I feel you. I did basically the same thing. Though I didn’t actually want to choose fill Feruchemist because I don’t actually want to feel sucky most of the time for relatively small gains. Even if it’s still more versatile and useful for the average person That being said, I chose Mistborn because it seemed fun and Fullborn because it had that alongside convenience and manageable Feruchemy.

We know that you can theoretically fill exactly as much attribute as you have and maintain it for as long as you have the coherent ability to do Feruchemy. Problem is most attributes will wreck your body and possibly kill you. Quick list Steel (Speed): Unclear exactly, but I guess your heart stops moving and you die Iron (Weight): Again not sure what this would do. I assume you’d break something in your body and die, but I don’t know what or how Tin (Senses): You could go willingly blind or deaf and not die. Honestly, this may be one of the few metals where it’s feasible to fully tap Pewter (Muscle): Your muscles are basically gone and you die Bronze (Wakefulness): It seems like the filling a metal mind in your sleep is a result of continuously waking up and falling back asleep, at least subconsciously. Maybe you’d go into a coma or die if you fully filled. Idk Copper (Memories): You get amnesia but don’t die Zinc (Mental Speed): Your brain turns off and you die or become a vegetable Brass (Heat): You freeze to death. Maybe you can stop that by staying in a fire or something but it’d be tricky Gold (Health): You get sick and die Electrum: You become suicidally depressed and maybe don’t ever want to regain determination Cadmium (Breath): You suffocate and die Bendalloy (Nutrients): You starve or dehydrate. Aluminum (Identity): You might have trouble healing, but this one is specifically used for unkeywd metalminds and it’s not like there are that many known uses for higher Identity anyway Duralumin (Connection): Depends on how exactly Connection works. It could be useful and make people not notice you, but it could also make you a sociopath (you don’t care about others) Chromium (Forturne) : I guess you’d be more likely to make stupid mistakes or other bad things. Not instantly lethal Nicrosol (Investiture): Don’t know enough about this one to say anything This also doesn’t account for any other damage that may come from filling at 50% or something. Tin is really the only one you can mega drain and even that has big trade offs. Makes sense that people stay at around 80% As for how high you can go, the most easily measurable feat that comes to my mind is Marasi making a speed vacuum. You’d need around 7 times the speed of sound for about 7200 km/hr or 4483 mph. That’s around 700 times faster than your average human, give or take. If we assume most attribute provide similar protection, then you can multiply the same number by the base human ability to get a rough idea. That being said, you would probably need to compound the strength of Allomantic pewter instead of actually growing all those muscles. We also don’t know the exact cap when your Feruchemy stops protecting you well enough, but even a few hundred times better is good enough for basically anything.

We know by WoB that it’s possible to store Allomantic senses, among other things NewbSombrero Can Feruchemical tin store Allomantically granted senses like bronze sense? Brandon Sanderson Possible. General Signed Books 2018 (Feb. 8, 2018) Naturally, this would apply to atium, which is definitely a separate sense that even the blind can use. So a Fullborn could have atium sight all the time. In fact, you could probably Compound up to seeing the Spiritual Realm. Given this, I have a few questions 1. Would the constant supply of atium connect you to Ruin and make you more likely to destroy stuff? 2. Could you ascend to Ruin if you compounded enough atium-tin or would it only be coded to the sense part? 3. Did the Lord Ruler know this was a thing? Is there any evidence to prove he didn’t? Edit: Wanted to clarify a few more things. Here’s the WoB about using atium while blind Herowannabe I recently picked up the Mistborn Adventure game and am loving it. I made a character who is a blind Mistborn because hey, I thought it would make for some interesting possibilities. As I understand Allomancy, he can hear/sense well enough to get around with Tin, plus even though he's blind he can still "see" steel lines (like the inquisitors), and I assume Atium would work the same way- that is, he could still "see" Atium shadows. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Brandon Sanderson No, you're right. That works. He'd have to burn metals a LOT though. It might warp him a little. /r/fantasy AMA 2013 (April 15, 2013) I guess you could argue that atium doesn’t become a proper sense unless you become a savant, but that doesn’t quite make sense. You’d have to intepret “burns metals a lot” as “can only use the sense by becoming a savant”. As opposed to “will need to rely on this sense and probably become a savant”. I also suspect that becoming a savant in any pure God Metal causes you to ascend, thought it might just be lerasium. But that just makes me even less sure of whether you could use Era 1 atium filtered through tin to get there. If we intepret Elend’s vision of the Spiritual Realm in HoA as basically mimicking refined atium, then maybe you can Ascend with the tin hack Personally, my theory on God Metal ascension is not that you literaly take all of the Shard’s power from the metal. Instead, your Connection becomes so strong that you have a “key” that gives you free access to the Shard. Of course, it’s merely a theory, but I believe it makes sense with what we know.

shards Does a shard have to have an intent to "be" a shard?
Mistchemist16 replied to Darkeye Venev's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Perhaps but not necessarily. Avatars seems to operate on the same principles as Shards Pod The combination of a Shard and its Vessel leads to sapient mind with access to a virtually infinite pool of Investiture. Are avatars the product of a similar combination of a mind and a pool of Investiture, only on a smaller scale, with less power? Brandon Sanderson I would say that is an accurate representation of what an avatar is. It’s not the only way, but it is an accurate... some avatars are that. I would say that’s the standard. Starsight Release Party (Nov. 26, 2019) That being said, it may be that a full fledged Shard needs an Intent to operate on that level. But here’s a thought. What if the Shards are only so overpowering in Intent because they spilt the more complex traits of Adonalsium and there’s simply never been any magic strong enough to cleanse that Intent? If that’s the case, there’s no reason that you can’t effectively have avatars on a Shard level scale, especially if that’s what Adonalsium was. It just hasn’t been done. -
First off, I think you could make a compelling argument that most Shards who have been Shard for a long time would struggle to become hybrids at all. Accepting another Shard means twisting your own intent and we’ve seen how strong that grasp is, like with Ati. Dominion and Ambition might be able to do it all the time because it aligns with their Intent, but you’d probably need a fresh Vessel in most cases, who still has mortal goals As for what Shards go together, it’s a bit tricky because the Vessel can do so much to reinterpret a Shard’s Intent. In this case, opposites don’t attract. There are a few that seem to be pretty good fits and work within Brandon’s use of the Magic the Gathering color wheel (TLDR is that each color has similar ideologies along with allies.) Honor-Preservation: (Double white) This makes sense when you think about it. Both Shards favor order and perhaps some sense of fairness. It also fits with the idea of keeping oaths Endowment-Cultivation: (Double green) Both are willing to give themselves to others and see results grow in the long run. Ruin-Ambition: (Double Black): It’s important to note here that part of why Ruin focused on entropy was because Ati was tempering it. Under another vessel, Ruin could easily mean “destroy your enemies”. Which justifes the combo Dominion-Ambition: (Black/White + Black): Pretty self explanatory. Perhaps the most active of any Shard combo and the most likely to try becoming the one true God Autonomy is almost certainly the hardest shard of all to hybridize because it is inherently opposed to any match. In fact, you might even need to get more than two Shards in a hybrid before Autonomy slots in cleanly

Make your own fanmade Metallic Arts Metals
Mistchemist16 replied to The Titan God's topic in Mistborn
I really like how your logic for the looker is so similar to how Brandon came up with Feruchemy in the first place. He first came up with bronze because he had insomnia and wished he could store his wakefulness for when it was actually useful. Pretty cool. -
I’m a nerd who loves all things magic system and recently gotten into the Cosmere. I specialize in Mistborn, but I’m looking forward to exploring everything Sanderson has to offer

Make your own fanmade Metallic Arts Metals
Mistchemist16 replied to The Titan God's topic in Mistborn
Silver is an external mental pulling metal. Allomancy: A silver Misting is known as a Flashback. Burning this metal will Pull on the target’s memories. This act is known as Recalling. By suggesting a false memory while Recalling and acting with Intent, the victim will “remember” the lie as if it happened (think hypnosis). If the memory is unconvincing, it will be harder to Recall as the victim can easily dismiss it. As with Soothing and Rioting, the force is emitted from the Flashback’s chest towards the head. It may also be used to affect an individual or group and is nullified by copperclouds. A Flashback can also Recall true memories from the subject. When an emotional memory is Recalled, it may evoke the associated emotions Savantism: If someone were able to burn the amount of silver needed to become an Allomantic savant wity the metal, they would be able to influence the cognitive aspect of objects. As with Forgery, it requires some level of knowledge to be effective. It is also inferior to actual Soulcasting in making entirely new objects. However, silver is far better at restoring an object to whatever it was in the past. Feruchemy: A silver Ferring is known as a Bullhorn. Silver is used to store auditory volume. This includes both one’s voice and any sounds within their spiritual sense of self (the same that blue steel lines revolve around). When a Bullhorn is filling a silvermind, any attempt to speak will feel normal in breath, but the sound comes out quieter as if they were a TV on low volume. When tapping a silvermind, a Bullhorn will be able to increase their volume. They can use the volume of a shout without needing to strain. If the sound is loud enough, it can deafen living things and shatter glass Tapping another Bullhorn’s silvermind will allow you to impersonate their voice. The voice does carry a limited degree of Identity. Thus, a Bullhorn tapping a different voice can activate magic systems of the donor as long as the activation is auditory Hemalurgy: When used as a Hemalurgic spike, silver steals volume or voices. Blessing of Mimicry: A pair of silver spikes that allow a kandra to use the voices of the donors. It is most commonly employed alongside the bones of the original donor. The kandra can switch between their natural voice and the fakes. Billon, an alloy of Silver and copper. It's an external mental pushing metal. Alloy Composition: The billon used in the Metallic Arts is made of sixty percent copper and forty percent silver Allomancy: A billon Misting is known as a Phantom. It Pushes memories from the target. This act is known as Blocking. During this time, the subject will struggle to think of the memory in question and may not even try to recall unless prompted. The victim will see the affected parts of the memory as blurry and indistinct. However, unaffected parts will remain clear. For example, a Phantom targeting the memory of a person will cause only that person to be blurry in the memory: the scene is clear. When used to target immediate memories, a Phantom can appear effectively invisible. As with Soothing and Rioting, the force is emitted from the Flashback’s chest towards the head. It may also be used to affect an individual or group and is nullified by copperclouds. Savantism: If someone were able to burn the amount of billon needed to become an Allomantic savant with the metal, they would be able to influence the cognitive aspect of objects. This does not allow the Phantom to transform objects. Instead, affected objects lose their identity and become intangible. Blocking the object further would cause the object to disappear all together. Feruchemy: A billon Ferring is known as a Dancer. Billon is used to store body language. A Dancer tapping body language will become more clumsy and less adapt at nonverbal cues. This may lead others to believe that the Dancer is lying. When tapping a billonmind, they will gain great control over their body movements, even involuntary ones. This makes a Dancer great at lying because they will not give off many tells Hemalurgy: When used as a Hemalurgic spike, billon steals determination. Blessing of Courage: A pair of billon spikes that fills the new kandra with ambition. This doesn’t necessarily increase the kandra’s willpower and provides no resistance to emotional control. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Feel free to ask any questions by quoting this post. -
It’s up there, but steel is easily the most versatile metal. It’s good offense (shoot metal projectiles, enhance gunshots,), defense, (blocking metal), movement, (coin jumps, flight at high level). It even has a lot of underappricted sensory potential for those who can learn. Steel sight can tell you what metals an Allomancers has in their body and could potentially detect hidden people, among other things. It also works great with F-Tin to enhance said steelsight (perhaps even enough to see the Spiritual Realm) or can be Compounded to take every other benefit up to 11 and run at the speed of sound. Pewter may be easier to understand, but steel is king for the serious Allomancer

I’ve actually considered one other possibility for merging Preservation and Ruin, though the circumstances are trickier. By taking on the role of Hero of Ages and saving the world, that act would define the new Shard. As such, it would be called Guardian or something similar. In a way, it’s also more complimentary in a few ways. First, the addition of Ruin means the new Shard wouldn’t be obsessed with preventing any change as long as the big picture is intact. Second, the destructive intent of Ruin is channeled into Preserving that which the Vessel cares about. Which could carry interesting implications, though it would be easy to become overly protective and start destroying everything.

Knowing now that Trellium repels Investiture, it may be possible to figure out what its alloys do. We already have a few hints about atium through Malatium and Era 1 atium, which seems to be an electric alloy. My theory is that a God Metal combines with any base Allomantic metals will combine the God Metal’s unique effect with the regular Allomantic ability. For Malatium, this is why it combines the past sight of Gold and sees others. Atium’s power is seeing the Spiritual Realm, which create various mental and temporal effects. What makes Autonomy so interesting is that we already have a Push-Pull dynamic for the base metals and that fits well with the property of pushing Investiture. Here are some predictions for the metals alloyed with Bavandium Steel-Iron: There are two major interpretations here. The first is that these alloys can easily Push or Pull Invested objects and people. Harmony help us all of people start using it to push blood. The second is that it Pushes the properties of Investiture around. In other words, a metal mind Pushed with the steel alloy stops holding an attribute. If this is true, Pulling may also give you the ability to store or even benefit from these powers. The two interpretations might even function together, though the second makes more sense for enhancement metals Tin: You can draw in sensory effects and push them into others. Fun for causing sensory overload. I also put this here because my theory interprets Allomantic senses as drawing Investiture coded with information. You pull it in then repel it to the target. This may not work with tin because it’s physical but it might for other Allomantics sense Pewter: Another fun one. You can resist physical Invested attacks. This could include Steelpushed coins, lightning from a Stormform singer, and others. Unfortunately, it won’t save your mind or soul Copper-Bronze: Ti explain this, my theory is that Bronze and Copper work solely mental. When a copper cloud functions, you aren’t blocking their Investiture: you just make it invisible to those who would otherwise have it as a sense. Bavandium Bronze might simply share your senses again. Bavandium copper is more fun: it could prevent people from detecting their own Invested abilites. If a Mistborn were affected, for example, they might either feel as if they had no metals or see the power as an indistinct blob. It could really mess with people who have multiple abilities like Mistborn or even make the enemy more wasteful Zinc-Brass: Not entirely sure, but it might push emotions out of people and into others. So you could push happiness out of someone into someone else who is sad and the second person would feel happy directly even though they never felt so before Gold-Electrum: Shows others the past or future respectively Cadmium-Bendalloy: Shoot time bubbles at other people. Naturally good for cadmium Aluminum -Duralumin: Can’t fully speak for the enhancement metals because we don’t know everything about them. They may just allow Mistings to use the effects of Nicrosol and Chromium, assuming Mistings can burn God Metal alloys Chromium-Nicrosol: Again can’t speak for sure until we learn more in Era 3. My theory is that you could Push and Pull people’s ability to use Invested Arts. So if you had Chromium and were fighting a Thug, you could pull the Thug’s ability and burn peweter. Nicrosol would instead give to someone else Of course, my theory is far from perfect. The biggest liberty I’ve take is allowing Pull metals to “repel first and pull second” rather than always keeping the pulled object away. But that’s just my perspective. Anyway, tell me your thoughts in the comments and suggest any workshopping I might need. Thanks for reading! Have a nice day!
