  1. One of my favorite things: being able to hear the keys and hammer action on solo piano recordings. Maybe this bothers some people, but I absolutely love it.

No no, you are right, it is sublime

  2. That can always change, you know. The rabbit hole is always open! Got some Jacques Herbin Kyanite du Nepal for Christmas. It's blue and sparkly and I love it! (Did a status update on it, but I'll put one of the shots here too, for convenience.) Also, the other day my sister got hold of my bottle of Tsuki-yo and a glass pen and did this. Man, I love having artists in the family.

Colors. Well, I guess it's not always a given--I love Hufflepuff, but my favorites aren't yellow and black. Mm, I see. Oh goodness. Well, if you know what you like... Gotcha. Summer's nice, but I live in a desert, so for me it's dead last.
  4. Happy New Years, everyone!

    Ask me anything!

Considering your avatar, I should have guessed. Any particular artists or genres, or just as a general mood across the board? I wish we had a monsoon season. It hardly ever rains here...
  6. @Use the Falchion Oh, that's right, you're how I found out about Band-Maid! Thanks for that.
  7. I feel ashamed as a book nerd that I do not know this answer.

Three favorite colors? Favorite kind of music? Second favorite season?
  9. One of my favorite poems, done with the ink I got for Christmas. Yes, it's a bit late, but the light was never right. (Never mind that I'm using a lamp...)

Also, there's two pics of this one, because guess what this ink sparkles! Oooh!

    Spoiler

Oh, lovely! I too have discovered the joys of the Opus 88 :P Added an ebonite feed because I was tired of life and it's certainly...livened things up

Wow, you really like writing with actual firehoses, don't you? :P

'Tis true, I am not overly fond of a pen unless it haemorrhages :P

  10. You get the rains blessed down in Africa. *inserts a vinyl record*
  11. Yep, that is correct! Merry Christmas to you too! (English spelling would be Caspar and Balthazar, btw.)
  12. Merry Christmas, everyone!

My sister woke the family up this morning by playing Kygo's remix of Take On Me VERY LOUDLY. (Last year it was Africa.) Methinks we have a new tradition.

      Merry Christmas!

  13. No, no, and...still no. Sorry.
  14. Finished Hawkeye. Loved it.

Started Neon Genesis Evangelion. (Hence my Ookla name and avatar.) Looks promising!

Rewatching the Sequel Trilogy. Absolutely love these, no shame. Feels like Christmas and nostalgia.

  15. Fair enough! WLIU, name the three Magi (Wise Men).
  16. I did, but @Szeth_Pancakes beat me to posting it. I'll happily cede this one if they have one ready.
  17. Also Mestiv. Dunno if there are any others.
  18. Agreed. Those are amazing, especially that last one. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Aaand we're back! Happy Koloss Head-Munching Day, everyone!

Happy Koloss Head-Munching Day to you as well! Who started that name? It's awesome.

Brandon himself! And indeed, it is. :D

      Quote

      Brandon Sanderson

The short is this: A fan asked if there were any holidays in the Mistborn world. I jokingly said Koloss Head-Munching Day. Fans ran with it.

is Koloss Head-Munching Day when people munch on Koloss heads, or Koloss munch on people’s heads? Just want it to be clear.

      Brandon Sanderson

It’s the day the koloss celebrate by having a nice head to eat.

  20. Polite and friendly! Though I'll have to dock a point for suspicion, as "fellow humans" is exactly the sort of thing an alien trying to blend in would say. Who are you, really? 9/10.
  21. I concur. (I had a spicy pasta dish the other day that was called, in Italian, "angry pasta". This rather delighted me. Also, it was delicious.)
  22. Aaaahhh he's so cute! (And yes, it is. My condolences.)
  23. This one isn't mine--found it in a YouTube comments section, but I love it so much I'm going to put it here. What do you call a Belgian comic book protagonist performing a lively French dance inside a small metal container? Said comments section was for a show that often has similarly atrocious puns as "prizes". Here's some others I enjoyed:
  24. Well, that may be so, but unless it tells me what it is, how am I supposed to know? 5/10, did not think this through.
  25. Also I guess I'm a Bondsmith now? That's pretty neat.
