurgy is pure.
  17. What has the number of Hallandren gods? 25 (= 5×5) or am I imagining things? Don't know if it's relevant, but the number associated with Atium was 9 during TLR reign. (And 21 afterwards. Lerasium's number was 23.)
  18. Well, that makes at least another power: ability of destroying the world's supply of aluminum.
  19. Could such a needle be reused many times? Or would it just decay?
  20. Aluminium Gnat. Just for fun. (Well, what if the Gnats aren't just as underpowered as it seems and we have to rafo it?)
