  1. Man, Iyatil’s spren made the poll over poor Adolin!
  2. Perhaps Dai-Gonarthis is influencing Ishar?
  3. Brandon has really gone out of his way to show us that Roshar is a created system that shouldn’t naturally exist. I am so curious as to its purpose.
  4. Also, a minor plot point but… anyone know what animal this references? I couldn’t think of any large Scadrian fauna, so maybe it’s something from the south.
  5. Also - if the bright blue figure is possibly Syl, with brighter blue skin than any known human population, do we think the Siah Aimians might be descended from honorspren? In a similar vein to how the light blue Natanatans are thought to come from human/Aimian mixing? They do act very spren-like, with the shapeshifting and the reverse shadow/Cognitive realm connection. I like the proposal earlier that 5th ideal Radiant spren can manifest fully in the physical realm - could give some credence to this.
  6. So I had the impression that the window with the 12 people in the field was very zoomed out - such that the only recognizable traits would be skin and hair color, and maybe some rough clothing shapes. I’m not surprised Renarin couldn’t recognize specific people’s features. This is what I had in mind…
  7. I wondered if the humans traveling to Shinovar from Ashyn actually brought their own ecology with them - if the grass and trees are not native to Roshar at all. Or maybe even if the mountains which shelter Shinovar from the storms and make this ecology feasible were not there when the humans arrived, and were created specifically to give them a sheltered (and geographically separated) home to exist.
  8. Reminds me of soulstamping - she’s giving herself a new past, in a way.
  9. I’ve seen others suggest it may be Hoid’s memory of his conversation with TOdium - the altered memory.
  10. From Chapter 26… Is anyone else interpreting this to mean that they will try and confine the power of an entire shard (or multiple of them), using BAM’s imprisonment as a model? I can certainly see why some with Scadrian heritage might feel that shardic powers just cause too many problems for any sentient vessel to hold, and would be better off neutered and sequestered somewhere they can’t make trouble.
  11. I could definitely see one of the visions Dalinar encounters later being Stormfather’s conversation with Gavilar on the night of his death, or even more excerpts from their relationship. So I do think Dalinar will eventually confront the fact that his brother was not the person he thought, even without Gavilar being alive.
  12. Your last option is interesting, and I do see merit to the idea of Honor being alive - but if Tanavast is in hiding, why would he be sending these visions to various people encouraging them to investigate further and “unite them”?
  13. I’ve wondered for a while if the Iriali originated on Yolen, and when I looked at the Cusicech art recently I suddenly thought it looks like a Sho Del. Not enough to build a real theory (although I like the idea that the Iriali One is Adonalsium splintered into many different life experiences) but thought that was interesting. Perhaps the Iriali consciousness shaped this being of Investiture into a more familiar form?
  14. @Pleese In White Sand, Baon carries and uses guns, so that seems most likely here.
  15. Did the Terriswoman (assuming this is Axindweth) leave a letter on behalf of Hoid or were there two letters?
  16. This occurred to me when I saw Ishar’s ability to steal a spren bond - maybe Dalinar or another level 5 Bondsmith could do the same for the deadeye spren. Or someone wielding the Bondsmith honorblade.
  17. I wonder if Dalinar would be able to transfer Maya’s broken bond/connection from her (presumably) dead Radiant to Adolin, and then Adolin would be able to reactivate it by swearing oaths?
