  1. There will definitely be more Alloy books. Check out this post for more information. I sort of like the idea of using "The Alloy of _____" for the titles, but we'll have to see. I certainly haven't been disappointed with Brandon's previous book titles.
  2. RP tools has some neat stuff, including auto-calculating character sheets.
  3. Just a quick question. The rules say to start at 8 in each stat, but the template says 10. Which are we using as a base for our builds?
  4. If you mean the Shards of dead dinosaurs, then yes!
  5. It's obviously just a cousin to the Magic Cue Ball. Don't be so paranoid.
  6. Besides, having a mix of newbies and experienced players in the party will be a good thing, I think. And then there's the fact that I wanted my own husband to join anyways....
  7. I'm looking into rolling hooks for forums, but so far, no dice. .... Okay, that was horrible. Anyways, I'm moving this to Eero's new subforum!
  8. Weird, you're showing up for me. o_O I wonder what's wrong? Also, doubleposting from a GMod? Le GASP! Anyways, I'll take a look. I might be able to borrow someone's books for perusal as well; we'll have to see.
  9. A Shaving of Adonalsium, huh? I think that should be your new member title.
  10. It happens to the best of us. I would like to announce that I am addicted to brownies. Yum. <3
  11. There are any number of reasons why the Seventeenth Shard are looking for Hoid. This could possibly be one of them - or they could be trying to recruit him, kill him, or even track him down for that game of Shelldry he skipped out on. Unfortunately, we don't have nearly enough information to form a solid theory on it yet.
  12. The thing is, Eero, even though I'm slightly more familiar with 4e's mechanics, I'm still relatively new to D&D as a whole, so I'm pretty flexible. I'll see what I can do about getting my hands on the rules and go from there. I normally tend to play casters, but since the majority of us seem to have the same feelings, I might try something new. Is there any particular campaign setting I should be looking at in terms of lore, deities, etc? I didn't see anything (except the dungeon name) mentioned specifically, but I might have missed it somehow.
  13. OMG, I was so confused at the beginning of this clip. THe song is so catchy, though! I love it! And the video is adorable. <3 I wish I lived in a musical. I really do. Also, in the beginning, did anyone else hear "the Quidditch squeeze" instead of "the credit squeeze"?
  14. Honestly, I am more than okay with that. XD STO is definitely a casual game for me; I don't think I'll even be reaching that level anytime soon. That said, if there are enough of us, would anyone be interested in forming a 17S fleet?
  15. Amazing ones. And that's not even counting his unpublished works...
  16. I was told you didn't receive a cookie, and that does indeed appear to be the case. Consider this gross oversight rectified! Oh, and welcome.
  17. So, since Star Trek Online went Free to Play recently, I thought I'd give it a whirl, and it's actually pretty fun. I still kind of fail at the ship controls (lol), but I'm enjoying it. So who else here plays? What do you think of the game?
  18. You're close, though!
  19. I honestly don't care much about necro; as long as you have something relevant to say, I don't really fuss over it. And cool, I'm glad to see more people joining!
  20. The Alloy series definitely isn't part of the three trilogies, as was confirmed by Brandon at the release party. Currently, the Mistborn series looks like this: The Original Trilogy - TFE, WoA, HoA The Mistborn Adventures - Beginning with Alloy of Law, set 341 years later. Unknown number of volumes. [*]The Second Trilogy - set in Scadrial's rough equivalent of our modern day [*]The Third Trilogy - set in Scadrial's future. This will be a sci-fi trilogy in addition to fantasy, and will feature Hoid as a principal character.
  21. I'm definitely interested in joining - I'd probably play either a meelee class of some sort or a Sorcerer - but I have to be honest: I'm not entirely sure if I'll have time to commit, due to some stuff we're working on for MBI and my already massive time commitment over there. Any idea what you want the OoC pacing to be like, Eero? Also, I'm fond of the Spellblade class in 4e. Is there anything like that in 3.5, and would you recommend it for relative DnD newbies?
  22. Welcome, Telcontar! I love the username. Zas has done a great job of answering your questions, but I have one of my own: if you don't mind my asking, what's your native language? I love languages, so I'm curious. Also, have a cookie!
  23. Honestly, I think you'd be hard-pressed to find people on this forum who don't think Brandon is a creative genius. Welcome, Rayonn! I'm glad you decided to come active! Have a cookie!
  24. Or, for all you normal people out there, it's in Orlando. Now I know we're scattered all over the place, but I also know there are a few fellow Floridians lurking around here somewhere. So, my question is this: is anyone going to MegaCon this month? It'd be fun to meet up with some fellow Sharders!
  25. Yeah, sometimes they turn out funny. I saw one with "OAF" on it yesterday. I actually do plan on getting a custom plate cover next time I'm in my hometown. I won't tell you what it is, but I think y'all will like it.
