Storing weight is one of the strangest abilities of Feruchemy. You can increase and decrease your weight without affecting significantly your body autonomy, but it does not affect your density. It seems also to be unable to give you access to the energy from hauling around heavy arms. Which results in close combat only be able to be used in „falling“ kind of attacks. But you are still accessible to the force of the weight and can move heavy metals that would normally be outside the physical strengh of a coinshooter. Than there are the medallions that can decrease not only ones weight, but everything that you can carry. Otherwise the airships would not be able to carry cargo. And than you have the iron shackles that Sigzil endured on Canticle that made him heavier but do that he felt it and was sluggish. So. Iron feruchemy seems to have many applications and can be altered. Do you think in the future its possible to alter alter density and make somebody not only heavier but also tougher and stronger? Or maybe create swords that wield like normal blades for the wielder but heavier for the attacked one.

Its not clear yet if you cannot "clean" the investiture from allomancy. There are multible ways we have seen people remove the key to a investiture. Ether by direct force like Shallan did in WaT or like Sigzil with an Emberheart. Or like Navani discovered in RoW.

Coppermind states that as long as a part of somebody is inside the body. The whole effect is affecting them. So what if something big like a Chasmfiend is touching it if you create a giant krakenlike creature with Midnight aether. Would it be affected normaly and flail its appendages at highper speed outside the bubble?

Lets say they are the child of a Nalthien Awakner and an Alomancer world hopper. Born and raised on Nalthis. Maybe even got a breath. Got their power from the genes and than died and Returned. Would they keep their alomantic power?

Brandon announced a few days ago the new board game "shards of creation". In which new designs for the shards will appear. Two shards that have been shown now anew, are Devotion and Dominion. If I remember correctly. Dominion was for a long time to believed to be a woman? Based on a comment of Sanderson. Or at least what i read in Coppermind. But the new design is obviously male. So ether Domininion changed their gender, like you can do with enough Invesiture if that is the way you envision yourself. Or its retcont and Dominion has always been a man.

You know. I could imagine the book of nails, to be quite the good setting for the Mistborn rpg. A mysterious book that holds the secrets to the universe and the dead and if it lands in the wrong hands, it would mean doom? Sounds like a quest to me!

Valid position. But usually Sanderson is pretty safe with making any claims. Especially since he knows how much the fans want to see it. For one, he announced he will now write the sceenplay for it. And second I doubt he would make such claims without having some kind of backing. Like a contract.

Is infrared not too big for atoms? To see atoms i think you need smaller light than even X-ray.

But seeing atoms, is beyond sight. Its not like with the best microscope you can zoom in. Light that interacts with atoms is beyond our visual spectrum. So Twinborn can actualy see more „light“

Can they even see certain particles beyond us and have practicly X-ray vision? Or maybe echo location as their sense for sound and vibration increases?

Whenever we meet a shard in one of the books we get a glimpse of their infinite self and what they represent. When we mer Preservation we got things like never changing mountains, or the deep dark untouched depths of an ocean cliff. Unchanging and isolated. When we looked at Ruin, we saw shredded darkness. As darkness was too complete. Or the winds that ever so slightly chip away on stone and make it smaller. When we saw Odium. We saw a 1000 kisses, pain of wars and rage as hot as a burning sun. What do you think would happen if you see another one? My theories: Cultivation. Its clear. Forests, life and even death. The life circle from plants being sproutet, to animals eating them and at the end bacteria forming the rotting corpse into soil again. Honor would be for me, the weight of a kings crown. The iron clank of iron shackles. The satisfying feeling of keeping a promise or finding your lost bretheren after an epic battle and giving them a hand. Autonomy i imagine. The lone wolf howling at the moon. Or the lone twig breaking in a silent forest breaking. Small but penetrating and asuring itself in the silence of the night. The peacock showing its feathers and the isolation of a lost island. What are yours?

I cannot find anywhere a clear leveling table for humans. I know that each level they get 1 talent and 1 additional heroic talent each 5. But how are skills, attributes and health leveled?

Would be just cool if we see someone in future see manipulate the identity of others and it changes their personality or body in some way. Make someone believe they are chicken like during a hypnotism or something. Or somebody swap bodies from one to another.

Just a little theory that I thougth up. Nightblood had a journey between Vasher and Nales hands. It was probabyl in the hands of the nightwatcher too. But its unclear if it was in its possession or if it could aquire it in my opinion. So there is reason to believe that Ishi had the blade before he agve it Nale and to give Szeth as another obstacle to become the pillar that would replace Taln. Or at least Nale aquired it under Ishis orders. So how did Ishi find out about it? Probably by connection to the planet through the well.

Just started the series „the expanse“. People that live in space, have problems living on planets. And asked myself if Rosharans have the same problems?

I recently saw a video of the youtube channel "Kurzgesagt" about roaming planets. Realy interesting video about how, if a planet is by accident thrown out of the gravitational field of a star, than it could roam the universe as a singular agent. It would loose like 98% of its energy, as the proximity to a star would be missed, whihc would result in the freezing of a the surface to near to 0 Kelvin. But around 2% of the worlds (ours at least) warmth and energy comes from the core of it. Theoreticle, its possible that deep under a layer of ice, liquid water is found, that is heated from the core. And from that life could be created as well. The technology of the life could be have problems, because they cannot use fire for smithing (unless there are other ways I am not sure of) and they would be trapped in there own little world under kilimotor deep ice, never knowing what is beyond their ceiling. What if such a world existed in the cosmere. Perhaps with access to investiture. Maybe an aquatic based magic system, similar to water bending? Or something else? Would such a planet have a perpendicularity? Or would they only be discovered by chance, as they come closer to another shardic world?

Just an idea I wanted to share and maybe open a threat for the ideas for resonances of different metalic arts. Maybe we can even discuss hybrid powers, like reverse lashing, and steel bubble and think about other possible ones. So to pewter and copper. How about perfect muscle memory. They can execute physcial maneauvirsm over and over again. Learn physcial skills in minutes and similar.

Like if you would give a Herald, Returend or Fused a piece of Lerasium or some biochramatic breath. Would their natural physiology resist it?

I think the main reason is that the Shard behind it is „endowment“ The act of giving practicly. No strings attached. The investiture is inheritly build on being transferable.

Normaly its impossible to store in metalminds during sleep (except if you are storing sleep itself). But during era 2 we found out that the medallions can do that. As the crews of the airships had sleeping quarters and needed to store their weight even during their sleeping hours or the ships would sink. So... If you would create a medallion that is part F-Bronze (wakefulness) and part anything else. You could force people to sleep for sedation and make them store anything in their sleep against their will. The Bronze part would probably be even easier to produce. As I believe the medallions are partly created from hemalurgy and a spike can be split into multbible ones. They are just worse. That would be not a problem, as all you need is to make them store enough to sleep. The ammount that gets tapped does not matter. The only question is hoq to make the metalminds identiless. To use for brouder usage.

Just my general thought? Not sure if the mistwraith would be feasable because the possession needs to be consented and the gemheart needs to be part connected to their spiritual web probably. A Kandra could be maybe possible, as they could consent (would mean their death of course.) and it kinda is implied that their truebodies are part of them because of their perception. But on the other hand, investiture resists, so who knows. A soulcasting fused would be interesting the most, as they can soulcast their bodies into different materials. Like making their breath toxic gas or evaporate blades that penetrated them. A kandra body could allow for more sophisticated soulcasting as they could form their bodies into shape before transforming them.
