    Well, I’m off to High Adventure

    We’re doing a survival “alone” type thing.

    And having the internet at your fingertips kinda ruins that.

    As such, I won’t be on the Shard till some point on July 2nd.

    Please don’t spam me with too many notifs, I’d like a chance to have some understanding of what’s happening.

    How? I spend the majority of my time in SE. I only pop out between games and when I’m dead.

    FSY is great yall, if you didn’t go this year(and assuming you’re within the age requirements), you should definitely go next year. *Spoiler because I talk a lot* So yeah. FSY is great, and if you can go you should. It’s an amazing experience. Or if you’re too old, become a counselor, that’s an option too. It’d be a really cool summer job(I’m debating doing it after I return from my mission) That said, this only really works if you write it all down. I looked through my 2024 FSY Handbook yesterday and there was literally nothing in there other than a few drawings of stick figures. Go to FSY if you can, I love you all, and have a great week(I got high adventure tomorrow and won’t have my phone)

    Adding on to this. The Rosharans(comparatively) have very little infrastructure. They don’t have oil refineries that could be bombed, or airstrips that could be taken out. Almost anything you could destroy(aside from oathgates and Urithiru) is replaceable, has multiple copies, and they can most likely do without. The only exception would be farms. That’s a lot harder to do without. But I think the nature of Roshar being made of rock, the high storms, and the fact that the plants move, would make burning pretty futile. It would take a lot of effort to destroy a field IMO Which means you’re reduced to just killing people(what else could you do here?) and that would just make the people fight harder. Senseless slaughter either makes people give up due the display of power, or fight harder for revenge(I’m simplifying). And based on the desolations, Roshar doesn’t do giving up very well

    I feel like I answered that, the soulcasters they had wouldn’t have been enough, so they still needed the gemstones to grow more food. Yes, once they have enough Lightweavers they would. But the thing is that they didn’t at that time.

    We actually do have some sort of an explanation. *sort of There’s not a lot of soulcasters. Out of the Elsecallers it’s just Jasnah, and while I’m pretty sure we only saw less than 20 Lightweavers. Based on Shallans comments on how she was glad the Lightweavers stayed small, I’m 90% sure that the Unseen Court consists of all the Lightweavers at the time. And said soulcasters were almost always busy doing something else. The strategic value of the maps, and their illusions does mean you can’t have them always soulcasting. There are a lot of other ways to use a Lightweaver. Now, if they did do a rotation of always having a radiant or two soulcasting, I don’t think they could get infinite food. Soulcasting takes effort from the radiant, and they need to take breaks. Also, the bigger something is, the harder to soulcast. Basically, even if they had all the light weavers and soulcasters on it, I don’t think they’d be able to keep up with the food demand of Urithiru. And finally. Y’all. They had access to Towerlight for less than 10 days. And they had a war to fight. I highly doubt infinite food glitches were on their mind.

    Well, this probably doesn’t answer the question too much, and I don’t have books with me either, but when Taravangian fakes destroying Kharbranth, he says something along the lines of that he was only able to do this because of his deal with Odium(that or because he had been king) Idk if that adds anything, but it’s another example of Shards smiting people. Though one thing we should remember is that we don’t know what agreement Hoid is in violation of.

    FSY’s almost over.

    Which is really sad. I absolutely love the people I met here. They are amazing. But today’s our last day before it ends. 

    Can’t wait to take what I’ve learned here though. The devotionals were amazing.

    I’m so grateful for my counselors though. The two of them are absolutely amazing for putting up with the 16 of us all week. This wouldn’t have been the same without them

    I only know of the Chinese Calender, the Lunar calendar(which may be the same as the Chinese, idk) and the Gregorian one. But I know the Gregorian is the one most people use, so I say half.
