LG112 - Pseudocycle Three: No Spoilers
coco.pudding replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
hey folks, sorry I haven’t been super active today. I’ve been packing for my trip and of course I procrastinated to the last minute so I’m super busy today speaking of that, this is the last cycle I’ll be able to be at my usual activity level. After this I’ll have considerably less time and it will be at specific times throughout the day. But I will still be somewhat active if I can. So it’s clear to me that there are two pseudoGMs. One is likely village and one is likely elim. I do not know who changed me. I find it somewhat concerning that Hoid does. As I said earlier, I am willing to put in the kill on whoever y’all think would be best. I’m still unsure on the elim bet so if y’all have ideas, I’d love to hear it. Okay, same reasoning can be applied to you though. I’ve been sus of Hoid for a while, especially after how much he’s been defending Myst. I don’t like that he knows who turned him (that implies he asked for it, and I do think based on what’s been happening the last few cycles actively wanting to be a coinshot is kind of suspicious. (Yes Striker I’m looking at you too, sorry) Hoid -
LG112 - Pseudocycle Three: No Spoilers

Yeah, so this is true. I was converted. I am rather confused as to why I was converted, and I am assuming it’s either a frame (in the event of elim pseudoGM) or a reaction test of some sort (in the event of village pseudoGM). I understand that this will make people suspicious of me. I will point out that this would be a catastrophically stupid move to make when the elims don’t know who the pseudoIM is (and I don’t know why they would assume there isn’t one in the game, that doesn’t make sense. If it’s on the role list, why wouldn’t there be one?). Ig TJ could be a meta elim and that’s why they were confident, but in that case, why out me? (Although I don’t think TJ is meta elim anyway so that’s kind of a moot point) Anyway, I am happy to coordinate my kills with whatever the village consensus is. That was my plan anyway when I saw the role, I just wanted to do it in pms instead. I think that having essentially three ways to get rid of people in the pseudogame could be useful. I am also willing to not kill if yall want. -

I could be down for either, I think the question though is which side do we think the meta elims bet on. Bc if we think they bet elim (which is what you were saying last cycle, right?) we should probably get going on exeing elims, but if we think they bet village, then exeing villagers is going to be our best bet. So assuming elim bet, we should exe TJ, and assuming village bet, we should exe mippo. Yeah I don’t particularly like Striker’s vote switch there. Or his actions in the pseudogame so far, with the whole investiture hoarding thing. I could be down for a Striker exe, but it would depend on both how Ver flips, and then again, which side we think the elims bet on bc we kinda have to get going on that. -

LG112 - Metacycle Two: Under New Management

TJ or Hoid could be interesting. I’ll be wanting to look closer at TJ if Myst flips village, and Hoid if Myst flips elim. But that’s a next cycle problem. I agree that the Myst exe might not be the best choice. But it is what seems to be happening. And I’d prefer information (how Myst flips) to none (no exe means we learn nothing). Although I also don’t love how uncontested it’s been so far by anyone except Myst himself and Hoid. -

Bc I didn’t like his reasoning And I think it’s fishy that he just “happened” to kill an elim when the general consensus at the time was “the meta elims bet on a village win.” And I agree with the logic that exeing him here gives us good information. Whichever way he flips will tell us something useful. And he can still talk in thread after, so if he isn’t an elim, he can still provide useful information and strategy ideas. Also, I think an exe is better than no exe, and he’s the only option that can actually win right now. -

It’s bc he lied about his role and about killing Xino. He has since explained his reasoning, but still. -

Do you not? I’d say it’s pretty obvious -

Okay so I think the obvious question here is @Myst why’d you lie about your role? -
I don’t know. I was thinking village but apparently there’s some good reasoning for it to be elim, which I’ve been promised will be shared next cycle. So I’m rather confused also (that’s lowkey why I haven’t started any trains or anything like that this game, I genuinely don’t know what the strategy should be for voting and it’s kind of frying my brain) I do think we should do Myst today and then exe Hoid next cycle. Only because I think Myst is lying and if we wait until next cycle there’s a very good chance the pseudoGM changes his role and then we never know if he is lying or not unless the pseudoIM comes forward.
-
He’s seemed village to me too. But I don’t like that he’s (probably) lying about his role. And I didn’t like his reaction to the accusation of said lying. A villager really has no reason to lie about this. Yes. But. If we don’t exe Myst today his role probably gets changed and we never know if he’s lying. So we should come back to the Hoid exe next cycle. Girl what about me? I’m here too!
-
Huh. That is quite the theory. Ig I could see that. It would depend on them wanting a pseudo elim victory though, which has not been the general consensus by my understanding. SLAYER!!! (sorry Ik I’m not the Slayerman but I have to know if this is the right reference) okay I see some people have already mentioned ren faires. This is good. We’ve been working under the assumption that there’s a mole this whole time.
-
I can also attest to this. Unfortunately it doesn’t prove that that “better use” wasnt killing Xino. We can’t prove that Myst is a lurcher or coinshot without exeing him Me personally I think he’s probably lying so Verdance Myst (I still want to come back to Ver later, I do think exeing the meta elims in pseudogame is a good idea. But I agree with the whole “mysts role could get changed to frame the claimer” thing so this has to be now. We can exe Ver in the next cycle.)

Yeah so someone confided to me in pms that they were a Spiked and were thinking about which world they might want to destroy. They were leaning toward Scadrial and I agreed that seemed like a dangerous world to keep around, especially considering the discussions about investiture funneling happening on Nalthis. I am fairly sure this person is meta-village, just based on the way they have acted both in pms and thread. I would rather not expose them unless they would like to come forward since it was shared with me in confidence. The only reason I shared this information in the first place is because it seemed useful as context when we were talking about Scadrial’s destruction. I gotta say this feels a bit hypocritical. Earlier in the same post you said one vote isn’t enough and now you don’t like me adding a second vote? Yeah that would suck. Although tbh that’s probably the case regardless of who is an elim bc so few people are active.
