  1. Gonna pop in and add something else that doesn’t seem to have been brought up. (I don’t have my books on my right now so I’ll edit in specific chapters later) In Emperor’s soul, Shai says that her soul stamps for herself will only last 24 hours. TLM That is not at all consistent with what we know of Soulstamps. Even assuming Shai would’ve made a better soul stamp than she has before, she wouldv’e been back to herself in less than 48 hours. The only explanation for why this particular soul stamp seems to be never failing was if there’s an outside source of investiture continually providing it so that the transformation takes place. That requires a connection to Sel and the Dor, otherwise it would just be a matter of waiting till the investiture ran out.
  2. Ayyy, nice, you’re already 18 though, so you don’t have to wait as long
  3. No. Economics has failed just look at Elon Musk
  4. I mean. We(Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)don’t drink tea, so like, I don’t care. Tax it through the roof. Doesn’t effect me* *yes, I know that’s not how economics works
  5. 54 weeks and counting down Working on mission papers right now actually Gonna submit in February(earliest I can) and leave in July.
  6. I would say yes. The only question I have would be how it affects the other avatars/Autonomy as a whole. We know people can posses multiple shards, as long as they’re connected to them both. It’s not hard for me to see an Avatar of Autonomy resonate with Valor or Cultivation(Patji could definitely hold Cultivation) WoB Here it talks about how Autonomy’s avatars are just splinters and Mistborn secret history That’s not that different from Autonomy’s Avatars. So yes
  7. I got today's Cosmeredle in 6 tries! Try and beat me at https://cosmeredle.net/ Edit: I think I’m going to switch to starting with Nale or Taln
  8. That’s fair. It’s important to share what you believe. That said, that doesn’t really help a discussion thread. Well of course. I can’t force anyone. And I don’t want to either. I believe in agency, and that means all I can say is “you may” because it’s not my choice. I would like to know though, would you rather that Jesus’s sacrifice was forced on you?(sorry about the clunky phrasing) As for unseen rewards. I’ve seen Heavenly Father’s hand in my life. And I’ve seen him fulfill his promises to me. So I trust him when he tells me, through the scriptures and prophets, about what happens after we die.
  9. Because of agency(if you do not think we have it, that’s okay, but I do). You do not have to accept Jesus’s sacrifice to pay it. That is your choice and no one can make it for you. That’s why we remind people. So they can make the choice. If you do not know that his sacrifice is there, then how can you choose to let it fulfill the law for you? As I’ve said, no one will force you or make you or decide for you that Jesus’s sacrifice fulfills the law for you. Not God not Jesus, not the law. We remind you so that you can make that choice.
  10. That’s why we believe in agency. It’s a central part of our beliefs that everyone is free to choose what they believe. Even in the kingdoms of glory, you are the one who ultimately decides what kingdoms you end up in. You are not going to be forced to be in a kingdom that you will not be happy in. If you do not think you want to be in the celestial kingdom, you do not have to be, that is your choice. Everything I’ve said is under the assumption that you do want to go to the celestial kingdom. If you don’t then that’s a completely different conversation. It’s more of like laws. As an imperfect being, I make mistakes. And just like if I break a countries law, there is a consequence of that. God’s laws also require a punishment for the mistakes and things I do wrong. And yeah, we exist as imperfect beings, no matter what we do we will inevitably break those laws in some way or another. Which is why the plan has Jesus Christ. So that we don’t have to have the consequences of it. Jesus suffered for all our mistakes and sins. But we technically don’t have to let his sacrifice count for us, though to me that seems like a weird thing to do. Heavenly Father’s plan takes care of all aspects so that while there is a debt that needs to be payed, we don’t have to worry about it. God knew we would make mistakes, and he accounted for that when making his plan. Everything’s taken care of if we let it be.
  11. Yes, a catholic would have to convert(but that’s slightly different from going to paradise or prison) As I said, it’s a step in the right direction from just not believing at all, but it’s not everything. There are things a catholic would still have to learn, still things they would have to do, and change they’d have to work at. That’s true of everyone, if I died tomorrow, I would still have things to work on and to learn. As for going to paradise or prison. The dividing line there(To my knowledge, maybe @Frustration can confirm this) is whether or not you’ve repented. Jesus died for all our sins(whether you repent or not) but you don’t have to accept that, you can still decide to take the punishment for your sins(think refusing to let a friend pay the bill for your ice cream) and you let him do that by repenting. Because if don’t repent and let the atonement do its job, then you have to do the paying(you have to pay for the ice cream) and that’s what spirit prison is for(along with providing a place for people to learn the gospel). So a Catholic is perfectly capable of going through the repentance process, but it highly depends on the Catholic. Regardless though, to me it doesn’t matter too much(not a satisfying answer I know) because spirit prison/paradise is temporary and doesn’t really effect what kingdom of glory you go to
  12. Pretty much yes. There are a few other details if you want to get into the celestial kingdom(there are ordinances we have to do on earth in temples for you which you later have to accept) and its been revealed that it’s harder to change after you die. So, when you’re dead, as you said, you will have just received proof up there being a god. After being ministered to by the people in spirit paradise, it should become clear that our belief is the right one, and at that point I don’t see why you’d chose to believe in the catholic version of Christianity, if that makes sense. As for being a member of our church here on earth. Technically no. If you want to achieve the highest form of exaltation(being like god) you have to have certain ordinances(one of those becoming a member). So you don’t technically have to believe in our specific faith now, you just do have to at some point(remember, this is all predicated on you wanting to go to the celestial kingdom. If you don’t want to do that then this is all unimportant). Now, it’s easier for you if you do become a member and go through the ordinances here on earth though. As I mentioned. It’s a lot harder to change once you’ve died(my understanding of that has to do with it being related to us not having a body or something like that but I’m not sure) so being a member now helps you here on earth and once you die. But it’s technically not “needed”. To me though I don’t see the point in waiting till I die to convert. I’d rather take the head start cause I gotta lot of hard work to do. As for other churches, we don’t believe they have the fullness of the gospel(they can’t do the ordinances backed by gods power that we can) but they can absolutely help you in your journey to become more like Heavenly Father. I generally think of the other Christian faiths like stepping stones. As for being a good person already. The end goal of all this, the why Heavenly Father sent us to earth, sent his son to die for our sins so because he wanted us to become like him. In knowledge, in power, etc. Becoming all that Heavenly Father is isn’t accomplished by simply being a good person if that makes sense. Two things before I wrap this up. 1. You do not have to accept this. This is all voluntary. If you die and decide that you don’t want to go to the celestial kingdom or that you won’t be happy there you can absolutely decide to go to the terrestrial or telestial kingdom that’s fine. It’s your choice and nothing anyone can do will change that. Everything I said only applies if your goal is to become like god and be all that he is. If that is not what you want to do, you can absolutely say “screw that” and be content in a different kingdom 2. I glossed over a lot of stuff here, so if you want more specifics or don’t understand something please continue to ask
  13. I like never do this It’s interesting. I expect to do terrible at it, especially since it doesn’t have a cross-out section like normal wordle does

  16. … So, I may be a little biased since I just read through the coppermind and the arcanum about him with the intent of roasting him…. But: You know how many people he’s killed right? Remember the Battle of Twilight Falls?
  17. C’mon, I haven’t even gotten to Kaladin or Szeth yet
  18. The Thief isn’t Elim though? Also I’m starting to get worried that we’re using all our favor. That’s 3 people who have said they would, 2 hours before rollover
  19. I mean, I’d like for you to vote Qian, but I doubt you’ll do that, for now, here’s a post so you can change your vote if you so choose.
  20. I was saying we should like, offer them other rare items, in exchange but pretty much yeah, ask nicely. Because it’s a lot better if we have the letters and agreements(side note, I find it interesting that Qian didn’t bring up letters when we were talking(letters aren’t useful to the mafia, Agreements are)) than an expertise book(IMO. There are other ways to get expertise) so depending on how nice the Thief is, we could So sort of both It is also a funny concept of just asking them to be nice to us edit: I should mention that if we did do this, depending on how, since we don’t know who is/if there is the Thief, we could be giving stuff to the Elims.
  21. Illwei really is right about how this is not the time. Rollover is in less than 2 hours, like, go ahead and use it, but like, if we’re gonna coordinate we need to be doing that earlier
  22. Once it got into the inactive people, then yes, it did, but before that, it was just active = good, inactive = bad. The inconsistency was part of what I didn’t like We could ask nicely maybe? I don’t think it matters to the thief what rare items they have, just that they have 5 of them. So we could just ask them not to or something if there’s a different rare item. Also, regarding the agreements, don’t those make you lose ties? To my knowledge none of the other rare items have a downside like that.
  23. So we don’t even know if one exists???? I suppose that could mean we just get PMs… I think the fact that we have PMs suggests we do? Either way that’s annoying, we honestly could just have no idea until either the game ends. Or a thief just wins, or until then I suppose. Aside from losing PMs if we exe them, is there anything we need to be worried about from them?
