  1. Yeah, I'm thinking he might actually completely "switch sides". Like, he felt he had to go the red god path because of his broken halo, there was nothing else for him to do, really. But now he can start being badass again, who knows? He's going to do whatever the hell he wants.
  2. I'm thinking Peng will have to eventually post his info up here for us. I dont think he'll survive the night, honestly. If I were the Inquisitor, I would have given my convert Coinshot (heres hoping the conversion didn't work). But let's assume he did. So tonight, if I were the Spiked, I would send in two Coinshot attacks at Peng, and then use our night order to attack him as well. I don't think we have three lurchers. So unless Peng draws Pewter tonight... I don't think he'll live. So before that happens, we may need that info public. But really, there's nobody Peng can even trust, realistically. So.... yeah. I have no idea how to proceed from here. And I guess I'll agree, if we're going to hang somebody today, might as well be one of the inactive players. edit: oooh. That could work out very awesomely, or backfire so bad. How hilarious would it be if Peng sends the list to one of the Spiked? You could send the info to three people to make sure at least one legit person gets the info and spreads it to the group, on the very off chance one or both of the other two are Inquisitors. BUT then sending it to three people increases the risk of an Inquisitor getting that info. Which if Peng dies, then we're basically screwed anyway. By Rust and Ruin, Meta! This game is entertainingly difficult!
  3. Oops. Broken Eye is Number 3, huh? I always mix up the names of that series, for some reason. So, yeah. My bad. Not Broken Eye. The Blinding Knife.
  4. Really? UberBronze?! That is some serious stuff. Especially if we consider the fact that all of their other powers are beefed up. But thank the Survivor nobody died! And that Tineye poem is hilarious, by the way. Very well done. There is definitely some cryptic stuff in that text. .... and now we're back from our interruption, and can continue savagely deciding who has to die next.
  5. The night was quiet. The mists had started coming in as soon as the sun started to set, slowly creeping in at first, and then rushing in like a wave that finally busted through a dam.The mists swirled and danced with intensity, a power seeming to flow through the air like static electricity in the air. This tension was felt among the small group of people still left at the bar. All nights, conversations had been subdued and there was an anxious energy buzzing throughout the room. There was the occasional murmur from the corner where Aether sat going over his lists with Wilson, teaching her the secrets of the trade. There had been some spirited discussion earlier in the night - when the mists had first started coming in - but as they came in heavier, the day seemed to weigh more and more on the minds of everyone. Gamon sighed and finished another mug of ale. He lost count of how many he had already had. What did it matter? They were going to be sitting ducks tonight anyway. He watched as Quillion leaned in and whispered something in Cessie's ear, somewhat unsettling her, and then he walked off into the night, the mists swirling around him as he opened the door and disappeared into the fog. He was at a loss of what to do. The village was slowly starting to tear itself apart, suspicion and mistrust quietly sowing it's way among them. And when the morning came? Who knew what this Inquisitor could do? Gamon remembered all the nasty rumors he had heard over the last year, the secrets of the Steel Ministry slowly leaking out and spreading across the land. Surely the stories of them being able to convert people over to their side were just fanciful myths? He could barely handle the thought of one of those spike-eyed bastards slinking around amongst them. But having another one to worry about? He shivered and signaled for another drink. It was going to be a long night, and Gamon just quietly sat there, hoping for the familiar sight of the red morning sun to come quickly.
  6. Well dang it. Now Wilson will get converted. The spiked showed us last game: They whom control the lists, control the game"
  7. Have seekers do their business over night? Hope most of us are still here in the morning? Wait and see who's left before we start discussing our next votes.
  8. Just a reminder, my vote was still for Wes, even though I voiced heavy suspicion of Shimble. Yeah, those suspicions were wrong. And while I still back and will still back whoever Peng votes for, he can't just take a list of people who have given him roles and try and pick off the unimportant people. That's just going to deprive us of potential un-snapped. All it takes is the inquisitor messaging Peng saying he has an important role and using the power. We can't know until he gets seeked (assuming he isn't smoking himself) Aonars post just ninja'd in as I'm typing this saying basically the same thing. So while Shimble's death was unfortunate, you can't really fault people for voting for him after quite a few people voiced their suspicions of him. While we should all follow Peng, we need to do so comfortably and not just based on whim. But it looks like Peng has been pretty busy though, so that's a bummer.
  9. But we're not trying to kill unimportant, regular people. We're trying to kill the Inquisitor, and that can really only be done at this point by just following gut suspicions. Your suspicions aren't better than anybody else's at this point. It was a fairly close split. The fact remains, unless Peng comes out and said somebody is 100% Seeked and Verified then anybody's roles they've claimed is circumspect. Peng only gave us a random target with no real conviction. (And you see I still followed with Pengs decision and voted for Wes anyway). So yeah, this sucks we've lost some of our best roles first (again), it's not really a good idea to start saying someone's made any better decisions than anybody else so far. We still don't know crap.
  10. Gamon was stunned. Why do I have a feeling of deja vu? he asked himself? This felt too familiar.... the suspicion and betrayl, the angry mobs, and the deaths of innocents. Survivor forgive us. he silently prayed. He was simply too shocked to do anything. How? Was all he kept asking himself. Edit:OOC- well..... crap. I guess Shimble did try warning us. :/ But there was nothing really we could have done better. The game is about guess work. Now we just have to keep our heads extra low. And now we have to consider Wes or not. If he was telling the truth and he's just a regular villager, then there's no point in really gunning for him anymore. Uh, Peng? Where do we go from here? Lead us, O' Lord of the Mists!
  11. Yeah, it looks like I slept through the deadline. Oops (Dang sun resetting itself in the sky). Not that it matters really, looks like things have swung pretty heavily against Shimble. (where IS our Mistborn, btw?)
  12. I started the The Lies of Locke Lamora over a month ago, and immediately loved it. I had a few other book projects going, but I just finished Republic of Thieves. I really, really like the Gentlemen Bastard world. It is very well crafted. Scott Lynch has done some amazing work, and this wait is going to suck for Thorn of Emberlain. Am currently a decent chunk into A Wise Man's Fear, and Kvothe's world is awesome. I love the blend of magic and tech going on here. Also, can't wait for the next Lightbringer Series book. The Broken Eye was absolutely fantastic, love what Brent Weeks has been doing. Edit: crap, my bad. Not Broken Eye. I meant Blinding Knife, book 2. Sorry, lol
  13. I think it works like: he can always use his "Kill Player" Night time activity. And then I see it as, he has then one possible power to use. OR he can instead convert somebody. Being able to Kill and Coinshot somebody every night is pretty devastating (unless they're a one time use?), but being able to convert on top of that would be horribly brutal. Another question: Does the person he convert get a night time action as well? Or do they have to wait til morning? (Ya know, take baby steps, get used to their new spiked-eye vision?) Edit: I just friggin' KNEW Meta was gonna RAFO on us. Edit 2: Yeah, seems like there is quite a bit of Shamble suspicion. So basically all up to Peng at this point, depending on what he says when he gets on. And yeah, I agree with Herwynbe, since Shamble all but said he has a power that is very useful, if he's not the Inquisitor, he'll be killed tonight for sure. So if his death is all but inevitable, we might as well deprive the Inquisitor from being able to steal his power tonight.
  14. That's the thing. everybody can trust Peng. Peng can't trust anybody. Anybody can be messaging him claiming any role they want. we know that ONE person for a fact is going to do this. Now Peng has to try and find out who out of like 25 people is lying to him. Anybody can claim a role, and then if we get a chance to prove it, then great. But the Inquisitor has ALL the powers. So he just messages Peng saying he is [X] (making sure it's probably a strong role to ensure being used) and then just uses that said power when asked to prove it. Repeat: peng having us use our powers confirms NOTHING. Just that the Inquisitor does, in fact, have the power we all already know he has access to. Edit: Unless a Seeker has confirmed somebody being a Good Guy and told Peng. then all Peng needs to say is Publicly: "He is one of us" Savvy? Double Edit: I've now decided I want to be a Pirate for the next game.
  15. "Um, guys?" Gamon asked, heavily confused. "Is it just me.... or is it Noon again? I swear it was just twilight...." He shakes his head and dismisses what he thinks he just saw. There's no WAY that huge, far red sun could just reverse and go back into the sky. That was craziness. OOC: Ok. So. Looks like some good debates going. Unfortunately, we all have to be on the same page. Otherwise the Inquisitor will take advantage of the riff. Frankly, we have to start killing, even if it's at the risk of killing an innocent. That's all this game is, is taking the chances and hoping you made a good guess. At least, this early on and with this many players... chances of actually hitting the Inquisitor are still tremendously low. And I feel for you Wes, not wanting to die. I'd be arguing against mob-rule just as much as you if I were in the crosshairs. And this is going to sound cold. Like, real cold. But since Wes has been so kind as to tell us about him being a Regular Villager... he is technically our best bet to kill without empowering the Spiked. We'll at least know if we kill him, the Inquisitor won't have a power to spike someone with tonight or tomorrow. And I would not be voting for him if I thought we had a better lead. Personally, I heavily suspect Shamble at this point. Just ever since the beginning of the game he has flopped on quite a few points, always seeming to try and go with public sway. Half of the suggestions he's made are fairly weak and seem like they'd eventually let the Inquisitor know crucial information, or just things that would work in their favor. Heavy accusations I know, but it's still just suspicion, and nothing definite. But my eye IS on you, Shamble, just a warning. Unfortunately, a vote for him would achieve nothing, so sorry, Wes. But my vote is for you. We just have to stay with Peng's decisions right now. My reasoning for why Peng is ALMOST 100% legit Mistborn.... the fact nobody else has stepped forward claiming to be one is evidence enough for me. And if the Seekers had a problem, they would have almost guaranteed said something. (Seems like more than a few people have suspected Shimble so far, and I already messaged Peng earlier in the day before those accusations started flying, really, so ask him if you want proof I'm not just 'jumping on the suspicion bandwagon'.) BUT, if votes do start happening for Shimble, since there are at least suspicions for him, I recommend Peng and everybody change to him. We do have another 12 hours to figure this out though. (Good call on the extension, BTW) Edit: Strikethrough'd what Wilson pointed me out on, good point. My mistake, lol.
  16. "well no wonder Peng can afford to buy drinks for us...." Gamon said, a bit distracted. It seemed things were starting to heat up, and the accusations were starting to fly. But the mistborn can buy us all off with ill gotten funds.... He shouldn't grumble though. He was still alive, for now. Although that Dyring did seem pretty suspicious of him. It wasn't Gamon's fault he was better looking than the innkeeper. That obviously must be the reasons for his suspicions, just jealousy. Nothing else. Although my call for people to start voting who to lynch, and me rabble-rowsing with that unsavory group last night aren't working in my favor, I bet... I already voiced my suspicions to Peng. There's really not much to go on so far. We're eventually going to have to bite the bullet and have one of us hang.
  17. While I agree with the idea we shouldn't randomly kill people, and at the risk of sounding like the Inquisitor... we're supposed to be killing people more or less at random right now. That's the whole point of the game. So while I want us to play it all safe and try and be smart about our decisions, at one point we're just going to have to start taking chances and move the game forward, and that unfortunately means picking more people to kill off (and making the Inquisitor stronger). for every day we don't start voting, those are more opportunities we are losing on clues to finding the Spiked's Identity. With that said, I have a feeling people will just start voting for me now, but eh. Whatevs. It's a risk we need to take. (I still don't have any hardcore suspicions yet, so I'm not casting a vote as of yet, but I will by the end of the cycle)
  18. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely DawnChant Band?
  19. Inventor? Sounds like an Artifabrian on Roshar to me. Could totally have fabrials and stuff in Stormlight Elimination.
  20. Gamon was trying to wash his hangover away. With water - blessed, pumped-full-of-antidote water. He felt worse than a Koloss looked. And he felt like he looked like one, too. Why did he stoop so low as to go drinking with that ragged street urchin? Babbling his incoherencies. That gruel they were drinking last night got him so loaded, he didn't even try making a pass at that noble woman they were drinking with. Guess I do have more important things to worry about, he thought morbidly. There was still a killer in their midst. And with apparently half the group having those strange night time powers, there were even more of them at risk. He sighed and ordered another glass of water, kind of wishing it was something stronger. This is going to be a long day. And I don't even have a clue who to suspect yet!
  21. Was just doing some thinking, will need a bit more fleshing out but here goes: What about some Kandra based Elimination? Not sure exactly how it'd work yet. With the different Blessings, making those into usable roles. Maybe their can be a secret third faction or something of Kandra? Blessing of Awareness, akin to tin, message sending? Potency is like pewter? Presence could be another stretch and make that seeking or something? And then I guess Stability some sort of emotional allomancy resistance. If games get big and there are multiple Kandra factions, Kandras can kill eachother at night and steal the Blessings from the kandra the killed. An alternate win condition is a Kandra gets all four types of blessings? I dunno, could be something cool. How do you guys think we could make this work?
  22. Not as rigid as 1, but not as glowy as 2. But thats just me. I do like the third style, but that seems more of like a 'retro'ish style. Everything looks really good though, great work! Keep it up. Edit: Thought about doing any of the stylized Icon headings in Way of Kings for all of the Heralds? (and the Masked Man, too, cause that would be the coolest)
  23. Oh I know that the numerology between King and Sanderson are different. Especially considering Sanderson's has been planned the whole time, and King's was definitely more after the fact and something he later tied in. I was just curious for what has been influencing sanderson for this. And yeah, I noticed 10 was pretty big on Roshar too. Quick question, how many planets are there in the cosmere? Is it 10? And, as always, So long, and thanks for all the fish.
