  1. Didn't Taravangian and his coherts make comments about the bridgemen and how they were a breeding ground for radiants? The main requirement for a radiant is that they have a soul with cracks in it. Running a bridge would be a perfect experience to create those cracks. Lopen being a radiant would be AWESOME.
  2. I suppose that's the only thing that makes sense. The fact that it IS a shardblade and not an honorblade is too big of a deal for the issue to be an accident. So, the only option left is that Hoid has it.
  3. So. Mabi was a suspect earlier, I would say she still should be. Gamut - can you verify who has been cleared? Or rather, who has been scanned and showed up as not spiked (assuming none of them were smoked). P.S. I'll start role-playing again once work lets up a little. Last few weeks have been hell. P.S.S. I believe if someone shows up with a roll and not spiked that means they are 100%clear. Peng, is that correct? I read the smoker definition and it says: If scanned by a Seeker, the smoker or the person encompassed within his coppercloud will show up as nothing. Does that mean they show up as a regular villager?
  4. I was wondering the same thing. And it was pissing me off... SO - why did Hoid leave a shardblade there for everyone to think it was Taln's blade?
  5. I had created a new post, but weiry directed me here (I hadn't seen this post yet. Here is a little list I put together of the memebers of certain groups: List of Groups - and Members: The Sons of Honor (Reference Page 1060) Gavilar (deceased) Restares (Leader?) Amaram Ghostbloods Thaidakar (Possibly leader?) Kabsul (deceased) Lin Davar (deceased) Luesh (deceased) Mraise Iyatil Veil (Shallan) The Diagram (Reference Page 905) Taravangian Mrall Adrotagia Dova (runs the Silent Gatherers) Graves Danlan Moash (newest member) Shin Shamanate Szeth (Former member - was truthless - now a Skybreaker in training) SkyBreakers Nalan (Leader) Szeth Possibly extinct group: Envisagers I'm missing a group or two here I'm sure. Also missing a few members - let me know what might need to be updated.
  6. Here's my thoughts. Shallan's mother was part of a secret society (possibly the Envisagers?) and when they found out about Shallan they were going to try to push her to a breaking point. Her dad was possibly part of this group as well, and didn't believe that Shallan was a KR an thought that her mother was going to kill Shallan trying to break her. So, he stepped in. When Shallan made materialized a Shardblade and killed her mother, Lin realized that they were right, but hid the fact. This broke him, and I believe odium somehow got a hold of him. All of her fathers rage seemed to be exactly what someone who was being influenced by odium would do. He has issues with rage, and he provokes rage from others (his children). I think that he was on his way to becoming a Voidbinder. Just speculation though. P.S. Maybe Lin and Shallan's Mother were part of ANOTHER secret group that worship odium?
  7. So, just thought I would bring up this post to discuss the secret groups throughout Roshar. List of Groups - and Members: The Sons of Honor (Reference Page 1060) Gavilar (deceased) Restares (Leader?) Amaram Ghostbloods Thaidakar (Possibly leader?) Kabsul (deceased) Lin Davar (deceased) Luesh (deceased) Mraise Iyatil Veil (Shallan) The Diagram (Reference Page 905) Taravangian Mrall Adrotagia Dova (runs the Silent Gatherers) Graves Danlan Moash (newest member) Shin Shamanate Szeth (Former member - was truthless - now a Skybreaker in training) Possibly extinct group: Envisagers Please let me know if I'm missing any members and I will update the main list. Also, we should discuss their goals and motives - to get a better idea of what's going on. *EDIT* Some formatting issues.
  8. So, if Asp really is spiked. Do we us Gamut as the hub, and have him the Lurcher protect him? Also, if you are the seeker - don't tell anyone else who you are (if we are going to use Gamut as the hub).
  9. Also, the plus side - if Asp IS a Spike. That means we have another seeker... Bonus knowledge.
  10. The 2nd attack tonight was the probably our coinshot. He probably wanted a night to get an idea of who is spike and not spiked. I vote Asp (sorry man, i was rooting for you all last game, but now you have to die). I finally finished WoR! Talk about a book! Especially when you read at the pace of a snail...
  11. So, I feel like I missed the part about Nightblood. Can anyone reference me to where we saw it?
  12. Mac grumbled as he walked out onto the street. After all Cyrus's talk of allomancy, he had run and hid in the basement room he was renting. Luckily, he had a new book to keep him company while he was hiding from the rest of the villagers. Mac walked up to where the rest of the town was gathered and saw Dryii, dead. He thumbed his stone medallion Forage had sold him and, once again, pondered if it actually worked. I'd rather not find out. He decided to sit down and listen to what all of the other villagers had to say about the issue to see if he could piece anything he had missed together. OOC: Sorry guys, almost done with WoR (I'm a slow reader) so I have been AWOL. Meta: I'm not going to vote yet because I need to go back and read a lot of the previous posts to see if I can get a feel for the way things are going.
  13. So
  14. Story of my life... Nothing ever means what I think it means... :*(
  15. I'm just trying to set the tone for my character. A huge dude that everyone thinks is dumb (because he doesn't talk much) but is relatively clever (I think of it more as street-smarts rather than book smarts... I mean he did buy a stone necklace from Forage that stops allomancy....) with a past that can make him turn out to be whatever I roll. And he's easy to write for!
  16. Mac grunted at the request Cyrus had made and thumbed his stone medallion. If what Forage had sold him was a fake, there was little chance he was going to put himself between a Mistborn and a serial killer. He might stay around just to see how it all unfolded though... Edge, I couldn't agree with you more.
  17. Mac was standing outside of the door of Forager's shop looking at a stone medallion he had bought a while back from the peddler. He had claimed that it would prevent any allomancy from effecting him. In order to afford it, Mac had saved nearly two months wages from helping out around town. If the Medallion was as worthless as Meta claimed he would be as vulnerable as when... NO, better not to think about that... At that moment someone walking out of Forager's bumping into Mac. He looked up and realized everyone was headed over to Cyrus's... What could be going on? Having nothing better to do, he decided to follow.
  18. Just as Meta was about to walk out the door Mac grabbed him by the collar and asked with a grunt, "Honest words?". Instead of a response Meta just blankly looked at the 7 foot giant, his face turning a little purple. At this moment Mac realized he had lifted the investigator a foot off the ground and was choking him. Mac quickly dropped him and walked out the door in embarrassment. Joe, I love your signature. Our googledoc was the best.
  19. Enders game is the starter book I give to everyone who is thinking about getting into Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't love it.
  20. Mac, the town giant. About ten years back Mac just appeared in the town wandering around. At the age of 12 he was already 6 foot tall and about as thick as a hundred year old oak. Mac is seldom heard stringing more than a handful of words together. Due to his silence most of the villagers think he is a halfwit. Honestly, things couldn't be further from the truth, he just has a... dark past that he would rather keep quiet about. So, built like a Mac Truck... My writing skills are kind of lacking, but I'm going to try to make up for it by awesomeness....
  21. I'm in the same boat Blood. I follow the Sanderson Elimination, and check the theories and read any the sound intriguing, but I can't get too involved... I know everything is going to change in 2 weeks.
  22. Back to the how the Parshendi knew that Szeth could perform the assassination. I believe that the Parshendi and Darkness have goals that align. I believe that Darkness knew that Gavilar was going to do something so he procured (or already had) Szeth and gave him to the Parshendi, telling them what he could do. That's just my theory though. Obviously Darkness already knew that Szeth was there, and had the honorblade, and obviously the Parshendi knew what Szeth was capable off. The easiest explanation that makes sense is that they were in cahoots.
  23. If I remember the WoB correctly he was referencing their current identity. I could be wrong, but I think within context that was what was meant. Either we have met them, or they have been mentioned in one way or another.
  24. According to WoB all 10 heralds have been seen or mentioned in TWoK. I think we can only be reasonably positive about seeing 5 including the prelude - 3 not including.
