  1. So when did I lie about those votes? I believe I said early on who I was going to put positives on. I can find the post later if you’d like. Also, what do the number mean? (12/30 and all that)
  2. I asked about that bc of the whole “maybe the elims killed Araris so coco could be prefect” thing. Has nothing to do with Hufflepuff. In that same vein was Mist prefect?
  3. He does, yeah. @The Unknown Medallion is that accurate? And if it is, why so confident? I think that would make you the only person confident in my villagerness. Or did you just assume Aman is evil and go from there since you voted him -3? So yeah that particular interaction does feel very strange. But tbh I’ve been getting weird vibes. Just didn’t want him out yet.
  4. Doesn't prefect selection come before exe? @Archer can you confirm this? Not really tbh. I do (maybe) have stronger village reads than him and am actually slightly sus of him, but I wanted to see what he would do/how he would react as one of the top people. He’s not been super outspoken so far either in pm or thread so I wanted to see him doing a bit more. But also I don’t have any very strong reads atm. This seemed like a good way to get a stronger read. That plan didn’t really work tho, since he didn’t get anything. I assumed more people would plus vote him. I’ve been shading you a bit but what you’re saying does make sense and I didn’t want you exed because I figured if you are village you’d be good to keep alive. And I figured you might be a top candidate. Same thing you were doing with Araris a bit, adding votes to try keeping him alive. Nobody was claiming votes in our pm, unless I missed something (which I don’t think I did)
  5. Sure. Or a falsely accused villager. It’s what anyone would say, I’d imagine. Anyway what variety of reaction were you hoping to get? And was it from me or from others?
  6. Well ig if we’re all claiming our spells, I have Expelliarmus, which allows me to kill all the elims via plot armor. I’ll be using that this cycle, you’re welcome Uh anyway actually on topic - Araris isn’t too much of a surprise I feel. Unfortunate since he would have been a good villager to have with us but not too surprising. Mist is though. I assumed the elims would leave the smaller houses alone at the start especially after Aman brought up the odds there. Ig he was too dangerous to be left alive somehow? Might need to have a look at who he was sussing. Or maybe they just chose at random someone who’s fairly good at the game. So, if you have that, why would you lie about who you scanned? In my admittedly limited experience I’ve found when claiming to have scanned an elim it’s generally a good idea to actually claim who you scanned. Also, if this is accurate and he did scan me, this is a straight up lie and Aman is an elim. In that case this is also a terrible play.
  7. Yes, at least in my mind since you were listing basically the chance of hitting an elim if there was one in that house, and since Hufflepuff is the highest chance the most logical takeaway is that you think we should be voting for one. But you have explained why that was not your intention since, so I dont think it’s an issue.
  8. You didn’t but that was the most obvious extrapolation from what you did say Anyway about to put in my votes, negatives going on Araris and Hopper for now. May add another later but probably not.
  9. I’m not entirely sure yet. I do want to keep it in Slytherin hot unfortunately those are the ones I’m most sus of in Slytherin. I’ve been thinking about it though. I’ll try to at least keep one Slytherin in there and then probably go for other houses for the other two with people I’m a bit more actively sus of. Might end up being TwinStorm, Hopper, someone else. Pluses will likely stay the same as I said earlier but we’ll see. I’ll give a definitive list (without numbers tho) before end of cycle. I still think that could give the elims an easy way to manipulate the vote but I’m willing to share if that’s what it takes.
  10. I would argue that sharing votes ahead of time makes it easier for the elims to manipulate the vote. Especially since we’re not sharing exact numbers. They could very easily vote for someone different/put more points than assumed on someone and completely throw off what we think the train will be. Yeah exactly. We can all agree on our lowest but I don’t think we should be doing too much more than that since that just makes it easier for the elims to throw things off. And since we’ll find out who everyone voted next cycle anyway it doesn’t matter all that much.
  11. That is controversial. And interesting. I definitely see your point that a lot of people hopping onto a certain train probably means the elims are comfortable with that train going through. Curious who you’d like to exe instead? I…actually didn’t realize that was the group mainly being sussed (until you mentioned it) That’s a me not reading well enough error. After seeing how many people are on those trains, I’m actually less inclined to vote there. I think we all learned how dangerous big consensus like that can be in the last game. It would be very easy for the elims to jump on a train like that. Or mess up the trains we think are happening .
  12. Current position is…struggling because I’m bad at social reads I don’t want to exe any of the new players this cycle (almost said loop wow). That seems to be a pretty common sentiment. I also think we should probably exe a Slytherin today. We are the largest House so highest chance of hitting an elim. New players within that group…just Emperor I think? So then my thoughts on the rest of the group: TUM: I am a tiny sus of him (not much tho) but hesitant to exe right away since from what I’ve seen he is not usually super active at the beginning, which is what’s making it hard for me to pin down a read. So that could be misleading me a bit. He also seems to be having similar thoughts to me around Aman. TwinStorm: Seems to be mostly going off vibes, which is fine and what we have to do today. I mostly agree with said vibes. (Side note Twin you mentioned something about me going for prefect but not seeming like much of a leader. I’ll be honest the main reason I put myself in the running is rp purposes bc Vera absolutely would. But that extra credit spell does also seem appealing. Just haven’t been super active so far. That should change soon) Araris: Mildly suspicious mostly because I feel like he has been in thread and said some things but just nothing stood out to me as being particularly either helpful or controversial. (I may have missed something tho). Feels a bit odd. Also, don’t love his reasoning for putting himself up for prefect. I think most people know not to underestimate you so. What? Wahr: Immediately gets defensive when he is voted for, which has gotten him voted out before. He knows this and I see no reason why he would do that if he is an elim and trying not to get voted. He hasn’t done much analysis but I know he tends to be more mechanically minded and since there’s pretty much nothing to go off of with that it makes sense to me he hasn’t been doing much. Doc: I know I should never trust Doc. But he does feel fairly village to me so far. It’s very hard for me to get a good read on him especially given I don’t know what his villager playstyle is. Qian: Feels village. I like the questions he’s asking and the points he’s bringing up. Sorry yall that’s a large block of text isn’t it? Oops. Anyway I think atm my negative votes will maybe go on Araris, TUM, Aman. Not necessarily in that order. And that’s really just because I’m trying to vote within Slytherin, I think the ones I’m more sus of rn are actually outside of that group. But we do have the highest chance of hitting one within Slytherin so I’m going to vote there today. Positives are probably Qian, Mist, Twin. That being said there is almost a full day left in the game so my opinions might change. I’m curious why these are your picks? Especially Wahr since everything I’ve seen from him so far is in line with his village playstyle.
  13. Hm. Well that does make things a bit more complicated, since I like the logic you’re going with here. I may have to revise my votes a little bit. Still don’t fully trust you but this does make sense as a strategy.
  14. Aww thanks also very valid Current thoughts are I feel like some of what Aman is saying is a bit off—kinda feels performative rather than genuine (the vote thing especially with saying you’re voting for one person and then saying you may not actually be voting them). @Amanuensis I’m curious what you think you can get out of this, as my understanding is that we will know all of your votes by next cycle, and therefore who your actual susses and clears are. Trying to throw off the elims with this will only work for the first cycle, so what’s the point? Will post more (and more in depth) later after I’m off work. I have thoughts but so far I’ve just been spending my breaks catching up instead of writing posts lol.
  15. That is true this first cycle is really just about vibes, even more than usual. We don’t even know what’s going on with people’s votes. So we’ll have a bit more solid an idea next cycle but for now there’s not much we can actually tell, mechanics wise.
  16. For the first time, Vera’s easy demeanor drops, her expression growing serious and contemplative. “I…don’t know. I’ve never heard of anything like this happening before. Ghosts aren’t supposed to be corporeal. You’re not supposed to be able to even touch them, much less kill them! So even if it was a prank, how did they manage it? Something like that would require powerful magic. Maybe there’s something in the library we could find. Surely this isn’t the first time a ghost has been killed. That would probably be in the Restricted section though. We might have to sneak in. Whatever we end up doing, I don’t think we should tell the first years. The last thing we need is a bunch of panicked kids running around trying to solve this too and getting themselves hurt.”
  17. Who’s in Ravenclaw? Have I just missed a claim somewhere?
  18. Okay wow there’s a lot going on, sorry I’ve missed so much lol. Been at work all day. So from skimming I’m getting that House choices are not a sign of who’s elim or not since elims were informed of their role after Houses were formed. That makes sense. I do think it also makes sense to exe a Slytherin today, there are too many of us to statistically not have at least one elim in the mix. Not sure who yet, I’ll get on that soon. I think it’ll definitely be important for us to both solve within our PM and within thread, and ideally to share some of our in-house solving with everyone else. We have an interesting dynamic here with basically mini threads added on to the main one, and it seems like something that could happen is neglecting one in favor of the other, so we should try to avoid doing that, as well as making sure everyone knows why we’re voting for some particular person if that decision came from something said in a PM.
  19. I know of four I think, me, doc, wahr, qian but there may have been more I missed
  20. Vera briefly glances at the commotion, decides against going to investigate, choosing instead to lead the first years to the common room in an attempt to show how good of a Head Girl she would be (hint hint my fellow Slytherins) ”Hey! Slytherin first years follow me! I’ll show you how to get into the common room.” She waves her hand in the air as she shouts to get their attention, and once a small crowd has formed around her, she begins leading them toward the dungeons.
  21. Hey, the inter House rivalry with Gryffindor and Slytherin needs to stay strong
  22. “No, they do seem to be having trouble getting their years straight. How odd. Though I suppose it does take a little extra flair to arrive fashionably late like us, rather than just late, like all the rest. I do hope we get some of them. We could use some new blood. The one with the cape does seem promising. The other one is almost certainly a Hufflepuff though. Or a Gryffindor. I certainly hope not a Gryffindor, he’d probably just become so infuriating like all the rest of them.” She adds an exaggerated shudder at the end of this line. Seeing Trance looking in their direction, Vera sends a little wave over to him. “Good luck!” She calls.
  23. Vera looks on with amusement as Orry falls on his face. “He appears to have gone mad,” she remarks to Azalea, in a tone and volume that makes it clear she wants everyone to hear. “Thinks he’s a first year again? How ridiculous.”
