Lilith had been wandering through the forest for...she didn't know how long. All Lilith knew was that she couldn't continue for much longer. She had told herself that many times before, but this time it was most likely true. Lilith stumbled over the root of a gnarled tree and fell face-first into the dirt. She considered not getting up. She could just...rest here, for a little while, couldn't she? But what was left of Lilith's mind seemed to urge her to get up, to keep on going, for just a little longer. That piece of Lilith's mind made her get up. Or she simply listed to its advice. She wasn't sure. And so, disheveled and caked with dirt, sweat, and blood, Lilith used trembling arms to lift herself up and get back on her feet. When she did, some of the grime was washed away by joyous tears as she took in the sight of the clearing before her.
