  1. What if you injected water with metal flakes into your bloodstream using a Hemalurgically charged needle placed in a suitable Hemalurgic point? Could you burn the metal even if you are not the Misting / Mistborn?
  2. Just wondering — could Kelsier speak only to Allomancers, or to generic people as well?
  3. So what, was he modelling human figures from Lerasium and then investing them with BioChromatic Breath?
  4. Duh! Everybody knows that. We're speaking of Allomantic aluminum having that effect.
  5. Well, maybe they kept counting years the pre-ashworld way, so she was 15 earth years =~ 18 “ashworld years”? Or so I hope.
  6. I have a couple of questions. Excuse me, if already answered. 1. To create a Kandra or a Koloss, we need a metallic Spike that is already charged, right? If so, do we know, how are the Kandras' “Blessings” charged? 2. It is said that Kandras are “of Preservation”, whereas the Kolosses are “of Ruin” — I don't remember how exactly it was put. Was it only figurative, or is there any Shard-a-matic analogy? 3. Is it possible that the most important difference (or one of them) between the two creature types is that Kolosses' Spikes where charged by killing a person with the specific trait and Kandras' Spikes were charged with another, less “invasive” way (e.g. just by Cosmeric kind of Goddidit)?
  7. But still, the Mistborn trilogy is a comparatively short reading.
  8. Isn't it that Sazed/Harmony retconned the metal system, so Atium and Malatium would be no more in the original sixteen (exchanged by Cadmium and Bendalloy, for example)?
  9. But wouldn't be a Spinner able to trump a Seer, as well? I mean, the atium burner is able to predict what the Spinner is about to do and decide on the counteraction, but it doesn't mean that he can't fail to counteract. And the Spinner should be able to make the Seer fail with, say, 99% probability, right?
  10. After all, there already is Vin hentai. Well, it is only one image, but it is.
  11. If you Forged it, you would employ four, not three, magic systems. (Just kidding.)
  12. I mean that the problem itself is not the number of dimensions you want to present it in, just the number of possibilities. Just like a 4-dimensional Punnett "square" of 2×2×1,000,000×1,000,000 would be equally unpredictable to a regular 2-dimensional 4,000,000×1,000,000.
  13. If it were "a magic of none", then Metallurgy would fit… perfectly!
  14. I don't think so — as you have said, a Mistborn can't burn metal A to det ability B, so burning different metals somehow gets you different kinds of investiture. And, after all, remember that Ars Arcanum isn't equal to Word of Brandon.
  15. What about unordinary people? Would it be possible for a savant (a literal savant, not an allomantic one) to be born with a capability of understanding the ways to create the "special" alloys? Yes, I know it's cheating.
  16. But then wouldn't a 4-dimentional Punnett square equivalent to a normal Punnett square with the number of rows and columns squared? I.e. 2×2×2×2 → 4×4?
  17. I call it the forth, the fifth and (maybe) the sixth part of the first trilogy. [sic!]
  18. Either way, it's due to the changes in the genome. Radiation is making those changes happen more, much more frequently. To revert them, you would need to replace their DNA with some stored earlier. And it would functionally equal making yourself (a bit) younger than you were. Thus I presume healing acute radiation syndrome would need both feruchemical Gold and feruchemical Atium. (Or else — it doesn't follow real world rules, e.g. making you able to heal damages caused by what you perceive "sickness", but not by what you perceive "aging".) On the other hand, healing cancer (one instance of it) is another matter. You would need to just selectively destroy those cells with damaged genome (as it is done in real life). No replacement DNA needed. That's anyway just only as I perceive it.
  19. I was very surprised and excited at the end of each part of the trilogy.AoL not so much. But then, it's just an interlude. Dah, I knew about the two gods tricking each other and about the additional metals and various other stuff, but it didn't prevent me from any fun while reading the books.
  20. Is Newborn a new kind of Mistborn or Twinborn, just with some new investiture added? :3
  21. But are female Kolosses confirmed? Maybe they can breed, but only with human females?
  22. Would the Soothing Stations work if the Seekers in them were Steel Inquisitors? It would create a standard-type Coppercloud, which could not be pierced by an ordinary allomancer passing by, but would be pierced by the (Hemalurgically-empowered) Seeker inside, right? Or maybe the effect is different when the Seeker and the Smoker are the same person than when they are two?
  23. O, there is the chart expanded: It combines the most ancient set (the HoA symbols), the most recent one (the AoL symbols) and the feruchemical signs (for those metals that could be found). It seems that the last one is related, even if distant. Here is the same, but with the late order. (And reflecting the separate lines.)
