  1. Telrao froze when Malum disappeared, then glanced at her glowing lines on the floor. They flickered close by where Calano sat on his bed. She strained, trying to sense Malum, but she could not feel him. She glanced at her lines, her furry forehead furrowing. She padded up to Calano and jumped onto his lap, getting in his face. "Calano... Calano, look at me." She blepped his nose. "I'm here, Calano. Don't listen to the voices. Look at me." @CalanoCorvus @The Aspiring Archivist
  2. Telrao growled again. I guess, she thought, blasting interdimensional beings isn't a very effective solution. So instead, she began drawing a few lines on the ground, asking: "So who are you, Ancient One?" She added a few more select lines that curved around each other, "To gloat over a grieving man?" @The Aspiring Archivist
  3. Before Calano had the chance to do anything stupid, Telrao quickly drew Aon Daa, glaring at the being holding the bolt. "Do not disturb the one who is grieving!" She growled as she added the final modifier. The Aon hung in the air, glowing brightly, before twisting into a pure beam of white light and blasting the strange man in the chest. @CalanoCorvus @The Aspiring Archivist
  4. Somewhere in the Clinic Something tugged at a piece of Telrao's mind. She paused in her steps, then grabbed that Connection. Calano. And he's... grieving. She stopped short, then tried to pinpoint where he was. There. She bounded down the hallway, her eyes beginning to glow. She felt an oppressive presence build as she got closer to Calano's personal room. She quickly drew Aon Tae to open the door. Something seriously wrong was happening. As the door swung open, she padded through and saw something that made her heart jolt. A being was holding a corruption bolt... something like... Emma's. No. She stepped forward, the pure power of Light stoking brightly within her. @CalanoCorvus @The Aspiring Archivist
  5. Telrao continued to watch Thaidakar as he went into his room. She sensed an... odd presence. She couldn't quite place her paw on what it was, nor why she could sense it. The new Connection inside her thrummed happily after her use of the Light. She didn't even need time to recover. The power was... boundless. She smiled, then remembered what had happened to the person she'd shot at. How he'd exploded into shadow, red eyes shining... That shadow... that presence was the one she could feel. It lingered in the air, like a bad scent. At that moment, Telrao made a decision. I am going to stick with this being. He may need help... But she wouldn't reveal herself. Not yet. The element of surprise may just come in handy. @Thaidakar the Ghostblood

  9. Do you ever have those days when fear seems to crush you, every expectation pull you down, and every smile made seems a lie?

Those days, when the light is darkest, I feel doubt seep into my mind like a malignant disease.

Nobody loves you, it whispers, nobody would truly want to be your friend - they only put up with you because they feel bad for you. You're not worthy, you're a sorry, worthless excuse for a human being.

Why don't you just give up?

In those days, I can swear that the doubt, the fear, is like an oppressive presence, like a large constrictive hand tightening around my mind, bruising the happiness, the joy, the simple wonder and beauty of the world itself. Disrupting the fragile peace.

Those days, it is difficult to pull myself in. To be myself. The voices whisper that I am a lie - the very person I convey myself to be, whom others see as me - is a falsehood. A fabrication made to draw attention, to take and never to give.

Those days, my heart is heavy, its difficult to smile. A mind that was so full of light and joy yesterday becomes  like a burned-out candle - used, tossed aside.

    Worthless.

But then I remember; I am loved. I am not alone. I live in a complete, joyful family, with friends that will support me and smile when I can't. I live in a warm house, with nutritious food, and wonderful nature outside. I remember that I love loved, and that I am able to do whatever the Lord directs me to do.

The voices are still there - the fear and pain are as sharp as a dagger - and I may still feel alone and afraid, the colours dimmed, the world less vibrant.

Yes, on those dark days when I can hardly sing songs in church with conviction, when simply smiling is an effort, I remember.

I am loved. What is a more wonderful thing than that?

Thanks for comin' to ma TED Talk, Humans. I think y'all are amazing people - it has been and will be a joy interacting with you all!

    'Til next time!

  10. The Clinic Telrao gasped softly as Thaidakar narrowly avoided being decapitated. She stepped forward to help, then stopped herself. He doesn't need help. She watched for a second longer. The Light shall shine. You know what to do, Little One. A voice whispered, warm and soft like the sunshine of an Autumn day. Telrao breathed deeply and quickly began to draw Aon Daa with her claw, lines in the air bursting to life, brighter than before. She finished adding the modifiers, then swiped the final line. The Aon shuddered and glowed brightly before releasing a pure beam of white light that hit the attacker's chest.
  11. Oof angee boi ~ nice sketchie! That scene... o boy, hard core.
  12. Curious, Telrao stood and followed Thaidakar. Her fur glowed softly from beneath the skin as she felt the Connection to the god of Light grow stronger. She paused for a moment. But wouldn't that mean... no, no, he's not going to die. She shook her floofy head and continued to sneak after Thaidakar.
  13. According to the general rules of the English language, shouldn't "were" be said "weer?" And if you spell "long" with two "g's" it sounds basically the same?

The English language is broken. Whoooo

Also, Duolingo is taking over my life. I'm onto a 342 day streak. Do I need help?

Have a wonderful day, night, evening or morning!

  14. Telrao breathed deeply and bowed her furry head. "I will serve, and I will preserve the Light. Darkness shall not bind me, nor shall any that share my Light." She licked Wizard's nose, purring. "But what about you?" She asked. "You... can't leave..."
  15. So... I used the word "Deevy" in real life today.

    My siblings were extremely confused.

    I gave them no context.

We need to get "deevy" into normal human speech patterns, my 17 Shard brethren. I have begun planting seeds in Australia.

Soon, we shall take over this world. Together, in the name of the Cosmere, we shall Unite.

  16. Telrao stood and padded closer to Wizard, her furry face stained with tears. "Wizard," She said, her voice wavering. "I... can feel the Connection to Emma. She... she..." The small furry feline broke down and curled up next to the larger being. She breathed deeply. "Why am I still here? I can feel the darkness. It's... killing me." Pure white patches of fur began to bleed to a deep, deep black. Telrao trembled, curling up into a smaller ball. @The Wandering Wizard
  17. Uhm hi Humans! Sooo... haven't posted anything on here for a while, so have a sketch and a poem! (I have done so many sketches and I need to upload them... alas, it shall be a while 'til then) Eliira is my character for Fadran's Fellowship of the Thing RP - She's not active at the moment, because I'm not very active *cough* It'll be a couple more weeks 'till I can get back into RP's haha  The poem is from Eshonai's perspective (the Stormlight Archives). If you've been watching my SU's, you've probably seen the poetry I've been writing from different character's views. They're quite enjoyable to write! Welp, have a wonderful day, Humans!
  18. Ooo - nice sketch! Faces are tricky Ya did an awesome job!
  19. Another question? Of course not! All questions have answers, which cause more questions! I have, unfortunately, seen none of those movies, but I have read Dune. Like 5 or 6 years ago... I liked the world building, but I don't remember much about the story. I've listened to the main Interstellar theme, and enjoyed the masterwork of music. But I have not watched it. The Tenet storyline sounds really cool - one day I shall watch it, but my parents probably won't let me. Ehhh sorry for the disappointing response! *Sneezes and throws a muffin*
  20. In response to @Mr. Misting's questions... (sorry for the extremely late reply!) Favorite non-fictional book? That's a hard one! I basically solely read fiction. I'd say the Bible - it's filled with many stories. Revelation is my favorite of them all. Favourite sense? Most likely sight. I know it's super obvious when you look at it (ha), but I love to see things - beautiful greenery, adorable animals, and the smiles on other people's faces. Wh- heh? Most satisfying way to break a window? Playing a high-pitched sound above human hearing and watching it shatter instantaneously. Sounds awesome. (Ha) Pickles are... interesting beings. They taste... curious. I prefer them in things, but not on their own. If I were to invent a sport, it would have something to do with cats. Maybe having a group of super floofy, adorable kitties and seeing if anyone can resist patting them. Seven. It sounds nice. Favourite prime number is also seven. If I were to choose a different one... One. Just to break your mind. Least favourite number would be three. It's odd. I would never go skydiving. More people have died yeeting out of planes than getting yeeted by sharks. So yeah. Funeral planning? HAH! Something like I would fake my death, and while my few friends and family are mourning, I walk in and say "oh, sorry, am I late?" Then lie down in the coffin. Then rick roll them all. Then release the adorable kittens from the secret compartment underneath my coffin. Then die. At the funeral. That is how it shall go. In response to @AonEne's question - I found my pfp online whilst discovering one of my favourite digital artists, APOFISS. He makes really cute, floofy kitties and I LOVE THEM! The cat is cute because it is chubby and floofy and I just wanna schwoosh his leetle face
  21. Time to kind of sort of predict the future and kind of sort of defy Alethi society! HA!

  24. Hello, Humans!

So, my SU’s poetry has taken a darker turn lately (characters’ POV’s in SA can be VERY dark if you wish them to be), so I decided to write a more fun, light poem for y’all to enjoy! And you can’t possibly guess what it’s about!

    Spoiler

    Cat

    Glinting eyes, reflecting light,
    Shine from the drowning darkness.
The silent padding of soft paws,
    Hushed on carpeted cold flooring.

With a mew, and muted steps,
The Cat stalks towards its prey.
    In deep dark, barely visible,
Is lithe body and swaying tail.

    Light glimpses at the creature,
So soft, so sweet and deadly.
The light shines on smooth, silky fur,
Carefully groomed with a coarse tongue.

    Crouching, tail twitching, prepared,
    In glad anticipation,
The cat waits, hackles smooth, paws set,
The cat flicks an ear and pounces!

    Victoriously, head low,
The Cat trots across the sheets.
She slips closer to her sleeping prey,
Lifts a furry paw… and bats my face.

    Betcha didn’t guess haha! >:D

Anyhow, hope you have had (or will have!) a wonderful day, and continue to let the sun shine wherever you go! (Even if its winter!)

    You’re awesome! Bai for now

  25. Eliira studied the strange metal object in her hands, supremely confused. “So… what is this again?” She asked Zir’ii as he zipped ahead as a ribbon of amber light. He looped about and landed on her hands in the form of a tiny dragon. It is a key, Eliira. You use it to open things. “Like a chest?” Like a door, Human. Zir’ii pointed to a tag dangling off the side of the key. The key unlocks the door with this number. “Oh.” Eliira breathed. “So that’s why that guy have it to me. I thought it was a gift, or something.” After being confronted by yet another human, Eliira had awkwardly extracted herself from the hoard that was forming and hastily escaped down the carpeted hallways. Zir’ii sighed and burst into a tiny amber cloud and began searching the hallways again. Ah, here we are! He said proudly, hovering in front of a door. Number 77. A nice palindrome for your strange Alethi heritage. “I am not an Alethi. Sure, I explored those lands for a couple years, but I am not Alethi. I’m Riran.” Whatever. Zir’ii replied, slipping into the keyhole. Put the key in here and twist it to the right. Then open the door. Eliira shrugged and did as the strange spren said, opening to door to reveal a nicely furnished room, with wooden paneling, a comfortable bed and, most importantly, an ensuite. “Ooooh!” She gasped, quickly slipping into the room and slamming the door shut, taking her heavy pack from her shoulders and settling it onto the carpeted floor. “It’s so… nice!” Eliira quickly opened the window shutters to let in a fresh breeze. She opened the door again, peeking down the corridor. Seeing no one, she closed it and locked it with Zir’ii’s instruction. She put her back to the door. “I am NOT leaving this room until I can leave again. There are too many people!” And if you get hungry? Zir’ii asked from where he was exploring the ensuite. What’ll you do? “I’ll make do.” She replied, pulling out a massive tome from her pack. She handled it reverently and settled onto the springy bed. Opening it to the title page, it read The Complete Collection of Mistborn: From the Histories of Scadrial. Written by Cephrandrius. A book? You’re supposed to be filled with wanderlust! Zir’ii blustered. “Stories are exploring. I’m going to stay here and read this until we can get back to Roshar.” Zir’ii rolled his amber eyes. Oh, you’re going to itch to explore sometime. Just you wait…
