  1. That sounds incredibly dangerous! XD Also, Eero, don't tempt me.
  2. If you look at the blogs page, you'll find out why we registered the Brandon account. It's so it shows up as Brandon posting his own blog entries, as opposed to Eric or some random account. It's Brandon's to take, any time he wants it, should he change his mind and come join us in the timesink glorious community that is 17th Shard.
  3. Thanks, guys! Also: It would be easier for me to just change the site's color scheme to match my car.
  4. Her real name is Akane, but you can call her ShardCar if you want. So, a few months back, my car was paid off in her entirety (yay!), and for insurance purposes, finally transferred into my name. And when that happened, I knew I had to get an awesome license plate as tribute to an even more awesome fandom. So, here we go: ShardCar.
  5. I'm onto you, Eero! You and your nefarious bicycle-jousting schemes!
  6. There are only a certain number of Inquisitors in the Final Empire at one time, according to Brandon (can anyone remember where that quote is?) - I think the number is around 30 or so. Since they aren't constantly making new Inquisitors, it's likely that a Tineye sacrifice just wasn't needed at that time. Plus, Kelsier and Mare had the audacity to break into Kredik Shaw itself. TLR might have wanted them to pay for that more dearly than just death-by-spiking.
  7. The question about whether zombies can use Allomancy really depends on the "zombie canon" you follow, as was said before. For example, in The Walking Dead, only the brain stem is active. The vast majority of zombies can pretty much only move, kill, and eat, though a couple of them have been observed to remember how to use primitive tools like rocks, and can attempt to climb over obstacles given enough time. My guess is that even if the instinct to use Allomancy remains (provided they even can, since in this particular example canon, the soul is absent by this point), they wouldn't have the cognitive processes necessary to apply it very well. Remember that even before Vin knew she was an Allomancer and was using her "Luck," she knew she was doing something and was applying it logically to her situation. Zombie Thugs, however, would be terrifying. Thankfully, though, I don't think we'd have to worry about that too long thanks to pewter's rapid burn rate.
  8. Holy crap, you had that many? That's insane!
  9. Risky - extremely risky - but it would definitely work. It would also work with ranged weapons if you don't feel like taking that gamble, especially with the fast burn rate.

    Inquisitor

    I second that motion.
  11. You know, come to think of it, bendalloy would be awesome for quick reloads, especially if you use a weapon like a crossbow that takes a little more time than dropping one magazine and inserting another.
  12. That's a pretty intense plan, but don't forget that you'd have to go around afterwards picking off any partial zombies that might still be lying around, since you have to get them in the brain to permanently re-kill them. The great thing about Coinshots is that they're silent, so you don't have to worry about attracting attention when you shoot them. Soothers to keep people calm and rational, as was mentioned, and Rioters would be great if, say, a member of your group freezes up at the wrong moment and you needed to get them moving again. Tineyes for watch, obviously, as long as they can stand the smell, Pewterarms for the intense physical work, etc.
  13. Either that, or they'd think they're some sort of weird tribal symbols or something. I actually ran across a random RP site that used the Allomantic symbols as the insignia of a collection of Vampire-hunter clans. When asked why, the admin of the site responded that it was because they look cool and no one would recognize them as being from Mistborn. It was really bizarre. o__O And we'll just have to take pictures so our fellow Sharders can enjoy them too! (Or, you know, said fellow Sharders could come swing dancing with us... )
  14. Are they ingredients for Mistborn Swing Dancing cupcakes? Because that would be awesome. .... I just had an idea for our next Random Adventures... XD
  15. Hey, it's not your fault you'd just Snapped! Honestly, I think the idea of using Allomancy in the Zombie Apocalypse deserves a thread. It's that awesome.
  16. Psh, everyone knows it's the spikes you have to watch out for. I mean, what? I didn't say anything. Why are you looking at me like that?

    Inquisitor

You really nailed the look and feel of Steel Inquisitors. I love it!
  18. Happy Birthday!

  19. Actually, I'd go with Elantris before Way of Kings. Things match up better that way.
  20. Merry is here at last! Wahahahaha! Welcome! Have our customary cookie. As for suggestions, I'd pick Alloy of Law for you next. Then Warbreaker, maybe? Or Alcatraz. Those are fun, and a quick read. EDIT: Upvoted for the Tobuscus reference.
  21. Welcome to 17S! :D

  22. No, but hackers are dumb too.
  23. Blue, huh? Sounds cool!
  24. I would like to announce that hackers are dumb. That is all.
  25. Something like that. Just watch out for the spikes.
