I think for a spike to be functional, the main compartment is that is has a fragment of a soul inside. How it comes, is mostly with metal that you can rip a part off. But not sure if you can infuse just a gemstone with a spren and tahts enough. But there is some interesting hemalurgic discovery in the cosmereRPG. If you want. How do you come to that conclusion? Who says you dont need a spike donor? We dont know how the gemspikes of Moash were made before they were implemented.

I doubt it considering that he carries the dawnshard for "exist" and it seems to be extremly against the notion of change.

Just for the interest. What do the implications for other metalminds mean if you thought about this? Do you think you can force somebody to tap their attribute into a metal mind?`Like make them slower because they are storing their speed?

I know they use aether but not gravitation. I know starlings crew uses it, not the scadrians… Maybe I am wrong. But scadrians should have gravitations technology based on feruchemical iron. They do have manicles that makes ones body heavier so i see no reason why they not have their own technology.

This does not make sense in the least. These planets are in an intergalactic weapons arm race. They need to have a controlled weapon manufaturing industry on their home planet to work, otherwise Roshar or Sel would just have the control over them. Not to mention, it should be possible with unsealed metalminds somehow.

Could you. Remove the identity of a fused via hemalurgy, than extract the soul/spren with a raysium dagger and insert it into another Singer? As identity is away, would the Singers identity take over and grant them the surge of that singer without dying?

I mean the standard rifles and not the giant laser. Based on the technology development of the medallions. How do you think they managed it? Ots probably based the heat generating medallions or some form metal-moving. Anyone with more understanding of physics any ideas?

I dont think tapping f-nicrosil allows you to access more investiture. I think it makes you just better at it and have less investiture loss. If you would gain alomantix powers, the force of the metal you burn would be maybe stronger. To the point similar to ancient mistboen. Being able to move metal inside bodies or controling Kandra. And in case of feruchemy probably you loose less investiture when you tap faster.

Ok. But can you drain a metalmjnd faster without loosing access investiture? For example goldminds can be deained faster to make yourself quickheal or heal normally impossible wounds. But you loose access health that way. Could A-Duralumin help?

Are you saying Stormlight is kinetic but Biochroma is static? I thought kinetic is when its actively used in something, like lashing, burning or lightweaving. While static is basicly a dormant power source. Like in metalminds and gemstones? And what about the time anti-void light was injected into the fused? Was that not the transfer of static investiture? But they literally absorbed a cognitive shadow. Including their soul with a raysium dagger? How can that be more sticky. If you could steal biochroma with hemalurgy, but probably not a whole soul?

Can you drain that way a metalmind realy fast, without to loose access investiture like if you would drain it manifold? And can you do tge opposite? Fill a metalmind realy fast and drain yourself of something to the extreme? Like make yourself temporarily extremly light (maybe phasing is possible because of the concentration of mass?), make yourself extremly depresseed and so on?

But Raysium is capable of moving stormlight. Even the one that has been breathed in by the knight. Like in the battle at heartstone were a fused stabbed multible times into Kaladin to drain him. So if stormlight, the gaseos investiture lf Honor can be drained. Why not the biochroma, the gaseos investiture of Endowment?

And is there a way to use the biichroma?

Basicly if they could give themselfs this way even more powerfull bodies, as they dont need voidlight for most healings. I especially thought it would be interesting with the surge of transformation, as Fused can transform body parts into other materials without any problem, like their breath or weapons that punctioated their bodies. With a Kandra body, they may even be able to transform their flesh.

Perhaps with a spike or medallion in mental speed to coordinate it better? F-Steel supposedly does allow one too to increase tap and burn. But that feels more redundant to use as Steel already provides speed.

It was stated that when you change your weight mid air, there is some comverging of energy. Did Wax underuse his power? Could you do a dash (the martial arts fast step) with high mass. Mit dash decrease drasticly, and in that case dash faster and farther than normally? Because the energy in the air would be converged to speed?

I am currently reading a book, where a character has perfect control over their body, down to a molecular level. Its not enirely explored in my opinion. But that person has, perfect memory, perfect coordination, has infused their muscles with carbon over years of injection. Has increased their bone density to a high level. There are some over things. Like growing bone armor from injection hogh lethel dosages of calcium and magnaesium or shooting blood like a watersaw. How much could a Kandra copy that?

Ok... These are new... We have heard in the songs already about Shadowform but never saw them. It was I believe known its a form of power, but not entirely what exactly they do. Well here we see. Appearently they were an experiment by Mishra. Bonding with shadowspren, these Regals loose their corporal forms and just become shadows that travel the surfaces. Except their gemhearts, which stay physicly manifested. But it seems you can sharpen such a gemheart and insert them into you like Hemalurgic spike and the Regals take over your body and you become a complete new form of being. They are kinda half corporeal and can move between cracks, teleport into near shadows, can create shadowclaws and are hard to hit. SPOILER TO WIND AND TRUTH! My main point is... If the spike inducing is something of hemalurgic nature... Than that adds a bit more to it. We already saw gems being used like hemalurgic spikes but now we know Spren can alter the nature of a hemalurgic spike perhaps. I guess as long as something akin to a soul is in the spike, it can be used that way?

Except of the storypoints that I can include in a a game, like you dont have to carry the plate as it is summonable and thereby is not counted to your carryweight or that a Radiant cannot use normal Shardplate because of the screams. There seems to be no stat difference between those 2, unless I have not seen something. Like radiant has as many charges as a deadshardplate appearently.

Cannot remember how the world is called in Emberdark. Buts it mentioned that the perpendiculartiy their disppaeared. 2 ways that can happen, is if the Shard disappears from the world and second that Nightblood can make it collapse. Not clear if stays drained, but probably it will take time before enough is gathered for a new perpendicularity.

Gonna be honest. Kinda disappointing that there is no new hybrid surge in the rpg. Like only reverse lashing and physical illusion are the only ones and we already knew them. (Maybe the truthwatchers too. Kinda reminds of emotional manipulation or soul manipulation. Which kinda fits to be honest) All others are just game mechanics rather than real surges. Gonna ask myself, do the other orders not have any hybrid surges or is it just not shown yet? If the former, a bit disappointing and screws a bit with the magic system, if the later speaks against the rpg as when the books come out in 10 years and we find out more, than the rpg-books need to be changed.
