Well, crap. I'm done; I'm going to give voting a rest for the next time. Maybe I won't help a disaster this way. Sorry, Shiv. If your ghost wants to haunt me, I get where it's coming from.

Shiv, I was hoping to see that you would remain for no one, because then I could have believed you. But the key difference between how the villagers play and how the Spiked play, is every Spiked matters. Every villager doesn't. Even if you are a lurcher, then who cares! I mean, we could have both of you trained on Ping, so that he never dies. But then we're losing two villagers a day, with their killing and their coinshotting each taking a person down. If you want to accurately save someone, the lurching does nothing. And we already know that coinshotting is worse than useless, because we have to assume that they already have one lurcher, who can block our one coinshot. Giving them a Thug would be far worse than a lurcher. Shiv, if you were a villager, you should have known to take one for the team. Every innocent that we lynched did this. They shrugged it off, saying, you shouldn't do this, but that was the end. They did not change their initial stance to try and aid their survival. The one who did that was me, each time I was in the spotlight.

Oh, well that's great. So, heres what I vote on us doing: Ping, if there are any more coinshots, tell one of them, just one, to shoot me dead. Then, Shiv can lurch me. If I die, then I die, and we know that Shiv is a fraud. If I get double teamed, then I think we still learn that Shiv was telling the truth (Meta can confirm that). Meanwhile, we can kill neither Shiv nor Cassie until tomorrow, instead dedicating it to Herwynbe or whomever you feel like deserves it. What do you guys think? EDIT: Crap, just realized that if baldface gave you lurchiness, then you would still save me. Sorry, Shiv. There is no surefire way to check you out.

@Quiver: Wait, really? That's really cool, considering I know almost nothing of Star Trek.
-
That could be true. But you should also note that pretty much every normal Alethi that we have so far seen feels the Thrill as well. It doesn't care; it just wants blood.
-
Actually Ping, you're right; Shiv, what are you? What would we be losing if we killed you? (And also P.S.: If you are innocent, or if you are Spiked, you're trying way too hard. Like I did. In retrospect, it was easy to see who the baddies where based on who went quietly and who fought tooth and nail. If you look like me, then that's a bad thing. (As far as being me can be bad. ). I clung to life like nothing else, while Grayv and pretty much everyone else posted what? Two times?) EDIT: Also, not trying to be rude or patronizey at all. Just an obesrvation.

Sure, Quillion. Always happy to relate the experiences of the voices in my head. I guess what I'm saying is that escaping a lynching does not automatically prove someone innocent, and the reasons that we voted for him before are still just as valid. (I'm personally feeling that Herowynbe and Roban are both baddies. I could (almost certainly) be wrong, though).

Umm... Why would we do that? We've already seen that baldface has at least one power left. In fact, I say anyone claiming to be Seeker or (potentially) smoker are clean (as in not baldface). Its one of the "mistings", not a normal person. Also, we can safely see that baldface has not infiltratred Ping's command group, so they're all clean too. So Ping: Is there any nonseeker or nonsmoker misting who you do not trust and is not in your command group? Let's lynch 'em. But for now: My vote's still on Hero. EDIT: Here's another train of thought that I want to pursue. Now that we know two of the Inquisitorial powers, we can start to build a (WoR spoilers ) Pattern and extrapolate what the others are. The thing both the Uber seek and the Uber smoke have in common are how they get rid of any loopholes or weakness the normal powers would have. My best guess, of which I am almost certain, would be an "uber riot", where the INquisitor's vote is not replaced. By this thought, I would guess that there is no uber soothe, as well as uber lurch, uber tineye, or uber pewter. Of course, there could always be feruchemical.

Oh hey! It's time to vote! Sorry, Herowynbe. Literally, your survival smacks too much like mine for me to want you to live. And in this vote, I know for sure Roban will be with me.

Yeah. I was a long time lurker (like at least two years) but I joined in November I think, after Brandon said I should at a signing. (Yeah, it basically took Direct WoB to delurk me. Not sure what to make of that...)
-
Umm... I'm glad to see people liking my suggestion. @Herowynbe: I believe that Cessie said this, but conversation kills the Spiked. Mailliw showed my a discrepancy in my dialogue from the last game, that if anyone had noticed, would have killed me. Also, Ping hasn't told us anyone yet, and I don't want to be forced to rely on him, as that killed Shimble. @Dyring: Color's fun. Everyone knows that. (And for the list makers, it should make it a little bit easier).

I get all of your reasoning, Quiver, except for the one thing: Don't tell us what you are. Tell Ping. And this is a request to everyone. I don't want you to tell us what you are. Just tell us that you've told Ping. I swear, there are still a significant amount of people holding out info to him. And 'twould be sooo much easier if everyone just went out and told him. So here's what I'm asking: If you've told Ping, write your name in purple. Barty Spiked. EDIT: And please, please, for the love of Harmony - don't say what you are.

Signed & Numbered Copies of Words of Radiance
bartbug replied to Argent's topic in Stormlight Archive
Sorry about my lack of knowledge about this, but what does the numbering add to the coolness of the book? There's a signing nearish to my house two days after release, but I would just be getting the signature. It's a lot cheaper this way, too. Is there an actual difference? -
Alright guys. This one is for you. A note before you read this is that Swimmingly is the one who made the discovery. I just think that a different title for the post might spread the word more, and I want to get reactions. So. In the google play or the ibooks version of the Emperor's Soul, there is now a deleted scene, featuring none other than our one and only Hoid taunting Shai. From this point on, I'm going to assume that you've read this, because it's pretty much canon. First off, I'm now positive that we will see Shai again, and I'm even more certain that she has a fascinating backstory of deep cosmerical relevance. Also, I'm curious as to what the Scepter entails, and I'm curious to what timeline the Emperor's Soul is in, and where it stands in relation to Elantris. Is it possible that Hoid was only in Elantris because it was on the way? But I digress. Onward, to one bonus, swaggilicious, chapter of Sanderson, with Hoid as you've seen him before, and you will see him many times hereafter!

[Deleted Scene] Emperor's Soul Google Play ebook
bartbug replied to Swimmingly's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Whoot! Thanks, Swimmingly! -
As my master demands, I obey. I live to serve my lord Mistborn. Barty feels a strange compulsion fall upon him. Unwillingly, he draws a knife from its sheathe and begins to sharpen it. Barty is horrified. Barty has never held a knife in his life. "But Beetle has," he whispers, a sneer belonging to another crawling across his face. Inside of himself, Barty breaks down helplessly, weeping. Eddy.

I just let you think that you started it. In all ernestness though, I concur in that it has been far too long since someone has died. Let the blood flow, baby! Err... Inquistorial blood, I mean. It's probably all orange from rust. Ooh, that would be cool.

The Shin know more than we know them to know
bartbug replied to makromag's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think that this could very well lead into the whole, Shin-made-a-deal-with-the-Devil(Opium) theory, the basis of which being that the Shin do bad stuff in order to keep their land good. I kind of buy into it. -
Hey Gamma... I didn't get into that group, I STARTED that group. And just curious, but how many of you guys have been PM'ing each other? I actually haven't done a lot. We have the "old spiked group", but that was really more for fun than anything, especially since Mat hasn't shown up, and Aether and I don't know if we can trust each others. Has that been a big thing for you in this game?

Hey, how come we've left Wes be? I mean, just because he made it off of the chopping block once, doesn't mean that he isn't guilty. (Or in my case, thrice. )
