My dad: You're obviously depressed and are showing symptoms like being tired all the time, insomnia, really low energy, aching, and low appetite, and you have a really hard time waking up and getting up on time for school on 5 hours of sleep on average. So how can I help you with this?
Me: I don't know maybe anti-depressants and an actual structured routine supported by my parents, which neither seem to be willing to help with?
My dad: Nope, absolutely not. If you don't try harder and just do better, I'll just send you to a military school for six months! That's obviously the solution!
Me: (-_-)
SpoilerHe only really says how can I help and I need to just do better, but he knows about all the other stuff so I would think he'd understand how to help especially considering he's a medical professional and struggles with depression too, but I've practically begged my parents to help me out by establishing a routine, or at least a regular sleep schedule, but they just...don't and it's really frustrating
SpoilerJust to be clear, there are many reasons I am not going into the military, so going to a military school is definitely something I don't want at all

Just needed to vent a little bit lol. I'm most likely going to at least get it together enough it doesn't happen, but it's still really frustrating that that's the only thing he thought to try

Ah man, I'm sorry you have to deal with this, I totally understand how you feel. A lot of my mom's advice around my own depression/anxiety symptoms tends to make me feel worse for one reason or another . . . not to mention she seems to think that'll I'll completely 'cured' if I took those vitamin pills regularly. It's can be so frustrating.
