You generally aren't supposed to copy paste from PMs, (I don't believe this rule is set in stone however; it's more up to the GM's discretion) but you can paraphrase as much as you want. And, if my count is right, you don't have any living PC House Members. Of course, that only makes your statement more true. Is there anyone you can think of who may have been able to give Ren the info he had? The only thing I can think of is a House Lord with the Terrisman power. And for a current vote count: Asyr (1): Hadrian, Alden Mailu (1): Mesist Finch (1): Fien Hyrun (1): Kassel

I don't really have time for anything fancy here but there are three pieces of information I would like everyone to search for within their docs. Anyone who has gone to the informant and reported receiving this information (especially on particular days) should be considered suspicious. -The fact that Gamma used his metal action on Sylinia. (Day 2 onwards, with emphasis on Day 2) -The fact that Kas used his metal action on Gamma. (Day 2 onwards, with emphasis on Day 2) -The fact that Ren is a Tineye. (Day 3 onwards, with emphasis on Day 3) Of course, we cannot know with any sort of surety what information is in a doc where there is only one survivor, so Jain should be automatically a tad suspicious, for the sake of convenience. (Ash shot Racine which makes him unlikely, unless they wanted her to be lynched, but we've already concluded this to be improbable.) As Wyrm has helpfully marked the beginning of each turn, it shouldn't be too hard to find this stuff. And anyone who claims not to have used their informant action should also be suspicious, as Skaa kills replace the informant action. On that note, would Kas or Fien like to provide Newan's Informant reports so we can search for those, as well?

After waking up and going over things with a clearer head, some of my conjecture from last night is completely wrong, so I'll probably be holding off from voting Asyr, for now. As a quick question, who all knew that Ren was a Tineye, aside from people in his doc? (And could his other Contact please come forward?) The basic premise behind my theory still works, but it will need to be modified somewhat.

Alden was nervous. The last time he's thought he understood what was going on, he'd nearly lead to the murder of an innocent. This time, however, Alden believed that he truly saw what was going on. Waiting for Fien to finish his strange spiel about "roles and game mechanics" he gathered his courage to speak. "I believe that Asyr Tuy, Lord of House Tuy, is a Skaa. Or at the very least, he is actively aiding the infiltrators." Despite the fact that Alden was still sitting, and had spoken quietly, it seemed as if every eye turned towards him. Swallowing nervously, he stood and continued. "I am sorry that I am unable to provide much evidence for my case, but the fast majority is circumstantial, or relying upon facts that would be detrimental if they were to be revealed to the general public. I cannot be completely certain that this is truth, but I think that some among us have already put the pieces together and arrived at the same conclusion. To be more sure, I would like to ask Lord Erikell if he knows who Ren contacted before his death. Assuming that his information compliments my deductions, we can be fairly certain that Lord Tuy is Skaa." Sitting back down and doing his best not to feel foolish, Alden waited, hoping against hope that the other Nobles would give some thought to his accusations. So... yeah. I don't know if what I've worked out is anything like true, but Kas should be able to come to the same conclusion I did if he has the info I think he has, so that should be able to confirm. I am sorry I can't go through my whole process, I'd like to, on the fairly good chance that I've missed something, but doing so might give the Skaa info they really shouldn't have. (Although, in all honesty, I'm surprised they didn't work it out themselves, if they knew Ren was the Tineye.)

I haven't been super active in the last game, however I'll theoretically be free from Friday onwards for the next little while, so why not. No time for RP/questions right now, but Faisan the bronze-smith is signing up. (If I remember correctly, previous to Aharietiam, the Desolations had halted technological progression to the point where they were unable to forge iron cost-effectively, assuming that Taln is telling the truth.)
-
Egads. Umm... Egads. Something feels very wrong here, but I'm still unable to spend the time figuring out exactly what. Newan is either A; so inactive the Skaa just don't care, or B; not actually Skaa. Ash isn't totally free of suspicion in my mind, but he's been asking a lot of random questions that his doc-mates could answer easily enough if he had any (by the way, yes kandra are shown in House totals) so I won't be voting for him. Kalden... that comment there made me a touch suspicious of you. Everyone who's been paying attention (and apparently a few who haven't ) know that Jae's a Rioter, and have known since Day Two (if I remember correctly), so you're not adding anything new to the conversation, other than subtly advocating a bandwagon (which is never a good idea). Jain... Gah. I don't know. However... I did get suspicious of you rather early on, and Twei came to your defence more than once in the doc.... Circumstantial, at best, but still noteworthy, I think. Cat is not fully cleared, despite giving away her House powers. It may be that the Skaa decided that they were not a threat, and not worth the suspicion of keeping. Just as a little thing here, if you're a House Lord and used Improved Weaponry last night, I'd be taking a close look at your House-mates, assuming a Mistborn/fourth coinshot didn't hit Nath previously. (Unless you're Jain, in which case, well...). If the Skaa had their own Coinshot, I'd imagine we'd know by now. Either we'd have had another death, or the House Lords would be getting hit like crazy to keep their powers from being used. Another little thing: Would people mind going through their docs and checking to see if anyone reported the same info as Twei did on the second day? We know she didn't go to the informant, so she had to have gotten her info from somewhere (unless Kas/Gamma are Skaa). And that's my (admittedly rather long) two cents. I feel like I'm missing something big here, but I won't have time to figure out what. I should be more active by the next day turn though, (assuming I'm not dead by then).

I have no idea what the Calamity is going on here (and I don't have the time right now to try and figure it out), but I feel I have something I should contribute this to the discussion: Ash used his metal action on Twei the first night. Make of this what you will, and let the Lord of Chaos rule. (Seriously, don't read too much in to this. My off the cuff reaction is that Ash's plan is bad, and we should try to confirm Cat through other means, but this information has about an even chance of being condemning or exonerating, depending on what Ash's metal is.)

...Leftinch, would you mind explaining why you're lying? With the way the Informant works, you cannot receive two separate pieces of information about someone if there is other information already in the pool. This includes both Lies and Truths. For you to not be lying, then both Ren and Tonul must be. Either that, or you want us to believe that Cat is lying, which is just plain silly. Why would the Skaa purposefully lynch on of their own? Without Cat's info, the lynch never would've gone through. If you'd given out this information then, it probably wouldn't have, with how confused everyone was. Let's try and lay this mess out logically. -Ren reported that Twei was Skaa. (True.) -Tonul reported that Twei was a Tineye. (True.) -Cat reported that Twei used her metal action (Tin) on Leftinch. (Unknown. Leftinch claims Lie, Cat claims Truth.) -There are four people involved, and any one of them could be lying. Ren and Tonul both reported true information. The only way they could have received this information was through the informant, or through collaboration with Twei. If Ren hadn't put forward his information, we would never have suspected Twei in the first place, so collaboration is out. (Unless Twei was lynched intentionally, but this seems illogical, when there was minimal suspicion of her.) Tonul could have been lying, to cover for Twei. However, this changes very little, as Ren's fact would still have to come from the GM. Cat could be lying, but why? She, like Ren, has no motivation (aside, perhaps, from protecting a Skaa House Lord), unless she somehow knew Twei was Skaa, and did not wish to tell us how. (Possible, with the use of certain House Powers. However, engaging Leftinch in the deception would be foolish when there was no guarantee he would go along with it.) Now, this leaves Leftinch. Why would you lie? If you were truly not contacted by Twei, then we would have no reason to be suspicious of her. However, our suspicions turned out to be correct. Why? As Skaa, you would gain nothing from lying, other than greater suspicion on you. Unless... unless you don't plan to hit Cat tonight, as many assume you do. In this scenario, Cat is implicated as Skaa as soon as she survives the night, and her efforts to lynch Twei will only be seen as an attempt to prove the veracity of a Skaa House Lord. (Which is a viable option, however unlikely.) This is all assuming that these facts are from the GM. Our other possibility is that no less than three separate people gave information about Twei. For a moment here, let's assume that Twei was telling the truth. She said she used the informant and gave out her identity as a Tineye. This means that two other players gave information about her. So either a Skaa gave a Truth about Twei in exchange for information, (in which case Twei was being used as a scapegoat, giving credence to the above scenarios where Cat and Ren are lying) or someone put a Lie about Twei, saying she was Skaa, (which in fact turned out to be truth). The second of these scenarios strikes me as unlikely, simply because action like that would be directly detrimental to our efforts to find the Skaa. If Twei, Finch and Cat all told the truth, then someone also placed a Lie saying that Twei used her metal action on Finch. Why? If Finch could dismiss it so easily, what was the point? Who gains from that? Here, I honestly have no idea. So yeah. Something funky is going on here, and I feel it's pretty likely that Finch is lying. I'll ask again; would you mind explaining why you're lying, Leftinch? I don't think I missed anything, but if I did, feel free to point it out.

I'm not saying they are proven by any means. I'm saying that they are less likely to be Skaa. There's a difference. Anyway, Meta and Lukat have other reasons they are unlikely to be Skaa. So does Gamma. Kal, Hadrian and Kas, on the other hand, do not. However, speaking in terms of probability, they are still lower down on the list than those who did not vote for Racine.

Well. I guess I can't say I told you so. (I was seriously expecting a different result.) And I'm feeling more than a little foolish now, trying so hard to defend a Skaa. Honourary Eliminator Award, here I come, : P. So, Cadri, Ren, Mesist, Hadrian, Cat, Kassel, Kaldin, Finch and Fien are likely true Nobles. Everyone probably figures I'm a Skaa now, and that's fine. It's not as if I actually expect to live through these things anymore. For the record, I wasn't the one who Soothed Tonul. Once again, I'm assuming that was the Skaa Soother, if neither Tonul nor Jae are Skaa. I've found myself with a bit of uninterrupted free time, so here's some RP: Despondent, Alden sat watching the other Nobles slowing filing from the keep, celebrating their supposed victory. Lady Morinthe, helping the Skaa? Being party to Lady Elariel's murder? Had she been a part of the plot to kill his family -her own family- as well? Rust. After the plantation Skaa revolted, House Morinthe, under the guidance of his Aunt Racine, had taken him in; giving him means to escape the Central Dominance and the memories there. She'd worked personally to secure contracts for him in the Outer Dominances. It had seemed a kindness then, but maybe it had been an attempt to keep him from discovering the truth. Why? After what I'd done... why not just kill me like the others? Alden felt a fool. He'd let past kindness blind him to the point where he nearly let a murderer go free. He didn't completely agree with how the Skaa were treated, but violence like this helped no one. Events like these, the Skaa's infiltation attempts, the Noble's purge, they never actually changed anything. They only ever repeated themselves, given time. Lord Ruler knows I learned that lesson well enough. The ash fell steadily as Alden’s barge made its pondering way downriver to Luthadel. Staring out towards the red glow of the Ashmounts and doing his best not to think of anything at all, Alden was started by a scream that echoed from the riverbank. It was shill and scared, too high to belong to any but a young girl. Snapped out of his reverie, he rushed to the side of the barge. The scream cut short, ending in a horrifying gurgle. Two soldiers, wearing his own livery, were holding the body of a girl no more than twelve. Blood stained her ragged dress, and still more poured from the knife wound in her throat. Suddenly lightheaded, Alden was struck by an image of his own sister, bound and beaten, burning in her own home. He leapt from the barge, landing heavily on the riverbank as the soldiers set the girl down. “What in the Lord Ruler’s name is going on here?!” “We’re carrying out your orders, sir.” The soldiers looked confused, incredulous at the idea that their lord would care one way or another over a Skaa’s life. “This girl can’t be more than twelve! It’s not as if she could have participated in the rebellion!” Alden was shocked. How could they take the murder of a child so lightly? The soldier who had spoken shrugged. “She was found in possession of items from the Manor, m’lord.” Rust. They’d killed a child, merely for having been brought an item from his home, and they’d done it on Alden’s orders? He found himself shaking. “I hereby rescind my orders, then. Find a place, and bury her. As respectfully as you are able, please.” The talkative soldier shrugged again. “Whatever you say, m’lord. I believe she was one of the last, anyway.” “…The last?” “The last of the plantation Skaa.” Alden felt hollow. There had been hundreds, if not thousands of Skaa on the Izenry plantations. And he was responsible for all of them. A huge number, some guilty, and likely far more innocent, dead or dying; bleeding out into the ash. Resam came down from the barge as Alden watched his men bury the girl. Once again, the tall Terrisman bore a peculiar expression on his face. “Do you think I made the right choice, Resam? Quelling the rebellion with violence?” “It is what your father would have done.” “You know that’s not an answer.” The steward sighed. “No. I don’t believe you made the right choice, m’lord. However, I think you already know that.” “I don’t think I can do this anymore. I don’t think I can run the plantation.” Resam gave him an appraising look, and seemed satisfied by whatever it was that he saw. “No Alden… I don’t believe you can.” Alden nodded, feeling oddly calm. “One of the cousins can be welcome to the place. I need to do something else. Something that gets me as far from here as possible, I think.” The Terrisman briefly clasped Alden’s shoulder, and then turned away, heading back to the barge. “We’ll need to be on again fairly soon, if you plan to reach Luthadel before morning. You do have some time though. It’s not as if they’ll leave without you, even if you won’t be their lord much longer.” “Thank you, Resam.” He stayed watching the girl’s burial until the soldiers began shoveling dirt and ash back into the hole. It was nothing special, and nothing like what she deserved after the wrong he'd done, but it was the best that Alden could give.

Lol, really people? Of that whole post, the thing you have the most trouble with is how I phrased it? I've already told you several times that we're part of the same House, if you read between the lines. Had she contacted me as a Tineye, that would've been my first evidence, and this whole fiasco wouldn't even be happening. I just didn't want to out and out say it, on the off chance the Skaa didn't figure it out. It seems my clues should've been a tad clearer, I guess. From a game-focused perspective, we should lynch Twei, there's no doubt about that. However, if we do, I reserve the right to say "I told you so," if she's innocent. Cat Lekal

Hmm... I believe I can prove that Racine went to the Informant, which, I also believe makes it very likely that Cat Lekal is Skaa. When Twei first contacted me at the start of day two, she said that the information returned to her was: Kas targeted Gamma with his metal, and [redacted]. Wyrm later clarified, saying that the info about Kas should have specified that it took place on Night One. Now, I don't know if this was a slight error of Wyrm's part, or if this was how Kas phrased his request for information, but either way, Twei must have used the Informant. Ergo, if Cat had truly sought information on Twei, it would have returned her status as a Tineye. (Unless the Skaa spread two Lies, in which case Finch is more likely to be Skaa.) I might be totally wrong (it's 3:30 my time and I can't sleep ), but I think you'd best be coming up with a strong defence, Cat.

Meta: Jain had no way of knowing that Tonul Rioted him, unless they are collaborating, in which case he would not have Rioted him, knowing that he was a Smoker. Ergo, the fact I received about Jain must have come from Wyrm. I'm rather surprised you didn't figure that out yourself, Meta. Either that, or It somehow serves Jain and Tonul's agenda as Skaa for us to believe that he is a Smoker. Sart: I already mentioned that Twei knew what my Informant results were. However, I am not utterly certain that Lukat is lying. Put two and two together and you get...? The way I see it, Occam's Razor says there are two most likely solutions. A: Twei is Skaa, and all information we recieved was correct. B: Lukat and Finch are Skaa, Ren's info was a Lie, and the Skaa intend to set up Twei. I'd be slightly more happy with lynching Lukat than Twei (although not really for any game relevant reasons), but I'd be fine with either. One of them has to be Skaa. Maill: I have to get some fun out of this without being killed unduly. Something I'd like to add (though it's not incredibly important): Kalden said he forgot to put in a night action. This is all well and good, but anyone who did not visit the informant and gain info is suspicious in my mind.

Alden stood. He'd engaged in some of the early discussions, but had fallen back as soon as he realized he was growing too involved. Sometimes, the patterns were easier to see from the outside. Clearing his throat, he looked towards the front of the room, where the main discussion was taking place. "Someone here is lying to us, I'm afraid. We know that Racine claims to have spoken to the informants this past night, which is supported by her knowledge regarding Lords Erikell and Urbain." Raising a finger, Alden continued. "However, three separate pieces of info were given about her from others; all different. This suggests that she did not in fact visit the informants. "Now, we find ourselves with a conundrum. We have evidence that implicates Racine, and her defence cannot be proven. On the other hand, it seems very coincidental that not one, not two, but five people should act on Racine in the space of a day. She was Soothed, Coinshot, and ratted on by three separate informants. Why? What made her such an important target?" Alden began to pace, trying to keep his thoughts straight. "The only one of you who has even attempted to prove that you truly have information on Racine is Ren, and, given that I am a Soother, I am inclined to believe him. So I ask you, Lady Cat Elariel, why should we believe that you received your information through legitimate means? Why should we believe that you received information about Racine at all?" So yes, I am a Soother (and this is what I provided the Informant with). I did not Soothe Racine the first day. I assume that that would've been the Skaa Soother, if there is one. I'm not sure where things are going, and Jain and Twei are most certainly not cleared, but I'd like people to consider all their options here, instead of jumping on a weakly supported accusation (I know people have not done so yet, but the sooner we can explore our options, the more use we can get out of the day turn).

Honestly, I'm rather busy with life in general. I have far to many things to do, far to little time to do them in, and I'm trying to analyze this game and how the players are voting at the same time (those of you who I've worked with in the past know I keep very extensive Lists), and if you can't tell, I'm slipping a bit because of it. There wasn't much discussion going on in the thread, (aside from Meta's analysis of the Informant role, which I didn't feel the need to comment on as I fully agreed with it) so I didn't post. I couldn't have made the Skaa kill, as I used the informant action last night. (I have already proven this.) You did not use the Informant Action, and your first response to this being pointed out was deflecting guilt onto your accuser with weak reasoning. You do say that you act more erratically than your brother, but how are we to know this, and if this is true, why should it be taken into account? We have only your word. My outburst, as you put it, was because I held information I felt I needed to share with the group. It wasn't quite as immediately important as I originally thought, (in part due to the relatively little thought I've been able to put into this game) but it was still useful, and I wished to make it known before I was unable to post again. (Just as a general disclaimer, I'm a tad stressed and have a major headache right now, so no offence is meant if any of this post sounds like it could be taken that way.)

Gah, you're right Meta. Apologies to Twei (for the unfounded suspicion, you aren't completely off the hook), and Skaa, if anything I said was useful to you, please ignore it. However, knowing that Tonul used a metal on Jain, and that Jain was Rioted is interesting. That puts some suspicion on Tonul now, but there's another possibility I noticed that I'd like to draw everyone's attention to. The information I received on Jain wasn't known to him, and thus had to came from the GM. The only things that can take the place of Informant actions are House Powers, and Skaa kills. Jain is not a House Lord. So, Jain (or Jain's brother), why didn't you use your Informant action? Were you perhaps too busy making the Skaa kill?

Rust. Alright, here's what I know (since Racine already knows all of this): Yesterday, Jain was Rioted. As there is (apparently) no Kandra in House Urbain, he must be a Smoker. Now, what was our only missing vote last cycle? Twei's vote for Gamma. This means that Twei must have been a Rioter who tried to force a lynching. Now with a bit of planning, it would be possible for this to have been set up by Jain and his Skaa cohorts. However, the simplest solution is usually the best, so Twei is most likely a Skaa Rioter. I don't know if it's worth pushing for a lynching, but Twei or Jain must be Skaa.

Alright. While this isn't foolproof, I do have one easy way to test if Racine is a Skaa. Fien, does TelZaan belong to House Urbain? (Note to other members of House Urbain: If Fien is lying about this, he's probably a Skaa.) And no, I'm not going to explain how this confirms anything, because I don't want to give the Skaa any more info than they need. Let's just say that my Informant report was particularly... enlightening. Assuming I get an answer that clears Racine, I'll be voting Ashette for now. I'm not 100% certain, but I he's my best guess. If the answer I get from Fien implicates Racine, and she turns out to be a Noble, I'll be placing my vote on Jain, just so you know. I might actually put my vote on Jain anyway. I'll leave this as it stands for now though.

I think I get where you're going with this, Araris, and It's a far better plan than Jaelre's was (although still not perfect), but I don't think it's necessary to begin with. We know: Houses Tuy and Elariel have three players, as Lesser Great Houses. Houses Seeris and Urbain have four players, as Great Houses. Unknown Houses will have two players as Lesser Houses. 2(4)+2(3)+X2=22 X, in this case must equal 4, making it eight Houses in total. As I see it, this is fact. You can't cheat math. So, we really don't gain anything from telling one person from each House. The Skaa don't really gain anything, but we don't get anything from it either. Other than the names of eight people who are probably not part of the same House of course, but really, how useful is that? Theory: That only works if said Minor House has a Tineye. There's two-three Tineyes, but almost two thirds of the players are in the Greater Houses... At absolute best, (an unlikely scenario) there would still be one Minor House sans-Tineye. Honestly, the very idea of a non-RP treaty is a touch silly; we should all be focusing on our primary objective (removing the Eliminators) right now anyway, and anyone who says otherwise is probably a Skaa.

I'd agree with Jaelre on the distribution of players. I even have a good guess as to which House the Kandra belongs to because of this. I'm not certain, however, that I agree about posting which House we belong to. While it's statistically more probable for there to be Skaa in a Greater House than a Lesser, it's statistically improbable for there to be one in every Great House. Knowing who belongs to what House will make the Lords a bigger target, not smaller. It will make it that much easier for the Skaa to systematically remove the House Powers from play. While they're most definitely not 100% necessary to win the game, they are useful, and several of them are far more powerful in the Skaa's hands than they are in ours. Just a hunch (and not a very good one at that), but I think I'm voting Jae Kastner this cycle. EDIT: After rereading this while not distracted by anything else, I find it more likely the Kas was right; that there are three players in Elariel and Tuy, and four in Urbain and Seeris. However, I think this just further supports the point above about Jae's logic. It does also make him look a tad less suspicious, as the Skaa probably know that at least one Greater House is short a player, but there's always the possibility that he's trying to play on a higher level, and it's not as if he's going to get lynched as things stand anyway.

I must agree with Gamma here. We cannot afford to waste our time in our House Docs. We need to start doing things in thread. I would love to know why Fain voted for me (obviously ), but it is not yet so late in the day that I feel I should cast a vote in his direction. Silence helps no one but the Skaa. Oh, and for the sake of completeness, here's a vote List: Fien (0): Mesist Alden (0): Finch Mesist (1): Tonul, Cadri Finch (0): Fien Sylinia (0): Mailu Ashette (2): Ashette, Fien Jain (2): Hyrun, Hadrian Kalden (1): Tonul Hadrian (0): Kassel Mailu (1): Sylinia Jae (1): Mailu Cadri (0): Racine Wandrin (1): Lukat

Seeing the body of the woman dead on the ballroom floor, and the fire Heron’s servants were building, Alden felt dizzy. Charred bones in a mountain of ash… He shivered, briefly overcome by memory. A girl, naught more than twelve, soaked in her own blood… Alden shook his head, trying to clear it of memories that he’d avoided for far too long. Bloody Luthadel intrigue. I left the Central Dominance to be away from this sort of thing. Skaa killing nobles, nobles slaughtering Skaa, nobles killing each other. Rinse and repeat. For all its apparent beauty, Luthadel was truly one of the darkest and most dangerous places in the Empire. As a scion of one of the most powerful Lesser Houses, he couldn’t stay away entirely, but he tried as hard as he could to stay in the Outer Dominances. If only Resam were here… In the years after his father’s death, Alden and the Terrisman had become good friends. Despite spending most of his time on helping Alden with business deals in the Outer Dominances, the Terrisman still somehow knew Luthadel’s political structure better than anyone. Most of the little Alden knew he’d learned either from reading the letters that he carried, or from Resam. But he couldn’t be expected for days yet. Last Alden had seen the man, he was travelling to the Terris Dominance to set up a business deal for Alden, and visit his family. Alden was on his own, for now anyways. Even if he didn’t know Luthadel’s political climate very well, Alden could still read people. And if the corpse being dragged away was any indication, that was a skill he’d have to put to use very soon… Flashback time! (Never done one before, so I figured I'd give it a try. ) Seven years earlier: “It was the Skaa, sir.” Alden struggled to keep calm. “The Skaa?” “Yes.” The steward, Resam, continued in his soft-spoken voice. “After you left, they rebelled against your father. They bound everyone living on the plantation and left them in the Manor to burn. None of your family escaped.” By the Lord Ruler… The Terrisman looked concerned. “I know you probably want some time, sir, but as acting head of house, you need to reach a decision.” Alden looked out over the still-smoldering ruins of the home where he’d grown up. A short time ago, he’d sympathized with the Skaa, even asked his father to be more lenient on them. Now… This was barbaric. It proved them the animals that some of his more close-minded fellows had assumed the Skaa to be. Doing his best to hold back tears, Alden came to his decision. “Put them down. All that had a hand in this, to the very last.” His voiced was cold; far more collected than Alden thought should have been possible. The Terrisman wore a strange expression. “As you wish, m’Lord.” Everyone's content to scheme in their Google Docs, I guess? It's been almost two hours since the write up, and no one's done anything...

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game

Good game, everybody. That was very well played on the Darkfriend's end. We ended up spending a lot of time confusing ourselves over what you were doing. It's weird how utterly incorrect assumptions have a habit of pointing in the right direction. Dellan we would've found anyway, as we had some evidence for him that wasn't wrong, but if we'd known for sure that Ash was a Viewer, it probably would've been a while before we found Binnut. I'm looking forward to seeing the DF Doc, largely for the code-breaking. That was storming impressive, Shiv.- 503 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game

Had you not mentioned that, I probably never would've thought of it, Wilson. Leas wasn't sure where he was. It looked almost like the yard outside Trimat’s hut, but not quite. Small objects shifted constantly, popping in and out of existence, while figures flickered at the edge of his vision. The whole place had a rather dreamlike quality. Tel’aran’rhiod. The name appeared suddenly, and to his surprise, Leas realized he knew what it was. The World of Dreams, where heroes waited to be spun back into the Pattern. Bah. I’m not exactly a hero. Ambushed and smothered in horse manure, in the middle of a battle. That isn't a hero’s death. That also didn't seem to be the reason he was here, anyway. Something felt wrong. Alright then. May as well figure out what in the Blight I’m supposed to be doing. Looking around a little more, Leas noticed a thin tendril of pale fog stretching from his ankle to something buried in the manure. Huh. Bending down, he gave the strand a tug. A presence, like some unfathomable darkness entered his mind, all rage and hate and madness. Collapsing to his knees, the world around Leas briefly flickered, becoming more solid, more real. …Light. What in the Dark One’s name was that? Wait. Trimat had buried something here before me, hadn't he? A toy. Something that had belonged to Jain… and then Kaim. Blood and bloody ashes. This was his curse, wasn't it? Whatever it was, it seemed to be what was tying Leas to the World of Dreams. Burn me. If he wanted to get out of here, he was going to have to touch that thing again. Steeling his nerves and feeding his apprehension to the flame in his mind, he reached down and grasped hold of the fog. That strange presence immediately lashed out again, trying to wrest control from Leas. It took all his force of will to remain in the Void, redirecting Mashadar’s hate into the Flame. He staggered from the effort. It crashed again and again at the edges of the Void, but Leas did not break. He still had work to do. *** Gradually, awareness of the waking world returned. Leas was still buried face first in manure, but one of his hands was wrapped around something furry. He almost lost control from panic and succumbed to Mashadar before he realized he didn't need to breathe. With excruciating slowness, Leas dug himself out of the manure. Eventually, mostly dead and the dirtiest he'd ever been in his life, he was free. Tucking the panda into his belt and drawing Mayor Twim's sword, he started towards the sounds of battle, silvery mist pooling around his feet. As the grunts and guttural screams of shadowspawn drew nearer, the tendrils of mist began twitching in anticipation. Reaching the treeline, Leas paused a moment. There were dozens, if not hundreds of trollocs, with myrddraal and draghkar reinforcing the ranks. Taking in his first breath since his return, he let out a way cry and charged the trollocs. Despite Mashadar's constant struggle for dominance within his mind, the mist acted like an extension of Leas' own will, striking down any trollocs that attempted to flank him as Twim's Power-wrought blade made short work of the shadowspawn in front. Moving into Boar Rushes Down the Mountain, he struck down a trolloc in front of him, and parried a strike from the one behind it as Mashadar lashed out, felling the beast. A Halfman turned, with a look that Leas assumed must have been surprise on it's eyeless face. It brought it's sword up, impossibly fast, but the mist was faster. The myrddraal stiffened and collapsed without a sound. For a brief moment, the trollocs paused, silently observing their fallen leader. Almost as one, they broke, fleeing from the village. Leas was suddenly overcome with relief, and the Void shattered. Clutching his head with the immediate onslaught, Leas collapsed and everything went black. I hope you don't mind me "borrowing" Mashadar for a bit, Kas. I'm certain Leas would be more than happy to be rid of it, however.- 503 replies
