Coppermind states that as long as a part of somebody is inside the body. The whole effect is affecting them. So what if something big like a Chasmfiend is touching it if you create a giant krakenlike creature with Midnight aether. Would it be affected normaly and flail its appendages at highper speed outside the bubble?

Brandon announced a few days ago the new board game "shards of creation". In which new designs for the shards will appear. Two shards that have been shown now anew, are Devotion and Dominion. If I remember correctly. Dominion was for a long time to believed to be a woman? Based on a comment of Sanderson. Or at least what i read in Coppermind. But the new design is obviously male. So ether Domininion changed their gender, like you can do with enough Invesiture if that is the way you envision yourself. Or its retcont and Dominion has always been a man.

Which potential Cosmere projects are you most interested in?

You know. I could imagine the book of nails, to be quite the good setting for the Mistborn rpg. A mysterious book that holds the secrets to the universe and the dead and if it lands in the wrong hands, it would mean doom? Sounds like a quest to me! -
Valid position. But usually Sanderson is pretty safe with making any claims. Especially since he knows how much the fans want to see it. For one, he announced he will now write the sceenplay for it. And second I doubt he would make such claims without having some kind of backing. Like a contract.

Sanderson just announced on r/cosmere threat a production with Apple for a Misbtorn movie! I am so hyped!

(Don‘t know how to link certain Snaderson quotes) Sanderson mentioned now that Tincompounders could see axioms(atoms) when they go compound. If we gomthis far. Can they even see certain particles beyond us and have practicly X-ray vision? Or maybe echo location as their sense for sound and vibration increases?

Whenever we meet a shard in one of the books we get a glimpse of their infinite self and what they represent. When we mer Preservation we got things like never changing mountains, or the deep dark untouched depths of an ocean cliff. Unchanging and isolated. When we looked at Ruin, we saw shredded darkness. As darkness was too complete. Or the winds that ever so slightly chip away on stone and make it smaller. When we saw Odium. We saw a 1000 kisses, pain of wars and rage as hot as a burning sun. What do you think would happen if you see another one? My theories: Cultivation. Its clear. Forests, life and even death. The life circle from plants being sproutet, to animals eating them and at the end bacteria forming the rotting corpse into soil again. Honor would be for me, the weight of a kings crown. The iron clank of iron shackles. The satisfying feeling of keeping a promise or finding your lost bretheren after an epic battle and giving them a hand. Autonomy i imagine. The lone wolf howling at the moon. Or the lone twig breaking in a silent forest breaking. Small but penetrating and asuring itself in the silence of the night. The peacock showing its feathers and the isolation of a lost island. What are yours?

I cannot find anywhere a clear leveling table for humans. I know that each level they get 1 talent and 1 additional heroic talent each 5. But how are skills, attributes and health leveled?

Just a little theory that I thougth up. Nightblood had a journey between Vasher and Nales hands. It was probabyl in the hands of the nightwatcher too. But its unclear if it was in its possession or if it could aquire it in my opinion. So there is reason to believe that Ishi had the blade before he agve it Nale and to give Szeth as another obstacle to become the pillar that would replace Taln. Or at least Nale aquired it under Ishis orders. So how did Ishi find out about it? Probably by connection to the planet through the well.

I recently saw a video of the youtube channel "Kurzgesagt" about roaming planets. Realy interesting video about how, if a planet is by accident thrown out of the gravitational field of a star, than it could roam the universe as a singular agent. It would loose like 98% of its energy, as the proximity to a star would be missed, whihc would result in the freezing of a the surface to near to 0 Kelvin. But around 2% of the worlds (ours at least) warmth and energy comes from the core of it. Theoreticle, its possible that deep under a layer of ice, liquid water is found, that is heated from the core. And from that life could be created as well. The technology of the life could be have problems, because they cannot use fire for smithing (unless there are other ways I am not sure of) and they would be trapped in there own little world under kilimotor deep ice, never knowing what is beyond their ceiling. What if such a world existed in the cosmere. Perhaps with access to investiture. Maybe an aquatic based magic system, similar to water bending? Or something else? Would such a planet have a perpendicularity? Or would they only be discovered by chance, as they come closer to another shardic world?

Just an idea I wanted to share and maybe open a threat for the ideas for resonances of different metalic arts. Maybe we can even discuss hybrid powers, like reverse lashing, and steel bubble and think about other possible ones. So to pewter and copper. How about perfect muscle memory. They can execute physcial maneauvirsm over and over again. Learn physcial skills in minutes and similar.

I mean that the receiver has no string attached. Normally the meaning is for the receiver and not the giver.

I think the main reason is that the Shard behind it is „endowment“ The act of giving practicly. No strings attached. The investiture is inheritly build on being transferable.

Normaly its impossible to store in metalminds during sleep (except if you are storing sleep itself). But during era 2 we found out that the medallions can do that. As the crews of the airships had sleeping quarters and needed to store their weight even during their sleeping hours or the ships would sink. So... If you would create a medallion that is part F-Bronze (wakefulness) and part anything else. You could force people to sleep for sedation and make them store anything in their sleep against their will. The Bronze part would probably be even easier to produce. As I believe the medallions are partly created from hemalurgy and a spike can be split into multbible ones. They are just worse. That would be not a problem, as all you need is to make them store enough to sleep. The ammount that gets tapped does not matter. The only question is hoq to make the metalminds identiless. To use for brouder usage.

Just my general thought? Not sure if the mistwraith would be feasable because the possession needs to be consented and the gemheart needs to be part connected to their spiritual web probably. A Kandra could be maybe possible, as they could consent (would mean their death of course.) and it kinda is implied that their truebodies are part of them because of their perception. But on the other hand, investiture resists, so who knows. A soulcasting fused would be interesting the most, as they can soulcast their bodies into different materials. Like making their breath toxic gas or evaporate blades that penetrated them. A kandra body could allow for more sophisticated soulcasting as they could form their bodies into shape before transforming them.

I have recently thought about the ammount of different kind of abilities that manipulates their own senses or give them additional. And just for the fun of it, I wanted to make a list. And yes, I know. I am thinking a bit too much about the Cosmere in my freetime. Scadrial: - Tinburning: Makes all your senses stronger. You can hear, see, smell better. But are also more sensbile against loud noise, bright light and pain. - Bronzeburning: You can sense active investiture. Whenever somebody is burning a metal, tapping a metalmind or using a surge or another active invested art, than you can sense a pulse. Trained users, can distinguish the pulses and see what invested art is used, how strong or in some cases even in which applications, like knowing which emotion is being manipulated with emotional allomancy. They can also sense other investiture currents. Like Preservations wave of the well of ascension, the tones of roshar or the Current. - Metalvision: Granted from 1 of 2 allomantic metals. Iron or Steel. While burning blue lines appear from your body pointing to metals (allomantic influencable metals, so almost everything except Aluminium, some of its alloys, and invested metals). Allowing you to sense metals around you. The upgraded version is the metalspike-vision, made by spiking ones eyes with certain spikes. Those can see metals more clearly, without burning too. They can see metals inside humans and small traces of it all around them. Making them even able to see someones heartbeat. - Goldburning and Malatiumburning: Able to see past and alternatives lifes of yourself and others. This ability is not clear realy. -Electrum and Atiumburning: The ability to see future vision in form of shadows of yours and others (depending on metals). And the capability to process it. Inclduing things that you dont see like attacks that come from behind you. Only other fortune telling abilities can interfere. - Tintapping: You can store and tapping sensory abilites. Make yourself blind, deaf or painresistent for a while to make yourself see hear and similar better. It seems not to make one more sensible, like tinburning, but rather increases your range. Its not entirely clear how it differs. It can also store some other supernatural sense abilites, like bronzeburning and lifesensing (later). - Duralumintapping: This one is a bit iffy. We dont know all things its capable of doing, but one of them is as a translation device. Under right usage. Somebody can understand and speak the language of a local land. -Kelsiers mind reading abilites: As he became a cognitive shadow, he can touch the souls off people while he was in the cognitive realm. Seeing their inner thoughts and even influence them to a degree. Nalthis: - Perfect pitch and perfect color recognition. Not entirely sensory ability as more the understanding of the information you get to process. You can distinguish tones and colors perfectly. - Lifesense: You get 3D like sense around you and you can sense life around you. In reality its probably the ability to sense static (and maybe innate) investiture. Investiture that lies dormant to be used for later. You can sense the base investiture of other humans and living forms. Though if they are drabs (less investiture than a normal human) they become unsensable. The stronger something is invested, generally the stronger the sense is triggered. People can as well sense Spren and other invested beings like items, if their lifesense is strong enough. Roshar: -Soulvision: The abiltiy to see into the cognitive realm. An ability that only soulcasters can do. They can look into the other realm. It also seems they can see to a certain degree the souls of other souls (but I am not sure.) - Truthwatching: Not sure if its all Truthwatchers can do or only corrupted ones. It seems the later one. They can see different outcomes of the future in form of different visual cues. One of the Forms of power can do something similar. But the details are unknown. - Stonetalking: The Willshapers (Maybe Stonewards too) can talk to stone and their memories. Learn from them. Not much explored so far. - Bondsmithing: They have probably the widest area of possibility and changes from bondsmith to bondsmith slightly too. They can see connections between different things. Or can build connections to other things to learn about them. Like looking into their soul, see which object belongs to another and similar. The Highstorm-Radiant can also look through the eyes of the highstorm while the Siblings-Radiant can see and senese everything that happens in Urithiru. -Envoyform: The Form of power, allows you to understand, speak and read different languages. -Sprenvision: The ability to see Spren that otherwise would be invisble. Some Horneater and with some gemspikes in the eyes, you can see them. -Fortunedrawing: Shallan has some fortune abilities, based on the ability to draw. She can draw potential future outcomes sometimes when she is in a drawzone. Sel: -Bloodseal-sensing: The only one that comes to mind from Sel. The ability to make trigger like reaction caused by blood. The only application is though the usage of fresh blood of a person on a door. If that person leaves through that door, a trigger signal is send to the caster. Threnody: -Blood/Fire-sensing: The cognitive shadows of that planet can sense too loud noises, sparks and especialy blood. -Charred shared senses: The Charred can sense the emotions of their leader. Drominad/ First of the Sun: - Future Death vision: An ability granted and owened by a certain Aviar. The ability to see future possible deaths. Allowing the person to avoid this death. - Mindsensing: Some animals on that planet can sense other people. Not entirely clear if its similar to life sense. But a certain kind of Aviar can shield the person from that. Some unclear: -There are some species that can sense Connection. Allowing them to find people with objects that they owned that builded a connection to it. -Technic sense: People of the grand apparatus have the ability to interact with technology. -Intent sensing: The primal aethers that can implent themselfs in people, can sense murderous intent to a certain degree to protect the host. I think thats about it. Not including Shards for this list. They are a bit cheatery.
